Dark Match:
* Owen Brown defeated Owenback via Armbar #443. Good match with Brown avoiding several attempts at getting eaten by Owenback. Post-match celebration got cut short after Owen White ambushed Brown and stated next week will be a "Loser leaves wrestling forever" match. Owenback started to pour BBQ sauce on Owen Brown before being yelled at by White since he wanted to be the one who ends Brown once and for all.

Smackdown:
* WWE Champion Dean Ambrose kicks off SmackDown as the special guest ring announcer for Jey Uso vs. Seth Rollins

* Seth Rollins defeated Jey Uso. Ambrose trolled Rollins on the mic and made some funny announcements during the match to great reactions. Rollins won a lengthy match with a Pedigree. Ambrose and Rollins had words after the match. Ambrose called Rollins a jackass and Ambrose rushed the ring but Rollins ran away

* Zack Ryder defeated Sheamus with the diving elbow drop

* Tom Phillips interviews Ryder on the ramp and he says he has his momentum back, then challenges Rusev for the WWE United States Title

* Rusev is interviewed backstage by JoJo but he dismisses Ryder as a legit challenger. Apparently he will defend on Monday's RAW. Rusev with another anti-American speech

* Becky Lynch comes out for a match but Natalya attacks from behind. Natalya beats her down at ringside and applies a Sharpshooter to big heat. Referees finally get her off and Becky is helped to the back

* Sitdown interview with Xavier Woods. He talks about his fear of The Wyatt Family and says he will go to their compound with The New Day

* Enzo Amore and Big Cass come out to talk about saving John Cena on RAW. They're sending a message to The Club, to stop them from attacking Cena and everyone on the roster. AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson come out with heel promos and comment on Cena not being here tonight. They threaten to beat up Enzo and Cass. Enzo roasts them after they call Cass a "butt nugget"

* AJ Styles defeated Enzo Amore. Styles won a good match with the Styles Clash. There was some action on the outside between Cass and The Club

* Styles challenges Enzo and Cass to find a partner for a six-man later tonight, which may be the dark main event

* Chris Jericho is backstage looking for his blue scarf. Kevin Owens is wearing it and they have words. This was said to be a funny segment but kind of weird seeing Owens showing a humorous side on TV

* Kalisto vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz is made after Kalisto takes credit for throwing potato salad at Maryse on RAW

* The Miz defeats Kalisto in a decent match with a Skull Crushing Finale

* They aired the same Bob Backlund - Darren Young vignette from RAW

* Renee Young interviews Sasha Banks backstage. Dana Brooke and WWE Women's Champion Charlotte interrupt and Sasha vs. Dana is made for RAW

* Sami Zayn defeated Chris Jericho with Kevin Owens on commentary. The "ole!" chants started early and there were several near falls. The action went outside of the ring and Owens threw a drink at Sami, then Sami threw Jericho at Owens. Sami fought off a distraction from Owens and got the pin on Jericho with a roll-up. After the match, Jericho interrupted Sami's celebration with a Codebreaker. Owens then destroyed Sami and hit a pop-up powerbomb to end the show

Ryder also debuted a new theme for his entrance song which is a previously unused remixed version of "Radio"

Unless the person doing the report took a bathroom break, the WWE literally forgot about the Lesnar announcement.

no brock announcement?

Going to edit it in via post-production to keep it from being spoiled, likely, although it will still get spoiled tomorrow night with the international airings probably.

Themes ok actually. Probably about time he got a new one. Feel like I'm going to miss the old one like I miss Zigglers old one. Maybe the old themes just remind me of times when these guys were fun and relevant.

Start of the theme terrible, ok when it starts the part that is just a remix of the old theme....

It's ok but doesn't seem NEARLY as great as the version he's been using since 2012:

Apparently the Lesnar Summerslam announcement wasn't added into the broadcast version of Smackdown at least for Canada who gets it earlier than the US.

Didn't stop the announcement from getting leaked by the media which probably expected it to have been revealed by now.

Well that is just super lame.

I think its fine, we've never seen them have a match when Orton was a huge star, and incase Lesnar loses on Saturday he could use the boost beating a guy like Orton.

MEH. Though I see where you're coming from but I'm sticking with being unexcited about this.

And Noid, to continue our Live Audio Wrestling dialogue from about a month ago... and to throw in some more 6 degrees of separation.... a guy I've grown up with plays on a softball team and is friends with LAW hos Jason Agnew... the team is called the Diamond Cutters. So weird. He just told me yesterday. He was like "Our team is called the diamond cutters" and I was like "Lol is that after Diamond Dallas Paige's finishing maneuver" (In my head I'm Vince McMahon as a commentator) and then he was like "Yeah my buddy Jason is a huge wrestling fan and works for the fight network" or whatever and I was like "lol is your friend Jason Agnew?".... probably more of a you had to be there story, but I thought of you, Noidster.

Orton needs a return match @BattleGround to get a nice win under his belt before his loss to brock.....

Orton vs Kalisto (or Sin Cara)?.... I dunno.

I think Brock vs Orton is a great match for Summerslam. Two of team top three stars in the company that have never stepped in the ring together. Youngest WWE Champion vs youngest World Heavyweight Champion. Kind of dumb to announce it to be revealed on Smackdown and then not reveal it but I guess that happens to Smackdown a lot.

Jon Jones is probably getting suspended from the UFC.

Well, they actually have faced off, but we're not "supposed" to remember that.

Uninspired. He probably won't even be able to compete after Mark Hunt destroys him.

I'm not in the same boat. This is a dream match of mine since Brock returned to WWE. I hope Brock is cleared for it but if he isn't they could hold it off til Wrestlemania.

Wanna see Orton hit an RKO mid-F5.

Or Orton and Brock hitting a double team F-5-to-RKO on a shark (or maybe, like, an Army tank or something).

Yeah he pretty much dismantled Mark Hunt. Thought he was going to end it in the 1st for a while there.

Just remembered that the air date last week was 11 years exactly after the ill-advised segment on the 7/7/2005 SD! where Hassan had masked men "kidnap" 'Taker on the same day as the London subway bombing which led to Hassan's termination.

Wish they'd bring him back. Would still be a perfect gimmick in today's world.
