Oh, wow, battle between two I really don't like.

So let's go - Rey always bored the fuck out of me. I know all wrestlers have their move sets, but I feel like if you watch one of his matches, you've seen them all. Fuck his stupid 619, that's a really dumb move right there. And as I mentioned - I hate his face.

Jeff Hardy - fucking junkie that avoided jail time because MONEY. Don't like his look, violet, pink or whatever hair, hand stockings and a dumbass hipster beard. Willow gimmick was even worse. But his tag team ladder matches were really fun to watch, even if I preferred E&C in them.

So just because of said ladder matches I will go with Mr ShouldBeInRehab.

They've both had some good matches, and they've both phoned it in and had some utter stinkers. Rey Mysterio never showed up out of his mind high to a main event match, though..... so there is that.

I think I have to give it to Rey just based on the number of strong feuds he has been in. Just seems more memorable and "numerous" than Jeff Hardy feuds/moments. Also because if I was making a wrestling fed I would pick Rey in his prime over Jeff in his prime.

Would it be fair to say that Rey deserved to be lazy at that stage of his career? I remember Mick Foley writing that he needed the sock and cheap pops at a certain stage of his career after so many injuries, he just couldn't go like before. He felt he has earned that rite though.

Same is probably true of Rey. Such a fast style, for so many years and so many knee problems. Maybe costumes and 619's and easier matches was what he deserved after having done so much to put Cruisers on the map in the US.

Feel like Jeff did the opposite and wasted his best years with drug problems. Although I am sure some might argue that the drugs came from the injuries/lifestyle.

Either way, I preferred Jeff cause I always knew he would do something exciting, but Rey is a brand onto himself. He was the best at what he did and got over with it in a big way.

No one deserves to be lazy. Work hard or get out of the way. Foley, with his sock, was busting his ass to stay relevant.

Later he became lazy however.

Jeff's a great showman and very innovative, but Rey is just so much better as a wrestler. Nothing Jeff ever did is anywhere NEAR as sound as Rey's work as a WCW cruiserweight.

Obviously the TLC stuff was spectacular, but Rey was spectacular without those kind of gimmicks.

The only stiff hardy ever did that i enjoyed was multiman gimmick matches where he snuck in and took a big bump.

Mysterios wcw run was more than enough to outshine him. Both however i hold in low regard due to lkng stretches of being uninspired hacks.

Pretty tough choice. Mysterio in WCW is legendary. Same with a lot of his WWE work. But that could be said for Jeff Hardy too. Obviously the ladder/TLC matches were top notch and innovative. But people are forgetting just how entertaining the Hardy's were in 2000. I've been watching it back and Jeff Hardy is fucking crazy back then. Risk after risk with no regard for his own body. I can't confirm since I haven't rewatched it yet but I've gotta assume he started going through the motions when he started hitting the drugs hard.

Plus people are forgetting just how good he became again in late 2007 until his next relapse. He had awesome matches with Triple H, Randy Orton, Edge, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, and probably everybody else on the roster. Plus his 2012-2013 TNA world title run was awesome but people don't realize this because it was TNA.

Still probably gonna pick Mysterio, but it's close

Despite the user name, I'm gonna need to side with Rey on this one. Jeff has had moments of brilliance, but unfortunately he squandered many years of his prime with his various drug issues over the years. Rey didn't, he was consistently excellent in the ring year in year out up until only a few years ago when his body really started betraying him.

Because both of them were really lazy for huge stretches and that is irksome to be standard bearers.

To be fair, Rey was lazy because his knees were rebuilt a jillion times, and I imagine wwe's schedule made them feel like they were going to fall off. Doesn't male him any less mundane to watch during that time tho.

I'm giving it to Rey. In their prime, Rey was the better wrestler. And overall, his stories were more memorable. Also as others have stated, Rey didn't show up to the ring in a state that he could injure himself and others. That was as much TNA's fualt, but it still affects how I look at Jeff.

Very tough choice but gave the nod to Rey.

Both were very entertaining with their cruiser/high flying style and had some really great moments in their careers.

Went with Rey mainly for his stardom being bigger and being a huge star in the WWE considering his size and style. Like others said, Jeff probably would have been an even bigger star in both WWE and TNA if it wasn't for drug problems.

Rey in his prime compared to Jeff in his Prime was just so much better. Jeff could tell a great story but he was sloppy as fuck. Rey was a proficient mat wrestler and the high flying shit he did wasn't just daredevil shit to make the girls scream, whether or not it made sense, he had you BELIEVE it made sense. Jeff just jumped off high shit.

I'll always have a soft spot for Jeff, when I was younger he was my favourite, but he just doesn't come close to Rey. And as has been brought up before, Rey only started being Meh once the knees gave out on him.

I wasn't being sarcastic when I replied to you. He caught fire at the point where WWF reallllly started killing WCW, but wasn't an architect of the attitude era. He didn't lay the groundwork but he was a strong part of helping WWE win the war at that point. A definite bit player in his roll.

Tough one. Jeff Hardy was the most over guy they had in 2009. I'm just basing it on the levels of success he had. Rey, on a technical level, might be better, and arguably even more consistent, quality-wise. I don't think there's an incorrect answer to this one.

This shouldn't be close at all. Jeff Hardy is all high spots and Mysterio is arguably the most popular and influential luchador of all time. Dude was legit one of the best wrestlers in the world from like 1994-2002 and helped pioneer cruiser/junior heavyweight wrestling in the US.

Jeff Hardy probably had a more credible main event run for like a year in 2009 or thereabouts, but he's just not a good wrestler.
