Glorious although having a long match with the singer guy isn't ideal I'm glad Roode is on Smackdown. Benjamin returning is cool as well but I'd rather see him as a singles gut than teaming with Gable who should also be a single guy. Like that Mahal is receiving a push like he is but its getting repetitive and boring. Nakamura didn't come to WWE to wrestle Mahal and its a waste of his talents. Also hate how they push the US title as the main event although the people involved kind of warrants it.

Yeah that works but not when the world title storyline is playing out in the middle of the show most weeks. It's at least understandable for Raw where they draw the biggest rating in the 2nd hour and Lesnar is champ not there on most weeks but with Mahal and Smackdown it really doesn't have that same effect to me. More like that's where he should really be on the card as more of a mid card champ( US Title would play great into the character) while the guys in that are main eventing with the US title should really be fighting over the WWE championship.

I'm pretty much the same as you. I don't get the love for him, but I do love me some Curtis Axel.

I don't watch NXT so SmackDown was my introduction to "WWE Bobby Roode" and he struck me as being a hybrid of Rick Rude and Mr. Perfect.

His theme also sounds very "Queen-ish". Which is good I guess, because I like Queen.

Have a feeling he's just a transitionary champ, and is going to be moved up soon. Then you've got Cole, Black, Gargano, Dijak when he comes in....even Almas and Itami are showing signs of their old selves, and getting a good handle on their characters.

Was impressed by Drew when he went to TNA and was shocked at how big he looked as I didn't remember him being that big. Was always tall but he put on alot of muscle once he left WWE. Feel like he really enjoyed the freedom he got in TNA and would probably still be there if Corgan got control. Also got to work the independent scene a bit and got to really liking the atmosphere of a small arena. NXT fits perfectly into that area and I imagine he's more comfortable there than he would on the main roster again. He'll probably end up on the main roster though eventually. Have no problem with him bei g NXT Champion although the difference in size between him and Adam Cole will be hilarious.

Roode pretty much wrestles the style WWE loves for main events which is why his title reign in NXT had more of a classic WWF/NWA feel with slower paced matches. Ends up sticking out in a bad way but not Jinder or Triple H (vs Reigns, Mania 32) levels of bad because modern WWE is a lot more faster paced now.

Probably the best person to have face Jinder since Jinder's matches these day tend to be a lot slower and/or drawn out than someone like Styles or Cena.

Would be great if Dolph Ziggler just started copying all popular gimmicks/things and combining them into one.

Roode works the perfect WWE style and I like his character in general. His matches as a heel are slow builds and it does work in that way when against an athletic face who can turn it on.

What Roode makes up for in excitement is a better ability to tell a story in the ring than a lot of guys.
