Gave him a 7. I feel he hasn't peaked yet at all. Tons of potential.
Great athlete, unique in the ring and on the mic. Can't wait to see how much better he gets when he finally gets the ball.
Mostly is a must-see segment, just a shame WWE overexposed him on the mic. "Hey he's pretty good! Let's have him talk twice as often, for twice as long!" He also doesn't do a very good job as a heel. Seems more interested in being cool than getting heat.
Anyways, he's got all the tools, and with more experience and opportunity, he'll kill it

Should have been insanely over as a heel by now. If they treated him like the threat his promos made him out to be, he'd be well on his way to legendary status. He's money in every way. Almost wanna go 10 but I feel like that should be reserved for like... 5 guys ever. So, 9.

Give him a six just because WWE has dropped the ball on him so many times. Not his fault but it has hurt him. Has one of the best characters in WWE and has the potential of a ten if WWE would ever take him seriously and he improves in the ring a bit.

He hasn't overwhelmed me, and he hasn't been underwhelming either. I feel...just, well...whelmed. Considering the belt goes to him for the first time @Elimination Chamber, but only as a placeholder guy for Orton to win it @WM33 in the inevitable Wyatt Family Implosion. A less than 2 month reign with only a moderate push and scant build up is not a good look on him. For these reasons he gets a completely whelming 5 from me.

Of course it's possible. Doesn't mean you should. Also, in addition to my previous point the guy has been booked like shit and talks like a cross between Undertaker and some mad, malevolent being who thinks he's God or whatever. If he would speak more plainly and get to the point, and not lose every conceivable chance at PPV's, well, Hell, I might've given him a 7 or 8.

Pretty sure the people rating him highly are all basing it solely on him as a wrestler. Not on the booking. Because basing how good a wrestler is on how he's been booked makes 0 fucking sense.
Ol Dirty Dastard
02-03-2017, 11:19 AM
He has the benefit of actually having an aura and a feeling of being special about him. Even with all of the bad booking. That says something to me.

His biggest problem is all these creepy, ominous promos he cuts make him look like a joke because he constantly follows them up by jobbing and looking like an idiot whose cryptic promos end up just being bullshit. I remember when he beat Bryan clean at the Royal Rumble I was thinking "Holy fuck, they're gonna get this right..." Then, no.

Good to have on a card. Good character. solid work. No mass appeal. Wont really make money on his own but is a good hand.

There's no reason Wyatt couldn't make money the same way Taker did. Creepy monster heel turned face without changing his character. He wouldn't be the face of the company. Not exactly the kind of character you wanna put on morning talk shows or anything. But he could absolutely make money both as the top heel and as a secondary face down the road.

And no one who isn't Cena or a part-timer can draw in 2017. True. But in an ideal situation... if WWE were to suddenly get really good at methodically building characters again. He could.

I don't think it's a matter of him being profitable/a draw in terms of how good he is at his craft, I think it's just more that a "spooky" character feels really goofy in 2017. I mean, they are trying to sell the product to kids mostly now so I guess it still kinda works, but for an adult fan it falls a little flat I guess. Idk. Can't formulate words.

He's not really a totally unrealistic character though. He's a creepy cult leader. I don't think he comes off all that goofy. It works. And in 2017 where wrestling doesn't even try to come off as real anymore, he's a really good TV character. The fact that he can actually act and the character, at its best, has more depth than a wrestling character typically does makes him way less cringeworthy than most. It's a character that is much more palatable to a non-wrestling fan than "guy who wrestles really good".

People are usually booked on things WWE sees or don't see in the guys. It's one of the easiest things to judge people on. People see he hasn't been made a big deal out of and it sticks in their minds.

Based solely on potential I'd give him a solid 8. However, given the way WWE has ruined him to the point that I despise seeing him on my tv almost as much as Roman Reigns I have to go with a 6. Honestly I think he's damaged goods at this point. I can't see him ever living up to his potential now.

02-03-2017, 05:36 PM
Gave him a 7 with his potential being in the 8-9 range if WWE would stop being horrible with how they handle him.
Wrestling wise he's average but gimmick and promo wise, he is one of the best in the WWE at the moment. Only real negative is how inconsistent the WWE has been in handling him. Could have been an even bigger star by now but he's mostly just someone who talks a lot but can't back it up in critical situations.

Just did the math...if nobody votes in the next 45 minutes, Bray would land between Rey and Gasngrel at a 6.58.

The fact that Gangrel scored above Hogan is a testament to how far this forum has come since this thing first started though. Because that's about as "lolIWC" as it gets.

I'd say he's about a 6.58
Voting 8.6 though, to inconvenience the tabulators. I don't really like him but he's not a generic wrestler wearing regular tights using his real name...sometimes that's too much to ask for these days

Also, Sabu has been ranked, I think its only fair we get to rate his buddy from MI and from their ECW days.
Personally, I'd probably rate him, oh, I dunno...about a 4.20, 'cuz any score is high when you're R..V...D...😁

Yeah, it's weird going through and seeing how low some guys are and how high some others got.
I'm too late to the Bray party. I'm not very high on the guy in the ring, but I do enjoy the mic work. It seems like he is about to win the WWE Title, so he'll be the next of guys that we are just told are legitimate main eventers now, and we have to like it.
Would rather see him get an IC Title reign and drop the belt to Luke Harper. You've set a pace with him -- slow -- I don't know if you should just jump with him being a main event guy.
I'd like to see him held off in a lot of matches and basically kept for special occasions eventually. I don't particularly look forward to his in-ring, and if it's kept for certain dates, it could be a big deal to see him in a match.
