WWE needs a new top heel for Smackdown, this isn't exactly a secret. JBL's impersonatres DiBiase on the mic but Virgil in the ring. WWE seems intent on bringing back big gimmicks (Martel, UT, DiBiase), so why not the greatest and coolest gimmick that ever stepped into a WWE Ring?

Evil Doink.

Wait, stop, don't leave, I'm being serious here. Evil Doink was awesome, because everyone hates clowns, and Spanky the Clown didn't exactly do much to help that image.

It's a pretty flexible thing. Take a decent worker with decent charisma that you're not using, and stick him in a clown suit. Turn the evilness up to 11 and watch it go. You could go with a guy like Jamie Noble, relying in his quickness and smarts to screw with everyone. Hell, bring on a few of the Minis from AAA who are fucking awesome and have them be Dink and Donk and Drunk or whatever.

Have him terrorize EVERYONE. This is some Joker type shit, absolutely terrifying.

And the best part?

He'd whip out the fuckin Stump Puller.

I'd mark for this, and I'd look forward to watching SD to see it. I mean, I know people who look forward to RAW mostly to see what the hell Eugene will do next; why can't this be the same?

You know what, I fk'n LOVED Evil Doink. He was the god dam man back when he was all bad ass. He was an evil prank playing cocaine snorting type of clown. And you know what, I wouldn'r mind seeing this again. No other clowns though, please.

What if an Evil Doink came into Smackdown and started beating on Eddie Guerrero, then all of a sudden he nails an RKO? What would that be like?

I say use Jindrak as evil Doink and have him debut next Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday

Seriously...love the Evil Doink idea. The next OVW guy that gets called up to the main roster should definitely ge that gimmick.

Smackdown has enough problems as it is, there are enough jokes for superstars on the roster. Evil Doink was great, but it's done with now, and so are all the early 90's gimmicks, we need to think forward not backwards.

The only old gimmick on Smackdown that I think can go places is Mark Jindrak's Prima Donna gimmick, even though it was used with Rick Martel, Shawn Michaels, and Lex Luger; all of which were done pretty well. Except I've hardly seen Jindrak on Smackdown period with all the cluttered Angle/JBL angles.

He was the man, did you ever see the character in ECW?

I didn't, but I heard about it. "Borne Again" right?

I LOVE the idea of this, but ONLY if this 'character' was a mid-card heel.

The coolest part about Evil Doink was that he would lose like half his makeup during his match and it was all smeared on his face and sh**. He looked like a real pyscho cause of this.

Yeah, we've seen what happens when people go from debut to ultimate heel. The only time it's really ever worked is UT, I think.

Doink would probably be better off has upper midcard for a while, I think, until he gets taken seriously.

And yeah, Matt Borne, the first Doink, wrestled in ECW. After he'd ebat someone, he'd dress them up as Doink.

No, the coolest part would be when he was replaced by a second Doink and Heenan would insist that he was wearing self-sealing makeup.

BTW, the minis in AAA are awesome. They're like 3'6" and do awesome flips and stuff, it would be a treat to get them on my TV any way possible.

I agree.
The last thing Smackdown needs is more stupid-ass storylines.
Can you imagine this board if next weeks Smackdown spoilers have Evil Doink wins the CW title, and starts a feud with Eddie?
We'd all be going :wtf:  :foc:

Factor in the Texas Ranger, Booker Shango, John Bradsh</>it Layfield, the whole CW booking disaster catalogue, Mordecai (the man who never made it into Abba), a watered down Cena, and the usual mandatory talent-wasting and Smackdown would move from being the worst show ever, to being "FU</>CKING AR</>SEHO</>LE BAS</>TARD TV, CATCH THIS YA FU</>CKER!" *cue flying chair heading towards the TV*
