odd desperate move but hey....hopefully they will honor the brand.
I wonder if Charlotte will follow in Ric's footsteps and bleed uncontrollably + have her tights pulled down, exposing her )) while attempting to climb out of the cage.

It would be cool if they started the show with a great cruiserweight match. Wonder if La Parka still works.

They should buy TNA and do an inva.......nevermind. Bound 4 Glory does not have the same ring to it as STARCADE! Bound 4 Glory sounds like the name of a middle school gym show.

It's a house show. No word on if it will even be on the Network at all as they've been rumoured to dip into the nostalgia bucket to try and increase house show revenue for quite a while.

I love it when they stream house shows on the network...i dunno...i like the vibe and smaller set up. Feels fresh.
I would hope they would do it bigger for that. That card is kinda of weak, but Maybe its nostalgia for WCW that ,akes feel that way.

Seems a bit dumb to use the Starcade name solely for a house show event but then again, The Beast in the East was also just a house show later made into a bigger deal because of the Network.
If WWE was smarter, they would have used the name as a regular PPV tier event and have it as the big show to end the year and/or add an extra month for Road to Mania stuff.

They've already got about 16 or 17 actual PPVs though. They know what they're doing to go to Greensboro and use a WCW PPV name, bring in the hometown Hardy's and add WCW and NWA legends on the advert with Ricky Steamboat and the Rock N Roll Express.
It'll use the cheaper house show set, likely sell out which Live events having been doing (even MSG) and provide content for the Network. Not a bad move all round.

They need to fuck off with this 1 a month ppv shit, it totally dilutes the whole point of a ppv being a special event that there's a few months of build up to. Back when there was just 4 they felt more special, now with 3 hours of raw, 2 of smackdown and all the other shit they have going on with the network its just total overload.
PPv's aren't anything special anymore, just a glorified raw with a vaguely different set.
It's the same set though ^

I used to love tunning into Sunday night heat to see the reveal of the PPV set that night.
Do they still have PPV arenas in the video games?

Yeah the decision itself is very smart since its in a former major WCW market. Just personally feels a bit weird they are finally using the Starcade name and turns out its for a house show tier event.
Then again this could also be the start of them having Starcade as a big annual event for the Network sort of like how NXT Takeover shows are.
I hope they air it as a netowrk special...
It doesnt make sense if they dont

I've always thought they should bring back Starrcade as a December PPV that could have some cache attached to it. I would have liked it if they ran it as a fan service end of year show, which seems, kind of, to be what that is for the SmackDown side.

Cody reacted on Twitter by saying, “Dear @MichaelPSHayes1 If you’re afraid an event won’t sell cuz’ the holiday and want one of my Dad’s events…at least book Goldy..”
Hayes responded by saying, “So Cody, UR right we should have Goldy on the show, by the way, what R U doing that night??? Wanna team with UR Brother?”
hmm
odds he doesnt know Cody is the ROH Champion?

Probably because it feels more like an actual event that matters when there's not a Lite-Brite for a stage in the background and a Lite-Brite for the ring skirt.

And if they used that set more often, maybe we could have pyro....

Yeah buts its vaguely different with the colour scheme etc, i think only Wrestlemania gets its own set but even that has became mostly standardised in terms of how the stage looks at least. They just add different objects to it sometimes.

Brooklyn was hot.
