What does the owl actually own? can he just not call himself "broken matt hardy"?

That would actually make a ton of sense. Since everything he did in TNA and the indies was non-canon to WWE Hardy, he never got broken, so all that time in the wilderness away from WWE just made him SAVAGE.

He was always kind of savage with the face eating anyway.

I could see them doing something like that. If they let Matt come up with something new and give him some freedom it should be fine as long as he's committed as much to it as he was the Broken gimmick. As long as they can keep the bassis of the gimmick it could easily be reworked into another persona. The 7 Deities will make things right with his vessel.

Really don't want to just see them rehash the original story but would love to see him as Broken Matt Hardy again. Savage Matt Hardy just doesn't have the same ring to it and would just feel like a knock off I think but we'll see.

Once the lawsuit is settled, I'm sure they (WWE) will go forth with the "Broken" character.... They didn't develop the idea, but its over as hell, the chants are going to be there regardless and Matt has been around enough to earn the right to use his creation.

Don't get me wrong, the supernatural aspects of the gimmick will surely go by the wayside, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Vanguard-1 make a cameo....
