I mean, they had Seth turn heel immediately before his BIG RECOVERY COMEBACK special aired.

Because RAW's Creative is usually terrible in general. They probably saw Balor getting the upper hand in a brawl being worth the same as a victory by Reigns in a match when those are not actually equal.

Had Balor won, they could have at least played it up as Reigns being injured and create some interest for a rematch with both guys healthy at a later date.
