Should feel like this should be a few more years before this happens. Kinda fell like Taker should retire and be the one to headline next year. Also, how long before The Rock finally goes in?

That's really odd. Like Owen said, should probably be a few more years.

Surprised WWE isn't waiting until GOTG Vol 3 so they can leech off his media attention.

Avengers 3 will be out in May 2018 and the GOTG are in it ^^

Seems way too soon for Batista to go in, but it's the WWE, so I'm not gonna get upset about it.

Am I upset? Nope, like the guy. Am I surprised? Fuck yes.

If this means no more Batista returns I'm all for it.

They'll be out of main eventers soon enough.

Also, everyone of note goes in. It's meaningless.

Edge went in to the HoF, like 5 min after he retired.

Meh. You get 1 last promo basically. It's meaningless but fun.

I hope he says in his speech "I would have won the belt here a few years ago if it weren't for that pesky Daniel Bryan"

Big Vic
08-31-2017, 01:04 PM
"I was gonna get that belt, and I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for this meddling Daniel Bryan"

Daniel: "Dooobie doobie Dooooo"

If you take the time to spellcheck your posts on here or fbook frankly I assume you lead a very unporductive life

... Is Taker retired or not?!? lol

That still being in question is the only way Batista going in before him makes sense.

Big Vic

I think Titus Worldwide will sign him and convince him to wrestle again.

Wonder if he would accept the invitation, at least the first time, considering he's been very vocal against the WWE since his last run and hates some important people there.

Big Vic

Ehh not sure he HATES them, at least not enough to not accept the bid.

They may as well put everyone in the HoF then

Why do they out so many people in every year, surely 4 living individuals and a legacy person would be enough?

I agree, I feel they add too many people every year and it diminishes the value.

Now they're doing token anual women inductions as well. Even though there are only...maybe 6 worthy female canidates...

(15-20 years that will change)

Can't believe they haven't inducted Martin Luther King Jr in the WWE HOF yet

My biggest problem is the "legacy" wing.

"These guys aren't marketable to our current audience, so let's just lumb them all together in a 10 second induction instead of giving them the respect thy deserve, because this is all just a sales gimmick anyway."

According to WrestleTalk, WWE are ready to give Rock or Undertaker the headline spot over Batista if they ask for it.

Been like that for years with Taker going back to the HBK series I think. Came close to happening with Mania 32 since it was near his hometown but Taker decided to wrestle instead so it got saved for a future year.

Of the short list of retired guys who could be legit HOF headliners (Henry, UT, Rocky, JBL??) Big Dave makes as much sense as anybody.

Rock and Taker definitely make more sense than him.

Rock might have another match in him, and so might Taker. Taker is also a super Kayfabe guy who might not want it, at least not yet. If you need a big name, and a guy who isn't coming back, Big Dave makes sense, especially since he is becoming a legit star

If he's willing to come back for the HOF, he'd probably be down to come back for another match. In fact, I think he probably will. At the very least it's as likely, if not more likely, as Rock or Taker coming back for another match.

He's been openly critical of wwe since he left. Something must have changed if this is the case, but I don't see it. He was particularly pissed off at the Titus O'neil suspension if I recall correctly.

In a side note, I think its crazy and super cool that he is a legit big name actor now... he's the last guy I would think would be in major movies. But he's been great. He was hilarious as fuck in Guardians 2.

I don't have a problem with Batista going in, but the timing seems weird. Really feels like it is The Undertaker's spot. Maybe Taker wants to take more time to let his retirement sink in or whatever? Eh, I guess Batista is probably comfortable with his film career that he feels like he will never have to wrestle full-time again.

Lock Jaw
09-01-2017, 10:34 PM
Timing seems right for Batista since playing Drax will probably be the "peak" of his Hollywood career/public image. So put him in now and capitalize on the publicity. Don't wait until people don't care about him anymore.
