Look at that good guy Roman Reigns looming in the background to ambush two guys trying to hash out their friendship.

That match was good and Raw was pretty good I think, compared to most Raws

I loved how the crowd erupted in boos when Owens and Jericho were arguing and you just knew that meant Reigns was setting up for the Spear.
The fans will never like him but Vince isn't gonna ever stop. It's 2005 Cena all over again.

Guess Cass follows the same school of thought Orton uses when it comes to wearing pants.

If I was a person watching an episode of Raw for the very first time tonight, there's absolutely no way I would think Roman Reigns was the "good guy."
I think he's subtly officially heel now.

Possibly. To Vince, any reaction is a good reaction. Reigns consistently gets one of the loudest reactions of the night even though it's clearly heel heat.
But in modern WWE most of the faces are booked like complete dickheads anyway. So I guess it works.

Sami Zayn to be traded to SmackDown for Dolph Ziggler?
Evil Vito

Zayn for Ziggler could work, but I actually think Ziggler could be refreshed tenfold with an overdue heel turn.
Actually Zayn vs. a heel Ziggler sounds like a fun program.
At least if you trade Kalisto for Zayn, you're swapping two guys you know are never going to be heel.

So....new day losing the titles at tribute to the troops maybe?

Think they don't actually break the tag record till after that day. If they were to drop the titles at the Tribute show, Demolition would still co-own the real record.

Maybe they drop them at Roadblock to someone
Anyone

Gonna be awkward when Big E, Kofi Kingston, or Xavier Woods do something to mildly annoy Vince in a few years forcing him to book some team to have a 480 day title reign.

Kalisto is a likely trade actually. I found it weird that they moved him away from the Cruiserweight Division in the first place.

If you account for The New Day having that third member, they only equal 160 days per champion; as opposed to Demolition's 239 days per champion.

Kalisto is a likely trade actually. I found it weird that they moved him away from the Cruiserweight Division in the first place.
I think they still have hopes of Kalisto being the "next Rey Mysterio" and so they wanted him to purposely be away from the cruiserweights.
Once they had decided Rey was "above" the cruiserweight division, he never interacted with that division again. The only difference is he was still on the same show as them. They couldn't move Rey off of SmackDown because it was a priority to have Hispanic stars on that brand, so instead he just ignored the division altogether for three years before the belt folded.
Now that the Hispanic audience thing isn't a priority with SmackDown being on the same network as Raw - they just thought it'd be easier to have Kalisto on a different show.
Problem is, while I think he's really good - being in high flying matches is clearly the best use of his talents. He's been getting his ass handed to him by Baron Corbin for months. Where is he supposed to go now?

I agree with that assessment. Kalisto is awesome.

• Even though I knew The New Day were going to win, I was still unhappy when they won.
However, I feel that the record will always have an asterisk next to it from now on.
See, The New Day have broken the record and they are the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history, but Demolition are still the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in history that are a traditional two-man tag team.
The New Day using The Freebird Rule sort of messes things up. The vast majority of the time, Big E & Kofi were the ones who defended the title. I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand the amount of times Xavier Woods has defended the titles.
If the Freebird Rule wasn't in place and Big E & Kofi were given the honour of having their names replace Demolition's in the record books, then everything would be pretty definitive but with Woods buzzing around, it just gets technical.
So, The New Day are the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in history, but so are Demolition, when you're talking traditional context and all that.
Anyway, I now expect The New Day to drop the titles on Sunday.
Getting away from The New Day, I really feel the team of Cesaro & Sheamus growing on me. Cesaro was fantastic in the match on Monday.
• I was pretty happy to see Curtis Axel have a match, even though he lost. The way the announce team kept referring to him as "The Axe Man" filled me with hope that maybe he'll be getting some level of push in the future. Also, I may be wrong, as it feels like forever since I last seen him but he's wearing trunks again. No more jorts makes me happy and it added to my hope of him receiving some level of push soon.
• Daivari and Lince Dorado are two Cruiserweights I like. Daivari more so. This should have been a good match but it seems that we're getting another feud in the division with Daivari and Gallagher.
Still not a fan of Gallagher though. He just comes across to me as a very very poor man's William Regal. The US love their stereotypes, just look at Finlay, he was given a Leprechaun for Christ's sake and instantly the fans loved Finlay and his little Leprechaun buddy, so I can see one of the reasons why Gallagher is liked by the fans. He's 100% British/English stereotype. I'm expecting to see him backstage with a cup of tea soon or make some reference to Benny Hill or Mr. Bean.
• I'm happy TJ Perkins is losing a lot now. He legitimately sucks.
• I'm also happy to see Alicia Fox have a match too, but much like Axel before her, I knew she was going to lose. Why do I like jobbers so much?
But really, Alicia should be in the mix for the title, not be some jealous girl who's got this high school crush on probably the most boring Cruiserweight on the roster.
• Rusev vs Big Cass at Roadblock. I saw it coming a mile away but I'm still cool with it. I look forward to it, as both guys are top notch.
• Oh, Jinder has been found. It's strange that just last week I was asking where Axel and Jinder had disappeared to and then the next week, they suddenly appear with no explanation of their disappearance.
Anyway, this story goes the same as Axel and Alicia:
Happy to see them.
Wish they would win.
They don't.
Cool King is sad.
The End.
Again though, why do I like jobbers so much?
• The segment after the match though with "Shouty Mick" was alright I guess. I feel that along with moving the story of Zayn wanting Strowman forward, it was probably also used just to shit all over Eva Marie, which is cool, I guess.
I'm not bothered.
• Seeing Cena's appearance on SNL looked really bad.
• Even though I spoke about The New Day and everything else at the beginning, the main event was good, but the way that The New Day won and ultimately broke Demolition's record, was pretty shit.
The New Day limped past that record like a dying four legged animal with three missing legs and a bullet in the other. I really thought the way The New Day would win the match would be in a spectacular fashion and in a way that shows that their record breaking reign wasn't just achieved by luck and flukes.
Instead, we got what we got.
I knew The New Day had won it when Owens broke up Jericho's pin. That was somewhat lame, but then for Xavier to be on his back for just over a whole minute, then to crawl to a lucky pin to a laid out Jericho thanks to a Seth Rollins Pedigree was just bullshit, to be blunt about it.
What was worse was it was Xavier that got the winning and record breaking pin. As I mentioned before, the guy has done nothing compared to Big E & Kofi, but for some reason, he gets the moment of glory.
I can only hope that it leads to the break up of The New Day when Xavier begins to proclaim that he was the one that made history but then Big E & Kofi reference the fact that he's done pretty much sweet fuck all for the group when it comes to defending the titles.
• Anyway, overall, Raw was ok, I guess. Raw is still being the B-Show it seems.
Raw is Raw.
I think Woods is probably the "spiritual leader" of the group as the whole gimmick comes across as more in tune with his personality. Wouldn't be surprised if E and Kofi pushed for Xavier to be in that last match/get the win.
