Yeup Smackdown has been really good with pacing stuff ever since the Brand Split started. Also not having an over-run means they have to be tighter with the show's flow.

Meanwhile RAW flat out doesn't take advantage of their 3rd hour with the amount of waste/filler per week. Even before the 3 hour era that was a big problem with the show.

I really feel like EC is in the wrong spot though. I feel like Roadblock would make more sense in it's place playing off the Road to Wrestlemania thing. Elimination Chamber should be the same month as Hell in a Cell I feel. Both shows should have a similar themed PPV each month and they switch every year. Like if Raw is having Money in the Bank, Smackdown should have King of the Ring that same month and flip them the next year so Raw get KotR and Smackdown gets MitB.

If they absolutely have to do the Cena/Nikki stuff at WrestleMania (which I'm not entirely sure they will do), I'd rather see Cena & Nikki vs. Miz & Natalya. Maryse can endorse Natalya as her Canadian representative or something. The heat is between Nikki and Nattie at this point. As a veteran, it'd be nice to see Nattie get a spot on the Mania card, and this is the most "personal" issue she has.

I'm not pro intergender wrestling, but I think she and Cena could work some cool spots for the crowd that are kind of fun. If the goal is to create a stir with the match, this is probably the "safest" way to do that. Nattie can refuse to tag out when Cena tags in and Nikki can give Cena her blessing and the two could lock up and Cena can be somewhat outclassed by Nattie at points which would be a nice little spot and John is basically bulletproof at this point in his career. I dunno, just spitballing there. I'd probably lose myself in the antics of the match if that happened. Wouldn't mind seeing Cena take a German suplex from Nattie or something.

That's exactly who I was talking about. This is WrestleMania, it's time for a Lance Cade resurrection.

Sincerely though, I would be intrigued to see a Trevor Murdoch return. Not right now, obviously, but down the line, he'd be an intriguing Wyatt Family member. Why do they all need to be giant monsters? Trevor could be singing songs in the background as Bray is foreground telling stories. But I kind of feel like that about every mid-card aimless act that I think could use a boost. Jack Swagger is the one I routinely think "Man, it would just shake off that good boy American stigma he's got." Wyatt, Rowan, Murdoch & Swagger would seem like a light crowd, but I think it'd actually have a pretty interesting dynamic. Murdoch & Swagger as the tag team and Rowan as the heavy that just stands around and helps out the team and Bray in singles. Rowan doing squash matches would be fun too. It probably won't get as over as what Strowman is doing, but Rowan is a little better in the ring than Strowman, if not quite as charismatic.

I feel like they could've gone Nikki/Cena v Miz/Maryse at the Rumble. Would've been a fun match. I understand that would've left Styles without an opponent, but no reason to think they couldn't have given him a filler opponent.

That way you could've had Cena and Styles at Wrestlemania, giving Cena his record title win on the biggest show of the year.

The Nikki v Nattie feud could still get going now. Have a multi woman elimination match where Nattie costs Nikki the win to further the feud, then have the blow off match at Mania and have Nikki ride off into the sunset

I'm really not looking forward to the rest of this year on SmackDown, if I'm honest. I feel slightly pessimistic when I think of SmackDown in 2017.

It's mostly because of how much Triple H & Co. seem to have a raging hard-on for Baron Corbin. Like I've said many times, it completely boggles my mind how he's managed to get the push he's gotten so far. The guy is just flat-out shit.

This week on SmackDown the crowd were hot for Bryan (obviously) and then The Miz came to the ring and the crowd were still pretty hot, then Corbin's music hits and the crowd just dies instantly. He managed to suck the arena dry.

He keeps winning his matches and they keep referring to Corbin as a future WWE Champion, but how is that WWE Champion material? Even Roman Reigns gets a reaction. Sure, it's not the reaction the guys in the back want, but it's still a reaction and a hell of a lot better than what Corbin can achieve.

When you have a guy that can kill a hot crowd with only the first note of his theme, go on to bore them with his mic skills and then proceed to completely suck in the ring, you shouldn't really be pushing him to be a future WWE Champion.

You should be sending him back to developmental.

At this rate, I can honestly see Corbin being a WWE Champion by 2018.

I like Corbin but I do believe they rushed him up. Thought he was coming along in NXT and really wanted to see him have a NXT title run before he got called up. I think the lone wolf gimmick kind of hurts him as he could use a manager or an Enzo type to help out with his blandness. Also hate that the motorcycle sound doesn't play when he's not coming out for a match. The motorcycle sound is how I recognize his theme and a lot of times when they don't put it in I wonder who the hell it is. Hell let him ride a motorcycle to the ring, just something to make him memorable.

Corbin would be a good fit as a heavy for Styles kind of like HBK/Diesle. Hell you could bring in Nash and have him start a new Wolfpac that could playoff the lone wolf thing and The Clubs NWO connection. Add a guy like Swagger or Harper and you got a pretty good group.

Agreed Corbin was progressing well when he was protected more on nxt. But in reality, I've always felt he had a bad look. His hair is awful, he doesn't have a good body, outside of his finisher he's not particular memorable in the ring.

Maybe he could be something in the long run, but midcard heel is his ceiling for me. He was much better as disgruntled wanna be main eventer in nxt

I have often joked that the best Bray Wyatt promos were done by Luke Harper. Because he pulls of creepy without the rambling. It's like creepy, get to the point.

It's just a shame that his promos are so rare that every time he does one, people are like "Harper can talk?"
