Eh, people were saying from the start of December that Road Dogg was doing most of the creative. It might not be that bad.

Ryan Ward has to be going to Raw, surely.

Ryan Ward was previously headwriter of NXT during the Finn Balor era before being brought to SD so he does seem "good" at what he does.

The Revival probably won't be on Smackdown Live now.

Assuming he's going to a new brand, wouldn't be surprised if Ward goes back to NXT like the last time he go demoted. NXT still hasn't fully recovered from the Draft raiding too many of its developing stars.

Don't think he'd be as successful if he moved to RAW mainly because Vince is a lot more hands-on with the brand.

UN-BREAKING: The Meltz says Ryan Ward is still head writer of smackdown. Road Dogg has a new title but the same job, and the two continue to co-write smackdown.

huh

I read the latest observer and didn't see him mentioning Ryan Ward still being headwriter...maybe I missed that

I didn't read it, but that's what's being regurgitated.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, rumors of Ryan Ward replacing Brian “Road Dogg” James as the head writer of WWE Smackdown are not exactly true, as James was actually given a recent promotion in the company. James’ new roll in WWE is something along the lines of head consultant, although the exact job title has yet to be confirmed.

James and Ryan Ward are responsible for pitching scripts to Vince McMahon for his approval, at which point Vince re-writes the shows as he sees fit. James is also the person who reads the scripts to the other creative team members, a job that he has been doing for quite sometime now.

With James’ recent promotion, he is technically above Ryan Ward now, however Ward retains the title of Smackdown head writer, and him and James basically share co-head writing responsibilities.

With regards to Brian James’ future in WWE, he said to be someone who will be a big backstage power broker when Triple H eventually takes over control of WWE, and will be somewhat of Triple H’s envoy in the company.

Why is that?

Road Doggy Dogg had a twitter beef with them called them disrespectful. It might have been smoothed over though.

Rather have DIY on Smackdown anyway. Revival seem like more of a Raw team anyway.

The Revival would get The Club treatment on Raw.

Well there goes SD live's run as the show to watch.

This is a guy who thinks wins and losses don't matter because its all staged

Somebody tell that to Goldberg's career and current run.
