WWE.com has learned that John Cena will be in action tonight, squaring off against longtime adversary Alberto Del Rio. In case you don't remember, Del Rio just so happens to be the guy who ended Cena's historic reign as United States Champion at WWE Hell in a Cell in October 2015.

To say there's some bad blood would be an understatement, and if Cena's not careful he could be walking into his SummerSlam bout against AJ Styles with a broken arm. Then again, will The Phenomenal One choose to wait for Sunday’s showdown with the leader of the Cenation? After all, Styles is one Superstar who enjoys taking any advantage he can get. * Cool ring gear for Naomi. Still don't really feel like she "fits" the division. I think girls like that should have matches with Natalya to prove their ring worth.

* Why the fuck would you break up The Wyatt Family? It is the only use for Erick Rowan. They need Luke Harper back to be the main worker of the group and to give American Alpha someone other than The Usos to beat.

* Curt Hawkins is coming back to SmackDown. Cool. I guess. I liked Hawkins, but I don't know why I should care about him or his Matt Facts. A lot of these older talents are just getting signed and then jobbed out anyway. Why invest these resources into them? The correct use of Hawkins is to put him back with Ryder by the way. They never got the run they deserved as a team with individual personalities. Mojo Rawley can cook in the oven a bit longer.

The Asencsion and The Vaudevillains can hang around as teams to beat. Well, a good case could be made for The Ascension returning to NXT and being used down there where they have some semblance of credibility. But we don't need The Hype Bros or equal emphasis on some of these teams that are not going to help the division as anything other than kindling.

Even though I've mostly enjoyed both shows since the draft, holy shit does SmackDown ever make me wish Raw was 2 hours.

3 hours is a long fucking time to watch a non-PPV, even if it's a good show.

I'm not the first to say it and I probably won't be the last, either, but RAW's increased roster depth is more than enough to warrant the need for a third hour.

Everything on SmackDown feels a bit disjointed to me. There doesn't really seem to be a thread throughout the show. They throw out the tag teams and it's like "Here are the tag teams!" then they throw out the women "Here are some women!" Then they throw out the main eventers and it's like "These two guys don't like each other! Grrr!"

I'm looking forward to the SmackDown after SummerSlam and how they build to Backlash though. I imagine that Dolph Ziggler is on a journey as a main event talent now. I'm predicting that his failure to win the World Title brings him some attention from Bray Wyatt. I'm starting to think that Orton might actually beat Brock now and that he might be Ambrose's opponent while Del Rio does something with AJ Styles. I imagine Samoa Joe gets called up, and I cannot see why he wouldn't end up with John Cena at some point. I know people want to see more of a build, but I cannot imagine how they keep them separate with SmackDown being so small. Maybe AJ Styles & Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena & Samoa Joe at Backlash? I imagine that the two teams fighting over the Galactic Tag Team Titles will be American Alpha and The Usos. Belts will inject some interest into that tag scene. Maybe Harper & Rowan end up in that, but I'd hold them off originally.

I really want to like Smackdown better because of their top talent but I just can't really get into the show. Tag division is pathetic to the point where I think American Alpha might be the best option to be first tag champs for the show. I wish Smackdown would go to 3 hours, the commercials just take me out of the show. Won't be watching live in a few months when the CW shows start back so it should get better for me then.

Dolph Ziggler as Colonel Sanders for WWE World Champion.

Turns out there was a legit reason why WWE had a KFC themed match since part of it is going to air during SummerSlam this weekend.

There will be a live action commercial debuting during SummerSlam for KFC, featuring Miz and Ziggler as well as their new Col. Sanders character. The commercial was taped on 8/16 in Austin, TX at the night of the Smackdown tapings where Ziggler was dressed up as Col. Sanders and they did a match with Miz dressed up as a chicken. KFC will also use it outside of wrestling. The commercial, which debuts on the PPV is a joint project of Yum Brands and WWE. It will also run on WWE Network broadcasts going forward. Also at SummerSlam, Cricket a co-sponsor of the show along with Yum Brands, will have inside and outside arena signage and a Snapchat filter. There will also be Tapout ads during the broadcast as well as Mountain Dew and video game ads at times during the six plus hour live show
