Full list of topics from the twitch stream
List:
- More space for character names (character limits) Limited by horrid UI. Director is pushing his team for a fix. [my note: they didn't address long team names being bugged to 12 characters]
- More variety for strikes used in strike exchanges Doable. So they're doing it.
- CPU Logic CPU Logic is very delicate. Very tricky to mess with or add new features to. It's something Director wants to do but it's something that's taking a backseat until he gets all the new features implemented. So if it happens, it won't something happen until very very very very late in development.
- Leagues and tournaments Currently lots of restrictions. Something the dev team will try to fix in the future. There's some type of bug with belts and something about deleting a character but they won't be able to fix that and suggest only using finished wrestlers in leagues/tournaments.
- New weapons Kyle names trash cans, chain, pipe as suggestions people mentioned on the fourms. Asks chat what they'd like to see. Table and ladders are a no for now unless it's a move animation.
- FPPW as a vanity project for Director He's playing with other people's money but he's trying to make the game he wants with the resources available. Sales are on track for what they expected. If it's sells better, maybe they'll be able to do more in the future.
- Nuanced rules Going outside during a landmine match and having non exploding barbed wire specifically mentioned. Mods have covered some of these. Seems possible and they want to add it in.
- Mods Director is happy to see people messing around with the game.
- Mods, continued That said, things that people are doing with mods aren't as simple for them to implement since they have to bugtest, etc.
- Mods, continued again Some people have found stuff that will be added in the future like movelists. Only dangerous thing is not everything in the code will get added into the game. Example: Apron powerbomb, doesn't work right. Won't be in.
- To the Japanese fans The US is big share of the current userbase. Director expected more Japanese sales. The Japanese site tries to show to use Steam and things like that. So the barrier is high for them since they don't really PC game.
- PS4 version No timeframe but it will get released. Please be patient Japanese fans.
- Online lag They're doing everything they can to improve the netcode. But it's tricky since Fire Pro is more precise than most fighting games. You can cut down the lag by playing with players closer to you physically but they're looking into ways to improve it.
- Edit points This is a tricky discussion since everybody makes wrestlers their own way. They don't want to handcuff anybody. Director uses 150-200. Kyle does the same. They both agree that lower points is better but it's up to the community to decide.
- Head programmer on live stream They want to do that since alot of things regarding Fire Pro doesn't make much sense unless you're looking at the source code. Would chat be interested? Although they leave some things vague on purpose. Kyle will make a post on the forum for people to post their questions. [this part is poorly summarized. I'll need to rewatch the vod to clarify this part]
- Selling moves Land finisher and both stand up immediately. Doing a flying move and having the other guy pop up. There's alot of things that effect that. Not a problem in human vs human matches since you can hold a (xbox) or x (ps) to play dead. Maybe a way to fix that would be for a 'play dead' value to be added.
- Final comment from Director No firm date on when they'll leave Early Access. Next Spring is the absolute latest they can stay in. Keep sending your questions and comments.
- Finisher move stealing [I missed this part. Something about it being very difficult to add to CPU Logic since there's a bunch of different factors. They're thinking about it]
- Different venues have different match ratings Confirmed by Director. It's used as an example of how there's things happening behind the scenes that the player doesn't explicitly know about but they can kind of feel it out by their gut.
- More arenas coming soon Also confirmed.
- Menu lag with wrestlers Not something coming up in the upcoming patch but something they hope to address in the future.
- P1 Keyboard, P2 controller Not working. Something they didn't think about. Something they'll ask the developers about implementing.
- Controllers Try using first party controllers. They've tested some third party controllers and they worked but YMMV.
Kyle solo without Director:
- GM Mode Hopefully within the year but he has nothing to share with us at the moment.
- New Parts He caught Director heading out the door. Director is being cagey about specifics but they have some cool things in the works.
- MP3 support Not allowed on the workshop due to the legality. He's not sure if it defaults back to a default theme.
- Adding your own voice Seems doable and it's something he's also asked about but he has to check with the devs.
- Very simple tweaks regarding match rules Seems like it's possible if mods are able to do it but it's something he'll have to check with Director.
- Adding moves Director's going to shuffle what moves he was planning to add into the game after it was datamined to keep some of the surprises.
- Heads Going to ask Director if they can do a smaller bald cap so they don't stick out from under the hair.
- Tag Team Entrances Will ask Director.
- Kyle takes notes from chat regarding potential edit filters. He likes search bar, alphabetical and using the tags from workshop. He'll talk to director.
- Wrestling style specific match ratings He doesn't know if they're planning to add it. Seems like a good fit with Management Mode. He'll ask Director.
- Logo editor Fell to the wayside due to the console version since they'd need some type of paint tool. He believes it's something they're working on.
- Creating new moves Extremely complicated with the dev tool. You're doing a frame-by-frame animation and it has a tool to check to make sure the new animation is compatible with all the create parts. That's why it takes so long to make new moves and why they just can't import stuff from the GBA Fire Pro.
- Timed Battle Royale He doesn't know why they only limited it to 8 participants total. [my note to clarify: 8 wrestlers is the max they can have in the ring at one time. so this would be like a royal rumble match in other wrestling games where new people enter as others are eliminated] Seems like something they can expand but he needs to talk to Director.
- Arena Editor *Kyle writes it down* "Very interesting idea"
- New Belt Parts Something Director wants to improve. Kyle's not sure of the status.
- New match types Asks chat what they'd like to see. He doesn't know about adding WWE style matches since they may be copyrighted. NO TO LADDER MATCHES STUPID CHAT.
- The Fire Pro t-shirts they're wearing Again, they licensed it out to another company. That company doesn't do international shipping but Kyle is trying to work something out.
- Think of questions for the head programmer since that will be the next stream.

Hey, here's a mod that does the following
BLOOD MOD: This makes blood stains on the mat permanent and allows for 500 of them
TAG TEAM NAME MOD: This mod (and 3rd party tool) allows you to name tag teams.
REFEREE BLOOD FIX: In the default game the referee would always bleed when knocked down. This mod adds a random chance to that, so instead of bleeding all the time, he'll bleed a much smaller percentage of the time.
MORE MATCH OPTIONS (MMO) MOD
INCREASED WEAPON COUNT MOD
WEAPON CHOICE MOD
REGENERATE LIGHT TUBES
BREAK COUNTOUTS
RING MAT DATABASE - Allows you to add logos and what not

Please close the game before modifying music files.
Place music files into the following directory: (Assuming you didn’t change the location of Steam’s installation folder)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FPW\BGM

MMA fight styles receive large damage bonus to strikes.
Resolution Options Added
When launching in Windowed Mode, you may select window size options based on the size of your monitor.
.
Edit Mode Improvements
When you select an existing part layer, the parts list now defaults to the current part instead of returning to the beginning of the list.
Added new filters to parts list menu.
With the parts list menu open, pressing Y(Xbox)/Triangle(PS4) toggles between the parts list and filter window.
With the cursor over a layer, pressing X(Xbox)/Square(PS4) deletes the current part.
With the parts list menu open, pressing LB/RB(Xbox)/L1/R1(PS4) cycles through pages of parts.
Loading icon added to parts list menu.
[Mouse/keyboard]With a part selected, right clicking cancels the selection.
Previously, selecting a base part with additional part layers when all layers were already filled would cause a confirmation message to display. This confirmation message has been removed and the additional parts will not be added..
Improved cursor movement when selecting a part. Pressing the right corner moves the cursor down a layer, and pressing the left corner moves the cursor up a layer.
Revised order of body parts from the pulldown menu.
[New order]Face > Chest > Waist > Upper Arm > Forearm > Hand >Thigh > Calf >Feet
Revised filter font size and order.
Multiple filters may be applied simultaneously.
When selecting a color, pressing the confirmation button/right click closes the color picker.
Added SFX when closing color picker.
When selecting a color, you can now move the cursor diagonally with arrow keys.
Mouse Menu Support Added
Certain windows (such as the task bar) still lack support. We plan to patch this in a future update.
Gameplay
Fixed bug where Ukemi was not providing a spirit and attack boost.
Wrestler Parts
Revised issue where Calf > Bear parts were darker than bear parts for the rest of the body.
New Moves
Counter: Flapjack
Jump From Post: Diving Cutter
Front Grapple (Big): Final Power Bomb
Opponent Down - Face Down, Near Head: Arm Hold Dangerous Knee Kick

Entrance themes are bugged though. Adding more themes to the folder screws up who the previous ones are assigned to.
Last patch there was a bug in the new features and they released a hotfix patch same day. Hopefully it's the same with this.

Still doing my WWE G1 whenever I have some free time. I'm through 7 of 9 "rounds" at this point and the blocks have been wildly different.
Big Cass leads the Raw block with 11 points, but with Braun, Roman, and Miz breathing down his neck at 10 points and Ambrose alive by the smallest of margins at 8 points.
Meanwhile in the SDL block Jericho has a perfect 7-0 record and 14 points to show for it. He's beaten Cena who is alone in second at 10 points, so therefore he has already won the block and stamped his ticket to the finals. Most everyone else has been 50-50 in true WWE fashion, except for Orton who is in bum last with 2 points.

Updated version of carlzilla's mod suite adds a theme database that allows you to assign themes to downloaded wrestlers. Also, I tested it out, and file order won't effect the game if you assign themes using Carl's database, so that's the way to go. Otherwise you can type a serial number in front of each file name, to keep them in order when adding new themes.

I've actually been tweaking the stats to parameters and logic of all the edits I download so this kind of thing doesn't happen. Even if you have two edits from two really skilled edit makers, it might be a mismatch, because everyone has their own ideas for logic and parameters.
Obviously, everyone loves the unpredictability of firepro, but if lower card guys are beating higher card guys all the time, it ceases to be special.

Ok, so it's not a logo editor. It's a tool for overlaying 1024x1024 png files onto the ring textures. Here's an example.

I get mine from this thread in the arena
http://www.fpwarena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1517
As far as making your own, I don't really know anything about image editing so I can't help you there.
First off make sure you have the current version of Carlzilla's mod suite. He released an updated version a couple days ago. Just download it from the same place you got it before, as he just updates the file. Then replace the old Carlzilla.dll file with the new one. I recommend doing this first, because whenever you update the mod suite, it removes the textures and you have to reapply them. Inconvenient, but it's a good idea to keep the mods updated alongside spike's updates.
Anyway, here are the instructions from Carlzilla
In order to use the ring mat database you need to ALT-TAB from the game and find the Ring Mat Database window in the PWGR window.
You will then need to create an entry for any ring you want using a custom texture. To do this hit the ADD button under the list to the left of the database window. This will add a generic entry.
Select this entry and select the created ring to use from the top dropdown list. If you have not created the ring yet, you should do so now, and then when you've saved it, come back to the Ring Mat Database window and hit the "Update Ring/Image List" button on the bottom right hand corner of the window.
After you've selected your ring, you'll need to select your texture in the second dropdown list. The first time you run the game with the mod installed, it will create a folder called RingMats in your default FirePro directory. Place any ring texture files in this directory. They should be in PNG format, and 1024x1024 in size. The default texture was posted in the Texture Modding thread, I recommend you use that as a template for all your custom ring textures.
Once you've created the Database entry, all you need to do is select the ring when starting a match and the correct texture will automatically be applied. The game will save the database when it closes, so there's nothing you need to do in order to save your changes.

I bought a budget laptop from Walmart. Only $350. Got it for Fire Pro World, but was surprised to find it could play far more graphically intensive games like Street Fighter X Tekken and Deus Ex Human Revolution. I use a wired 360 controller, so it's the same as playing on a console, but I can play wherever I want in the house.
Honestly, if you're really interested in Fire Pro World, I would look into it, as mat textures are only the tip of the iceberg in terms of cool shit you can do, that won't be possible on PS4.

Newest version of Carlzilla's mod suite adds entrance attire
ENTRANCE ATTIRES:
In order to use an entrance attire, the wrestler needs to be added to the list of wrestlers set up for entrance attires (you can find the tool for adding wrestlers to this list in the PWGR window, under entrance attires). Once there, just find the wrestler you wish to use entrance attire in the drop down list, and hit the Add button.
That wrestler will then use the LAST VALID ATTIRE SLOT as entrance attire. That means that the last attire slot with a little circle under it in the appearance edit section will be that wrestler's entrance attire.
Wrestler's seconding other wrestlers will always wear their entrance attire at ringside (this seemed to make more sense to me, at least in most cases).
You can not have multiple entrance attires for the same edit at this point. While this is technically possible (attire slot 2 being an entrance attire for attire slot 1 and attire slot 4 being entrance attire for attire slot 3), I have not set it up this way, and when tested it caused minor, but noticeable slowdown during entrance loading/switching...so I decided to set it up the way that I have instead. It is unlikely to change.

Hey Fignuts, what do I have to do exactly to get the patcher working again since the update?
Fignuts
08-29-2017, 01:02 AM
What exactly is the problem?
Did you recreate the ASSEMBLY-CSHARP.ORIGINAL.DLL FILE? You need to do that every time spike updates, before you attempt to patch anything. You also need to download the latest version of the mods you have. For instance, redownload the Carlzilla mod suite, and replace the previous Carlzilla.dll file you put in the data managed file.
Helmsphere
08-29-2017, 06:04 PM
I figured it out, as you said I just had to redo the assembly file.
Do have another question. So I've noticed that every now and again, my CAW themes will switch, like not to something generic already in game, but to another theme I've downloaded, is that still something they are working on, or should I be naming the themes to something more then the wrestler name? Should I be putting a number in?
Fignuts
08-29-2017, 06:11 PM
They actually fixed that in the latest patch. That said Carlzilla's theme database is still better for assigning themes than the in game system. It's faster, and you can assign themes to downloaded edits as well as your own.
Fignuts
08-29-2017, 06:37 PM
Also, with the new version of Carlzilla's mod suite, you have to assign nameplates to your custom ring textures. The download for the mod suite comes with png files of the default nameplates. Put them in the same folder as your mat textures. Then when you go into the Ring Mat Database, there will be a tab for nameplates. Assign the nameplates for both the red and blue corners.
If you don't do this, the camera will pan all the way to the right during the entrance and the edit will not come out. You'll have to close out the application.

I wish there was a mod that actually allowed you to edit workshop wrestlers, to make minor adjustments such a changing a nickname, finisher, or switching the attires around without having to make a caw that's a copy of it.
I mean I know it's a easy workaround but considering I'm going to have so many of my own custom created wrestlers it might get hard locating said wrestler.

Do you have the latest version of Carlzillas mod suite? Keep in mind that you can't update Carlzilla's mod suite from the patcher. You have to manually download it and replace the old Carlzilla.dll file with the new one.
Make sure you are decompressing the whole .rar file. There are folders that the game needs for the mods to work right.
Inside the Ringmats folder in the .rar file, there will be two folders. One for Arenas, and one for cages. Take those folders, and put them in the Ringmats folder in your Firepro Directory.
So parts files, which are the turnbuckle pad textures, just go in the Ringmats folder with the mat textures. Any ramp or stage parts need to be put into the arena folder. Inside the arena folder you will have six folders, each corresponding to the six arenas available. You want to put the stage, ramp, and floor parts into the arena they belong to. Each folder comes with the default texture files inside, and it's easy to tell which folder is for which arena by looking at the stage file inside, but here's a guide just in case:
AR00- Big Garden
AR01- SCS Arena
AR02- Mexican Arena
AR03- Spike Dome
AR04- Korakuen Hall
AR05- Dojo
Now the next part is important. Your Ring name, parts file, stage file, floor file, and arena file all have to be named with the same name. So for instance if you're doing NXT, the in game ring name has to be NXT. Then the Mat texture has to be NXT.png. The parts file will be NXT_parts.png. Here's some pictures to illustrate it for you.
Here is the Ringmats Folder. You can see the NXT mat texture, and in the row beneath it, the turnbuckle parts file, named appropriately.
http://i.imgur.com/LtD4Ek4.png
Now here is the AR01 file. Again all parts named appropriately. The only file I downloaded in this image is the stage file. For the floor and arena texture files, I copied the default textures and renamed them to go with the other NXT resources. This is because the game loads the sections of an arena in a specific order, and if you just add the stage file it won't work. Here's what it should look like.
http://i.imgur.com/WIkKwYO.png
Finally once you start the game, go into the Mat Textures window and hit the ringside textures tab. Go to the arena you are changing and choose the arena.png file you made in the arenas folder.
http://i.imgur.com/QFHbE6N.png
Now it all should work.
Let me know if you're having anymore issues.

Also, a lot of mods haven't been updated through spike's official patches, so they could cause problems working with other mods, or even just in general.
Personally I only use Carlzilla's mod suite. He is always adding new stuff, and he usually updates it whithin a couple days to be compatible with spike's latest update.

I'm glad they adjusted some of the Top Rope dives, I hated when my edit would go for a Springboard Asai Moonsault and would hit the ground before the guy would even make it to his feet. Granted in my E-Fed career, I did make it a habit of intentionally botching a Asai Moonsault.

Also, ring mat and arena textures are useless now since Spike redid the textures. So that sucks. People have figured out how to use the new textures, but it's not a simple case of copy and pasting the old stuff. They'd have to redraw all the logos and everything.

God, I am fucking loving the increase in priority slots. You can have guys transition arm drags and snap mares into rest holds. Make sure big guys follow up slams with an elbow or leg drop. Have guys go for pins after certain medium level moves. I didn't think it was possible for Fire Pro to replicate match pacing more realictically than it already does, but here we are.
I've always respected Spike as a developer, but these past few months have brought that respect to a level no other developer has matched in all my years of gaming. Their twitch streams where they chat directly with fans. The moves and content they add that fans specifically ask for. Their open support and encouragement of the modding community. Hell, this one guy posted a bunch of attire ideas he mocked up in photoshop on the steam forums, and not only did Spike respond, they said they are going to officially put some of his ideas in the game. WHO DOES THAT?! FUCKING SPIKE/CHUNSOFT, THAT'S WHO!

Posted this in casual ON PURPOSE SHUT UP I DON'T MAKE MISTAKES:
Thought the flying knee would be a corner to center version of Daniel Bryan's flying knee, but it's more like a shining wizard pin combo. Actually looks quite a bit like Drew Mcintyre's flying knee though his isn't a pin combo. Good substitute.
BIONIC ELBOW LOOKS AMAZING. They got the fist rolls AND the hip shaking. This was made JUST for Dusty. So good.
FINALLY we have the O'Conner Roll German Suplex. One of my favorite variations of the german, and now after all these years, Doug Williams edits will finally be complete.
New versions of Manhatten Drop and eye rake leave the opponent in a stunned standing state, allowing for some good combos. Will be great for old school edits. Airplane spin also very welcome for old school edits. Need a Full Nelson and standard hammerlock now.
Downloaded this. I'm absolutely terrible at this game so far. No idea how the moves work, I just mash the keyboard hoping something will come out.
Fignuts
11-27-2017, 05:39 AM
Mashing is the exact opposite of what you want to do. Go do mission mode. The first 5 missions teach you the timing.
So the basic version only has like 15-20 wrestlers I can see? 1 ring? I have to download the rest? Cause I'm not even sure how to do it, seeing how I got a torrent and not bought this from steam.
Fignuts
11-27-2017, 05:54 AM
If you didn't buy it then you're stuck with those 20 fake wrestlers. Everything is on steam workshop which you won't be able to access with a pirated copy.
Ah, not cool.
Can't even create my own?
Fignuts
11-27-2017, 05:58 AM
You can create your own, yeah. Pretty in depth though. Takes a bit just to make one wrestler.
Honestly man, it's 20 bucks. Use the pirated copy to get used to the grappling system and decide if it's something you want. Then buy it if you do. Will save a lot of time by just subscribing to edits and ring textures on the workshop. Final version is going to be $40 so you're getting it half priced.
Thing is, I don't spend money on games because I easily gets bored. I can spend some time downloading a game only to play it for 2 minutes and delete it. If I do get into this I just might buy it, but so far I need to check if I'll be even playing this.

Question about Priority moves.
If I wanted to make a Priority sequnece to do say a Turnbuckle Powerbomb, then proceed it with a Discus Lariat how would I do that.
Could I select Turnbuckle Powerbomb, then do strong strike X+B, Will the AI pick the opponent up or do I need to put that in there?
Fignuts
11-29-2017, 07:26 PM
Standing strikes have not been added as a priority follow up. It's already been suggested on the forums, so it's possible it could be added in the future.
As it is you can only increase the chances of the wrestler going for the discuss lariat on a standing opponent but that will obviously won't be specific to following the turnbuckle bomb.

Couple game changing mods released recently.
One adds 3 judge decisions to MMA/K-1 matches that go the distance.
Another mod allows you to add commentary to the game. People already purging audio files from past wrestling games to use.
Helmsphere

Yeah I saw that. The Judges thing I've excited for, but I hardly doubt I would use the commentary aspect to be honest as cool as it sounds.

The commentary for King of Colesseum 2 is incredible, and I will absolutely be using it, if Carl creates a casual friendly mod tool to implement it, like all his others, as it's pretty technical atm.
The Colosseum games mirror actual Japanese commentary, as their excitement level increases as the match goes on. For example, there are 3 different audio files for each move varying in excitement. Combine that with the increasing excitement levels of the crowd, and it REALLY adds a lot to puroresu matches.
Destor

Idnlike to see the commentary mods as a point of curiosity but it would take a lot to execute well
Fignuts
11-30-2017, 12:58 AM
They've already figured out how to attach move commentary to the moves being executed in game, as well as pre match ring announcements. Just a matter of plugging it all in and posting it as a download. Given how much time these guys already spend in the game's code, I don't doubt they'll do it.

Yes.
It's kind of like Samckdown vs Raw's old GM Mode, but with much more depth and options. The Japanese version of Fire Pro Wrestling 2 had it, and it was really good.
Returns also had a version of it, but it was very watered down, and didn't even allow you to use edits. However, the devs are very aware of the unsatisfaction with the returns version, so I'm expecting it to at least be as good as the GBA version.

I typed up a summary of the Twitch chat the best I could. If you'd prefer to watch the full hour livestream, the vod is up at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/208823505
- Dave & Director talk about the move poll. How there was one for US & one for Japan. The excuse for some of the moves not making the cut (BIG WIGGLE :angrymob: ) is that they were too much of a singular signature move where it moved into legally murky water they've been trying to avoid. Testicular Claw avoided that trouble since it's become kind of a staple of various wrestlers. On the Japanese side, Airplane Spin was top of the list. Director was on the fence about putting in something so classic over something new & fresh but he went with the old school appeal on the Japanese side. Although the first batch of moves came from that poll, those aren't the only moves they'll be adding. So there's more to look forward to in the future.
- Dave notices a comment in chat about how it would be nice if there was more boxing moves. Director also agrees. So we'll see where that goes. Director mentions that they added back S-1 mode so it'd make sense to add more strike moves for that.
- Director is getting nervous about the upcoming announcement.
- Three big announcements today
1) Charity DLC for Yoshihiro Takayama on 12/18. It'll cost $3 and you get an official licensed Takayama character and a new move, Spirit Rush Punch. All proceeds, outside of Steam's cut, will go to Takayama's charity foundation to help with the cost of his rehabilitation. He was recently injured in the ring and paralyzed from the neck down.
This deal was worked out by the president of Spike who's been around since the early days of Fire Pro and wanted to help out in some way.
Regarding the new move Dave mentioned if you look up his match with Don Frye, you'll have a good idea about what you're getting.
Somebody in chat asks a question...yes, you'll be able to use this DLC in online matches.
2) Director is really nervous about this next part. Dave & Director cheers and celebrate with a beer. About what?
Fire Pro is leaving Early Access 12/19. The game will be on sale from 12/19-1/5 for 33% off. After the game leaves Early Access, the price will rise to $29.99
(please let them elaborate and don't kill them yet) The past 5 months they've been in Early Access has felt alot longer than they were. The game is progressing nicely thanks to the feedback of the community. They feel fairly comfortable with releasing the game in its current state. So thank you. *Director nervously drinks his beer*
The reason why they're leaving Early Access is so they can turn their attention towards the PS4 version. The details of the PS4 version they can't quite release yet but they'll be making another announcement in early January.
Dave's assistant is monitoring chat and they're relieved to find out that chat isn't tearing them apart like Director thought they would. So thanks again *more beer drinking* He was under the impression that everybody was going to dogpile him. If it was up to him, he would have stayed in Early Access for as long as possible but they knew this day would come where they'd have to move onto the next stage of development.
They want to emphasize that just because they're leaving Early Access doesn't mean that more content and game tweaking isn't on the way.
3) Fire Promoter (aka Managment Mode) is coming in January as the first piece of paid DLC. Japanese fans are already aware of what management mode is. Fire Promoter is going to be based off of the one that was found in Final Fire Pro for the GBA. But that doesn't mean much to the western audience so they're going to go into details.
In a nut shell, it's a mode where you get to manage your own wrestling promotion. You want to raise talent and book matches to increase the size and scope of your promotion. There's all different kinds of ways how you can grow your promotion. Putting on good matches is the bedrock but there's all sorts of other little stuff like signing broadcast contracts, finding new talent or maybe even stealing talent from other promotions. If you do steal talent, you have to be careful since you can build up animosity with another promotion. You can also partner up with other promotions and do cross-promotional matches and things like that.
To give you the scope of the mode...you need to have 14 other promotions and each promotion has to have a minimum of 6 wrestlers signed. Which means you need a bare minimum of 100 wrestlers to begin the mode. Personal created wrestlers and Steam Workshop wrestlers work in this mode. Dave made a mistake. You also need free agents so you'll probably need a minimum of 150 wrestlers. So if you're the person who'd be interested in management mode, you'll probably have far more than 150 wrestlers. Director clarifies. This is more like creating your own wrestling alternate reality.
Regarding paid DLC: It's out of the team's hands.
Director was so worried about the response that he couldn't sleep the night before but the chat isn't rioting which is a nice surprise. The community seems supportive.
The whole point of World was to bring the Fire Pro franchise back to life. They've been trying their best to not nickle-and-dime you to death but these are business matters and thank you for understanding their situation.
The good thing about paid DLC is that they'll make a profit and they'll potentially be able to put that profit back into the game so they can keep developing. The team would like to work on the game as long as possible and, if the DLC does well, that could open new doors in the future.
There's no fracturing of DLC. If you buy the mode, you get the mode. No loot boxes or anything of that nature.
There will be a season pack that contains Fire Promoter and one other unannounced major piece of DLC for a discounted price. [my note: it sounds like these two are the only major pieces of DLC they have planned at the moment and this is a test run to see if it's a feasible business model for Fire Pro]
More details will be released in the next live stream in early January.
On the Japanese side, all this stuff like PC gaming and season packs is a complete unknown. So it's an experiment to see what they can do with this business model and where it can go.
They almost forgot to mention. 4 player online multiplayer will be launching with the game when it leaves Early Access. So that's something to look forward to.

Ver. 1.0 patch notes
Today's patch notes are as follows:
OFFLINE
Fixed bug in Leagues/Tournaments where victory/loss would sometimes not register properly.
Fixed bug in Leagues where result screen would show the winning wrestler with the name “No Entry” and fail to display their graphic.
Fixed bug in League Mode where the correct wrestlers would sometimes not proceed to the finals.
Fixed bug in League Mode where, in a title match, the challenger would sometimes not receive the belt if they won.
Fixed bug in League Mode where sometimes the winner of a finals match would not be recorded, forcing you to replay the match.
Fixed bug in League Mode where sometimes a finals block would repeat until a wrestler beat everyone else consecutively.
League matches now proceed in a more even distribution between wrestlers. (Previously, there was a tendency for a single wrestler to perform all their matches before other wrestlers.)
EDIT MODE
Added “Overwrite” option to Edit Wrestler load menu.
Face part scale arrows now scale at 1% per click. (Previously 2%.)
Added 2 more Priority Attack slots to CPU logic. (12 total)
Fixed bug preventing certain renamed moves from displaying properly.
ONLINE
Added support for four player matches.
MATCHES
Match-specific Match Evaluation criteria implemented for Deathmatches, SWA Rules Match and S-1 Rules Match.
PARTS
The following edit parts were added:
FACE
Base Part 698 – Anime female (Normal)
Base Part 699 – Anime female (Normal) > Separated
Base Part 700 – Anime female (Cool)
Base Part 701 – Anime female (Cool) > Separated
Base Part 702 – Anime female (Adult)
Base Part 703 – Anime female (Adult) > Separated
Sub Part 699 (1) – Anime female (Normal) > Eyelashes/eyebrows/pupils
Sub Part 699 (2) – Anime female (Normal) > Eyeball and eye highlights
Sub Part 699 (3) – Anime female (Normal) > Lipstick
Sub Part 701 (1) – Anime female (Cool) > Eyelashes/eyebrows/pupils
Sub Part 701 (2) – Anime female (Cool) > Eyeball and eye highlights
Sub Part 701 (3) – Anime female (Cool) > Lipstick
Sub Part 703 (1) – Anime female (Adult) > Eyelashes/eyebrows/pupils
Sub Part 703 (2) – Anime female (Adult) > Eyeball and eye highlights
Sub Part 703 (3) – Anime female (Adult) > Lipstick
[MOVES]
The following moves were added:
Standing (BIG) > Fierce Low Kick
Counter > Toe Kick B
Jump From Post > Double Rotation Moonsault
Front Grapple (SML) > Toe Kick B
Front Grapple (MED) > Short Elbow B
Front Grapple (MED) > Jawbreaker B
Front Grapple (BIG) > Screw Neckbreaker Drop B
Back Grapple (BIG) > Turning Two-Step Knee Kick
Back Grapple (BIG) > Full Nelson
Opponent Down - Facing Up, Near Head > Running Middle Kick
Double Team - Corner Grapple > Double Impact
Voice now plays for Counter > Pop-up Jumping Bomb.
Changed category for Corner Grapple > Kinniku Buster to [Rear Blow to Head]
Turning Two Step Knee Kick is Seth Rollins/Kenny Omega's ripcord knee, so that's a welcome addition.
Fuck yeah, finally got a full nelson. Two of the big three old school moves that have been absent from firepro have been put in with this, and last updates airplane spin. Now we just need a hammerlock (preferably multiple variations) and we're all set.
Running middle kick is great to have, as now I can save the running head kick for the people that use it, like Shibata.
Double rotation moonsault is cool, but I dunno who uses it.
Saw the list of new parts and got super hype. Then I saw "anime". Ugh.

Right. So much could come out of this. New edit parts representing official attires, tournaments with actual logos, new belt designs (something FPWW desperately needs) new moves, the modding possibilities for story mode.
And of course the sales boost. There hasn't been a NJPW game on console in over a decade. Wrestling fans in Japan are going to be all over this.

Fire Promoter has been delayed in order to make improvements. Originally edits were going to be locked after the mode starts and couldnt be edited, like the gba version. They are making it so you can change them now.
Dunno how long its been since you checked out mods, but the biggest since the camera mod is the match booking mod. Allows you to choose who wins in simmed matches. Just checked out the move pack. Here's what we got so far.
Double Underhook Piledriver - Front Grapple - Piledriver
Repeating Elbows to the Arm - Front Grapple - Elbow
Chop Punch Combo - Corner Grapple - Punch
Grounded Hammerlock - Face Down Near Head - Punch
Kudo Driver - Front Grapple - Piledriver
Front Necklock - Face Down Near Head - Necklock
Hammerlock - Back Grapple - Armlock
Black Mass - Front Grapple - Kick
Brainbuster to Knee - Front Grapple - Suplex
Inverted Go 2 Sleep - Back Grapple - Kick
Turning Cutter - Back Grapple - Cutter
Pumphandle Neckbreaker - Back Grapple - Cutter
Benadryller - Front Grapple - Kick
They use existing frames of animation, but these guys put a lot of work into these and they look fantastic. Black Mass looks especially brutal, as it uses the selling animation of the straight punch.

8th Move Pack Mod is out today, but it looks like it will be the last one for a while.
I was originally planning to do this with the release of Pack 8, but I feel like that would diminish some of the enjoyment of it, and the team worked hard on it, so I'm going to post this a few hours before so it has time to process and then we can all enjoy Pack 8 properly.
I've been asked by Spike to discontinue move pack releases until they are finished with their own move updates. They also work hard on creating moves, with less people and a larger amount of scrutiny, and Director Matsumoto really likes showing them off, and so we're stealing a bit of their thunder so to speak. Move Pack 8 will be the final move pack release and will contain close to 50 new moves (it could be over 50, some creators haven't sent all their moves to me yet...), and then we'll be calling it quits. We'll still be making moves, so you may see something on a move team member's stream that isn't in the game, and we WILL get you those moves...it just won't be for a while.
If you enjoyed the work of the team, and see them around, tell them thanks (I'm using their discord or commonly known names here...forum names may vary):

In the interest of sanity, we'd appreciate it if you didn't keep requesting moves in the Move Suggestion thread, because by the time we're able to release again, there could be hundreds upon hundreds of requests...and going through that would be a nightmare.
It's a double edged sword when I say I hope we'll be able to start making moves again soon, because that means that Spike will have stopped updating the game, so while I hope that's true on some levels, I also hope that Spike works on the game for a while as well.
Thanks again everyone, it's been a fun ride!
My hope is that their own lack of updates is precisely why Spike allowed it to go on as long as it did, and putting the kibosh on it now is a sign they're getting ready to drop the UI update with their own new moves included.
Either way, the new pack is truly epic. Lots of great stuff in there.

Some new info on the game from BOTSJ
-They want to get a "gauntlet match" in, which NJPW often held in the 80's
-The PS4 version will release with the Heavyweight Story mode and NJPW content
-Fire Promoter will be DLC and will arrive after the PS4 release
-There will be an additional story mode for the Jr. Heavyweight division released as DLC
-One more piece of DLC planned that they aren't revealing yet.
-You can use all the NJPW voice clips on any edit
-You will be able to use 5 different voice clips for an edit as opposed to the 2 we have now.
-Director teased more layers for appearances.
They also displayed a few high res images of Omega, Tanahashi, and Okada, showing off new edit parts and faces

Unfortunate that the ROH guys aren't in, but they're easy enough to make in the game.
Tiger Mask and Liger aren't in due to licensing issues as usual
Biggest omissions are Will Osprey and Jay White. Maybe they have some sort of merchandising deal with one of the European promotions that prevents they're likenesses from being used? I have no idea.
Roppongi 3k probably being saved for the Junior Heavyweight DLC. Hopefully they can get the rest of them in future DLC.
Could be a misunderstanding in the translation, so I'm not getting my hopes completely up, but it sounds like they are making new attire edit parts for every single wrestler in the DLC.

I'm having so much fun with the Royal Rumble mod. Just did a 50 man rumble with stars from NJPW and NOAH. My boy SHO took the win.
At one point Cody Hall got thrown into the corner. Taka then gets thrown into the same corner. Marufuji then goes to the corner and hits a Shiranai (sliced bread #2) on Taka off of Cody Hall who is still slumped in the corner. It looked so cool.
Had another great moment in a Rumble with WWE guys. Styles, Orton and Braun ended up being the final 3. Now they have two versions of the styles clash in the game. One that is just the move, and another specifically for styles that has his hands out pose after putting the opponents head between his legs. So Styles starts to hit the clash on braun, but as he does the pose, Orton hits an RKO from OUTTA NOWHERE! IT WAS SO FUCKING COOL!
Also, when the mod launched, you could only have as large of a number as your system can handle. I don't know the technical details of why, but if you had too many the game would crash.
Not any more. Latest update fixes it so you could have as many participants as you want, regardless of what you're playing on. You could have a 1,000 man rumble if you want.

Some new details were recently announced for the game.
Coming in Fall of this year, "Fire Promoter" will add a whole new management sim-style side mode to FPW. Fire Promoter will allow players to create their own wrestling promotion, hire and train wrestlers, book shows and tournaments, collaborate with other promotions, even work on merchandise sales, (just don't forget to stamp out any notions of a union.). The dedicated Fire Pro crowd have been using the series to run fantasy leagues for decades, so this mode will be a more than welcome addition.
Also coming this Fall is a new story mode chapter based on New Japan Pro Wrestling's Junior Heavyweight division. Players will enjoy a fictionalised account of the high-flying Junior's past year, featuring stars such as Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask IV, Jado (Fuck You We Are Jado and Gedo), Rocky Romero and the pride of Britain; Will Ospreay.
Spike also announced that there is an entirely new story mode also to be added to the game down the line, but no date or details have been confirmed for this as of yet, so that particular addition is probably on the books for 2019.

Hoping that the fourth dlc is roh, cmll or a combination of both. Dragon Lee being in the Jr dlc gives me hope for the latter, at least.
Been going back and forth on whether I want to get the ps4 version. On one hand, I want to support the devs, and I have 28-31 off so I'll be able to create and upload a bunch of wwe edits in that time.
On the other hand my hard drive fried so I'm buying a new laptop in couple weeks and will have to remake all my rosters on PC, so I kind of don't want the extra work on ps4.
If I do get the ps4 version and go on an edit making marathon, I'll probably stream it.
Also the director recently tweeted that after listening to feedback from early access they are including an unlock code for all the moves hidden behind mission mode, so I d be able to get started right away.

Beretta, YOH, SHO, and Yujiro are in the junior DLC as well. That'll get just about everyone in there except for the ROH guys.

Yeah, the full list isn't out yet. With Yujiro being confirmed, that could mean other heavyweights that aren't included in the initial release, like Henare, Jay White, and Finlay.

Still undecided on if I'm going with PC or PS4. But with the NJPW DLC coming out, I kinda wanna do a clean start for my game since I have sooooooo many edits there are better versions of than when I initially downloaded. Is there any easy way to just delete everyone in one go or do you have to actually do it one by one?

Not in game, but I believe there is a mass deletion mod.
At this point, if you have a choice, you should go PC. There are so many awesome mods that the PS4 version looks gimped in comparison.

Yeah I was kinda leaning towards PC since I need to get a new one soon anyway. Mine is about 6 years old and I've been having issues. It runs Fire Pro perfectly fine though, so as long as I back my shit up I can transfer it all to the new PC if/when I get it.

Tested out some new mods, including Trons and custom edit parts and ended up with a pretty nice match, so figured I'd post the recording.

Decided I'm definitely going to carry on with PC mostly due to the insane amount of mods available, but I'll definitely be supporting further by getting the official New Japan DLC and the other packs.

Just a heads up if you are going to delve into mods:
Because recent additions to the mod suite save directly into your save data, and I'm unsure of the amount of free time I'll have to update the mod suite after the 20th of this month, I want to make everyone aware of the possibility that you will be unable to play the game at all after the update until I've found the free time to update.
This really only applies to custom parts and custom moves, but if you use them on any of your edits, there's a chance that your game will not run after the update as the information for those items is stored in your save data regardless of whether or not you have mods patched in. This means that unlike previous updates, where you could just play the vanilla game while you waited for me to update, that may not be an option for some of you this time around.
The only work around would be to remove all custom parts from all your edits (you don't have to delete the .tex files or anything, just remove the parts in edit mode) and all MovePack/Custom Moves from your edits. You can use the option on the Testing Options tab of More Match Options to find edits that contain custom moves or edit parts.
The Mod Suite could take it's usual 12-24 hours to update or it could take weeks (depending on the amount of changes they make to the underlying code), so if you don't want to potentially be locked out of the game for weeks, I recommend heeding my advice and temporarily moving away from custom parts and moves. You've got two weeks to make the necessary changes...after that, I won't entertain any "My game is broken" posts or questions...because lets face it, you're a cunt who didn't read this and you deserve all the broken you're getting.
If you would rather play the game with mods than with the NJPW DLC until the suite is updated, you could set steam to offline mode. I would also turn off automatic updates, and steam cloud saves.

Shittttttttttttttttttt
Really can't be arsed to look through which of my edits have custom parts/moves so I might just nuke my whole roster and stick with the NJPW DLC exclusively until the mod suite is updated.
Not a bad time to do it anyway, most of my edits (current WWE, WCW 1998) came in packs I can re-download with minimal effort. Plus the roster organization tool is an amazing timesaver.
