This also means that the Glorious one is likely to show up on Raw or Smackdown now. Even more likely if the do another Superstar shakeup.

Why does it matter if the crowd enjoys repeating "one fall" though
every time the crowd would say "sweeeeeeet" after a two count, the guy next to me would loudly say "WOOP WOOP" for some reason... like 250 times maybe.......... fuck
Kinda answered your question with your next statement. It isn't the thing happening in and of itself, it's that thing where people have lost the concepts of context and restraint. It will eventually go from a European championship match thing to a every match all over the world all the time thing. It stops being special and shifts to annoying bullshit to chant just to chant much like "you deserve it" did.

ya... I don't find it nearly as annoying as you do I guess, since it happened like 1 time and not 6,000 times during the night.

Also before the show, they introduced each member of the NXT commentary team... The crowd booed Percy Watson, then cheered McGuinness, then gave a giant pop to Mauro

Methinks you're confusing me with Daminator.
It isn't detestable to me. Yet. I'm sure it will get there in time. As in, by the time WrestleMania rolls around and it spreads like a cancer to Raw and Smackdown and everything else at the announcement for every match.

Drew McIntyre is great.........
like 9823598253798523 better than Bobby Roode (good gimmick but mad boring in the ring)
McIntyre is great... sweet ass mic skills... great look... looks like a "main eventer"... very athletic and powerful... good matches, etc.
Wish they would turn him heel though
Due to every WWE face just having a really boring "nice guy" gimmick
Saw him as a heel live at an Evolve show and he cut a sweet promo on the crowd calling everyone pieces of garbage who smell like shit and they make him want to puke and stuff and it was really good

I was thinking McIntyre call up to raw to tag with Big Cass..call the Big Macs..legally I guess that couldn't happen

Big Macs? Really? And maybe you'd like McDonald's to endorse them, too?

It just seems annoying, because they do it for EVERY championship match nowadays. To STD's point, I have noticed there are announcers who try not to pause during the introduction, but even then the crowds still shoehorn it in.
Got tickets Fri. for the E. Lansing, MI SDL house show the night after Hell in a Cell in Detroit in October... really hope it doesn't happen assuming there's at least one title match, but have this impending feeling of dread that it will and I'll cringe and slump down in my seat in embarrassment if so.

was at the show, good time as always. have been to all 3 NXT takeover BKs. got free tickets via my friend's friend who works for WWE so pretty amazing seats too.
won't post spoilers but there is one pretty good match from the pre-show/tv taping.
Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Johnny Gargano
Crowd was way into Gargano via him being EVOLVE's top dog for a while and La Boom in Queens being one of their main bases. Prob my personal favorite match of the night. Almas needed the win badly and Gargano is one of those natural "underdog" types who is made to take pins so good call. Also, the DIY shirt being thrown at Gargano as metaphor for Ciampa always being in his shadow is classic pro-wrestling storytelling.
****1/4
Sanity vs. Authors of Pain
V shocked by the result. Match was way better than I thought it would be. Alexander Wolfe was the real star here. Wondering if the Authors will move up, they'd be a good team to eventually put over Rollins and Ambrose to give the RAW tag division a good dominant team. Wonder if old ass Paul Ellering can handle the WWE touring schedule.
Popped hard for the reDragon debut. Looks like Sanity will just be transitional champs.
***1/2
Aleister Black vs. Hideo Itami
Feel bad for Hideo. Feels like he has never and maybe will never get a fair shake. It was obvious from the second Code Orange came out to play Black's theme who was going over. Could see Black fast-tracked to the main roster. Dunno what else they do with him since it seems pretty clear that Adam Cole will be McIntyre's first challenger. A program with Ohno would be pretty dope, I guess. Black def has "it" though I think "Aleister Black" is a lame ass name especially compared to Tommy End. Match was disappointing. Thought it'd be the runaway MOTN. Instead it was just pretty good.
Could see Itami brought up to feud with Neville. I don't know what else you do with him in NXT at this point.
***
Asuka vs. Ember Moon
Very happy Asuka retained. Ember is a good wrestler but I don't like her character (inconsistent, she's a demonic werewolf and an "aww shucks" sympathetic babyface at the same time - pick one or the other), nor do I feel she's been built up well enough to be the one to end Asuka's winning streak. Also - just the right call given the way the crowd would have received a Moon victory. If she won she would have been booed out of Barclays. Instead she put on a hell of a match and got a standing ovation, "earning the crowd's respect." A win here would have made her a divisive champ which would't do her justice if they want to push her as a top face. Great match.
****
Bobby Roode vs. Drew McIntyre
Boring as fuck "WWE main event" style match that everyone basically knew would suck. Right guy won. Roode is just boring in the ring and would probably be in an Eric Young-esque role if he didn't luck into having that theme song that basically forced them to push him. I'd imagine that he's done in NXT and will be good midcard heel fodder for Smackdown. They may as well have him take Mike Kanallis' spot and ship him out.
Crowd went nuts for Adam Cole. I fucking hate Adam Cole and think he's the most overrated guy on the indies so I wasn't too psyched. Dude is just a bootleg redneck Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho who tries to do the Kevin Owens/Young Bucks comedy spots but just comes off as tired. Whole fucking gimmick is aping Chris Jericho's "COME ON BAY-BAY" every seven seconds.
*1/2
Great show overall, but no real "classic" match like the last two takeover Brooklyns.

Fair enough. Maybe they came across better on TV.
Did you think Asuka/Moon was a MOTYC? I have it at **** which is very good. Anything above that and you're talking one of the best matches of the year.
I thought Black vs. Itami was good, but the outcome was obvious and it was really short. If they went another 5-7 minutes it could have been ****+

Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Johnny Gargano - 4.5 out of 5
Sanity vs. Authors of Pain - 4 out of 5
Aleister Black vs. Hideo Itami - 3 out of 5
Asuka vs. Ember Moon - 4.5 out of 5
Bobby Roode vs. Drew McIntyre - 3.5 out of 5
Overall it was better than Summerslam as far as match quality and I love the 2 hour length. I think my favorite match was the tag match even though I didn't rate it as highly. I just love watching Sanity work as a tweener/face team..especially Nikki.

It def feels like the whole show came across better on TV.
I was also at it live and def felt like it was really good but like probably the "worst" TakeOver so far because of the standard they set. Remember feeling "blown away" at the show live last year and didn't really feel that way this year. None of the matches seemed amazing to me really other than the women's match, which was my fav match of the night. But every1 on the internet was raving about the show, so that's cool.
I skimmed through some of it on WWE Network after and it seemed really great... like Mauro made things seem big and exciting. Crowd sounded so hot on "TV" also.

Asuka-Moon was definitely a candidate and Black-Itami was a tad bit short. But aren't all Black matches short?

I've seen him work longer matches on the indies. I guess he mainly has wrestled squash matches in NXT.
This one didn't come close to his matches at last year's Battle of Los Angeles (vs. Sabre Jr. and with Chris Hero vs. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) or his match with Chris Hero at Don't Sweat the Technique. Of course, PWG matches are gonna be way different than a WWE style match but yeah.
I saw him work a crazy good match vs. Matt Riddle last year at EVOLVE's Summerslam weekend show.

I may have had more fun this year because my seats were way better but last year had DIY vs. Revival which was an obvious instant classic.
Year one I was blown away and had amazing seats for Bayley vs. Sasha Banks. Everyone was legit crying at the end.

That is true. If I were to nitpick, I didn't find the kicks to be that compelling on television. I guess it is tough to throw worked kicks when you're that tall.

Too bad they didn't put Roderick Strong in Adam Cole's stable. He fits right in with Cole and redDRagon. And needs something to do. No he's not the most charismatic but if you give him something to do there is some personality there that can shine. Not to mention he's probably the best wrestler on the roster. Gotta have something more than that though or he's gonna sink.
There's still time to do that.

Just watched this...... another good show from NXT. Match of the night for me was the women's match....... I wish it went on after Bobby Roode/Drew McIntyre....... but I guess they wanted the Adam Cole thing to end the show.....
One of those Bobby Fish/Kyle O'Reilly dudes just looks so generic, while the other is also pretty funny looking. Hopefully they turn out to be better than TM61......
I saw Adam Cole once, and thought he was pretty bad...... That was a few years ago, though, so hopefully he "got better"...........

Kyle O'Reilley is the generic one. Probably my least favorite wrestler but he's fine teaming with Fish. ROH tried to give him a main event push to keep him and they really shouldn't have but the same could be said for Cole last reign as well. Dude has put on alot of muscle though and looks alot better than he did. I'm torn about Adam Cole though, big fan of his in ROH and he always seem like he belonged no matter where he was on the card. I think he'll do fine in NXT as the crowds are similar to ROH crowds and will probably enjoy story time with Adam Cole bay bay just as much. Have no clue how he'll do on the main roster as he's not the biggest guy but Vince seems to a fan of his so we'll see. Imagine he'll be in NCmXT for a bit though.

Agree, Strong is perfect as a face and was Mr. ROH. If they can somehow get him over with the NXT crowd he could easily become Mr. NXT as I don't see much of a future with him on the main roster. Can have good matches and is more of a Sami Zayn type in my opinion.
