Dark Match:
* Owen Brown defeated Owen Black via Armbar #941. Prior to the match, Owen White proclaimed Brown needed to defeat the entire Owen Family before he'd be given the gift of losing to White. Really horrible match that bored the empty crowd in the parking lot. After the match, White kicked Owen Black out of the Family and threatened to have him eaten by Owenback if he ever saw that loser in public again.
Smackdown:
* Seth Rollins kicks off SmackDown talking about how he was robbed of the WWE World Heavyweight Title and how hard it was to overcome his injury. Dean Ambrose interrupts and then Chris Jericho. Jericho says he beat Ambrose two weeks ago and wants a title shot tonight. Rollins gets mad and attacks both men. Jericho vs. Ambrose in a non-title match is made for tonight
* Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews defeated Sheamus and Kevin Owens with a Helluva Kick on Sheamus. Owens attacked Sami backstage on the big screen
* Sasha Banks defeated Dana Brooke by DQ when WWE Women's Champion Charlotte got involved. Paige attacked Charlotte, leading to Sasha and Paige standing tall
* Alberto Del Rio defeated Cesaro with the stomp in the corner. Del Rio looked to be fine
* Another vignette with Darren Young and Bob Backlund
* WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day defeated The Vaudevillains after publicly roasting them and the bygone area. The Wyatt Family attacked both teams after the match
* AJ Styles defeated Jimmy Uso with a Calf Crusher
* Titus O'Neil is interviewed backstage about getting revenge on Rusev and taking the WWE United States Title. What happened on RAW was just a sample of what's to come
* Natalya cuts a promo saying how tired she is of waiting and now she's taking. Becky Lynch interrupts and talks about their 10 year friendship but Natalya doesn't care. She leaves the ring but Becky attacks. Natalya retreats
* Chris Jericho defeated WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose in a non-title main event. Jericho got the roll-up win when Ambrose was distracted by Seth Rollins, who was on commentary. Rollins attacked both men and stood tall to end SmackDown

Could see them putting Jericho in place of Reigns for Battleground with Ambrose pinning him to retain. That would still leave Rollins with a legit gripe about not being pinned in the match and a returning Reigns to build for Summerslam.

First set of spoilers might be fake since another set of spoilers have recently popped up for Smackdown.
Smackdown:
*Nothing to acknowledge the Roman Reigns suspension.
*Graphics for the three-way at Battleground are displayed.
*Mauro Ranallo and Byron Saxton are handling commentary.
*Seth Rollins came out to open the show with a promo. Sami Zayn comes out and WWE World Heavyweight champion Dean Ambrose appears to have an impromptu Ambose Asylum. Seth vs. Zayn is set for the main event.
*Cesaro defeated Alberto Del Rio.
*Sheamus defeated Apollo Crews via countout.
*The Usos confront The Club backstage.
*AJ Styles pinned Jimmy Uso. The Club got involved but did not factor into the finish.
*Seth Rollins pinned Sami Zayn with the Pedigree. Dean Ambrose was on commentary. The graphic for Battleground still lists Roman Reigns. "Where is Roman?" chants live. Good match. Seth attacks Dean to close show.

Also seems like Main Event this week is also suffering from fake spoilers being sent since it also has 2 sets floating around the net.

Yeah, sorry Fan, no offense but I smell what the Lock (Jaw) is cookin' and think he's correct. I'm dubious if not slightly suspicious of the idea that the crowd would reference Reigns' suspension so soon after it was announced. I know we live in a fast-paced world nowadays and word spreads quick via social networks, the internet, etc., but just doesn't seem like WWE crowds these days are usually quite THAT smark-ish.

Got no fucking clue. There is one set that has Sasha Banks beating up Becky Lynch, which sounds fucking stupid.

First ones sounded like a better show than the second so that's why the second bunch seem more legit to me. As for the crowd, they would totally be trolling Roman hard. Story broke and was on a lot of websites and WWE even tweeted it.

First show sounded worse, Jericho should not be beating Dean Ambrose.

I thought it was going to set up Jericho replacing Reigns in the triple threat which I'd be fine with. The rest of the it just seemed better than the second to me.

Have you watched any WWE show in the last 2 years? Of course they would be all over it.

New champ being booked to lose random matches? Sounds like WWE booking to me....

Sounds like it makes sense, Becky beat Dana a couple weeks ago and I can't see them letting that go without Dana getting her win back. 20 or 30 times over.

That sucks.... the Becky segment in the first set would be preferable to her losing to Dana Brooke....

I'm gonna take more of a wait-and-see stance. I know she's one of your favs, LJ, but I'm curious to see if just MAYBE they'll use it for some significant storytelling (who am I kidding, probably won't but ya never know)...

I actually have to laugh sometimes when I see people online that are like "Why do they introduce The Vaudevillains twice?"
Like I realize some are probably kids who can't make the distinction between a carnival barker and a ring announcer, but the ring announcer only announces them once like everyone else. I don't think they had any control over their entrance theme, which I quite enjoyed their first of when they came up, using the "old tyme" organ music or whatever it is, combined with that intro just makes it great. It's like it's 1885 and you're at an old Ringling Bros. P.T. Barnum and Bailey circus, and for those few brief seconds, WWE programming really is the most exciting show on Earth.

Yes, yes he does. They should totally just go with their intro and nothing from the announcer. Maybe on special occasions have their own announcer come out and do the bit from their intro.
My wife personally hates their intro. I find it to be absolutely perfect for them. The black and white aesthetic is very well done. The only niggling issue I have with it is that when they yell during the 'silent movie' portion of their entrance, occasionally they get a bit too loud and get picked up by some of the more distant microphones that aren't muted. I imagine it's honestly the announcers mics picking them up. They need to bring it down a notch so that it doesn't ruin the immersion.

This is gonna sound weird....but honestly whenever the Vaudevillains come out I picture them as bad guys in the wild wild west. Occasionally Sherlock Holmes Victorian setting. But mostly the west.
Will Smith kicks their asses a lot but they do a great job selling it and still coming off as viable villains.
Mr. Nerfect
06-23-2016, 11:29 PM
If they're going to keep them around, they should have dialogue cards attributing quotations to the muted announcers. Things like "This is the greatest team ever!" being attributed JBL. And "Vintage vintage!" attributed to Michael Cole.

Weren't they teaming with Blue Pants whenever they needed a third person for intergender matches in NXT? That was before they randomly turned heel on the call-up to the main roster, I guess I could see Blue as a moustache twirling villian.
