Causality is not correlation. Many of those guys were built up specifically to build Cena. That was their purpose. Others were fed to Cena once they realized their worth was less than anticipated. Corbins worth is mid card. Cena needed the win more than Corbin because Cena has more value.

Agree with Destor that Corbin will be fine and I believe it done him some good. Granted it was a typical Cena/Reigns with Cena coming alive at the end with 5 moves to put his opponent away but Cena did need the win more than Corbin.

Corbin is being booked as a threat in the Rumble so putting him in the main event against Cena and making him dominate most the match shows he can hang in the main event. Maybe next time he won't have Styles there to distract him.

I guess it helped Cesaro a bit, but I disagree with KO since he wasn't really a part of the open challenge and after beating Cena in his debut match lost cleanly (twice?) afterwards.

Sami debuted had an even match but lost against Cena and then wasn't heard from again for a few months. Having an even match with Cena would mean more if Cena didn't have even matches with everyone including Stardust and Zack Ryder.

I haven't watched in a couple weeks. Are the crowds still bailing on the show? The times I watched, the crowd looked tiny and didn't react to much.

Maybe WWE needs to use the time tested formula to help raise the brand to the next level. At least from a live audience POV.

From an enjoyment POV, if it's just meant to be another brand like NXT, then maybe they should consider a similar taping format to NXT and play in front of two hundred people instead of a building with people flooding to the exits.
