Looks good.
I wouldn't mind watching that but I'll most likely have to wait for it to appear somewhere online.
I really doubt it'll be shown on TV over here.

Mostly because we don't get HBO, but I also doubt any channel over here would want to pick it up anyway.
Excited for this. I'll be watching as soon as it's up on HBO now.

You don't have HBO in Scotland? Holy shit, even a shithole like Poland has it.

All the HBO stuff gets shown on Sky Atlantic, for example Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire.
They tend to show all the HBO documentaries too cos I watch them on demand.

Yeah, I've just this second discovered that Sky Atlantic shows HBO stuff.
I would say that there could be a chance for me to watch it after all but my cable provider doesn't provide Sky Atlantic.

Looks great. Better than any actual wrestling product that WWE or anyone else has put out in the last 12+ years. As a result, I'm excited and I'd actually pay more than $12 to watch that. HBO wrestling > WWE wrestling

Yet they're still bound to peddle the "Andre was 7 feet 4" wwe mantra. I'd seriously doubt Andre was ever anything over 6 feet 10 absolute tops, he just looked bigger than he was due to the way the disease affected his features and limbs, huge head, huge hands, huge torso but actually pretty short legs if you compare them in proportion to the rest of him.

Fascinating man from history. I wonder if/how WWE interacts with HBO on this matter?

Just finished watching the documentary and it was really great overall.
 at the fart stories involving Andre.
Kind of depressing to know Andre's giant condition was actually very treatable at the time and he could have had a better life in his later years if he retired a lot earlier. Instead he picked entertaining the fans over his own well being and paid for it big time in the end.

I don't know if I even found out "that much" new about Andre, but it was nice seeing a wrestling doc that isn't WWE produced therefore is actually good.

Downloaded and watched it last night. It was really good, there wasn't much I didn't already know, but if I wasn't into wrestling it would've been really cool.

Ya, pretty much. And it looks like he's been through some stuff lately.

Weird part in the middle where they focused completely on Hogan for a bit. Like, I know Hogan is integral to Andre's story, but at one point I was thinking "Can we go back to talking about Andre anytime soon?"

I was amazed to hear Vince say Andre was "billed" at 7'4" but he wasn't sure of his actual height.

I liked it, the only thing I kinda... groaned (if that's the right word) at, was when they kinda talked about him beating the crap out of people he didn't like in the ring. They're saying "he would batter them, throw them all over the place, it was scary" .... and it shows him doing basic body slams and overhand chops to the chest. I get that they did it to add more of a mystique to the character of Andre, but it just seemed kinda meh to me

Regardless of the footage they showed, they weren't lying. Well documented that if Andre didn't like you, you were in for a rough night.

Andre the Giant was a legendary wrestler, but in good faith, I cannot say that he was a good human being. When he used to stay in hotels when visiting various cities for wrestling shows, if he was dissatisfied with the service in any way, he would apparently go to the bathroom on the bed sheets (not to produce urine), and would then wipe his lower extremities with the curtain sheets. In a lot of ways, Andre the Giant had some serious mental problems in my opinion. Dave Meltzer and Percy Pringle have also commented on this.

So in your opinion, if a hotel inadvertently provides less than 5 star service to accommodate the needs of a 7 foot+ 500+ lb man, it’s ok for said individual to take giant poos on the bed and then wipe his feces on the drapes? Is this acceptable behavior that we as a civilized society should tolerate? Am I reading this right? With respect, I think there is something seriously wrong with your brain if you don’t find fault with Andre’s behavior.

He is a visionary of customer feedback. Most people would just complain about the service, and those responsible would be reprimanded or even fired.
Andre looks out for the little guy, even when they displease him. By defecating in the room, he teaches them an important lesson about customer service, without anyone having to lose their job and go without.
He was truly a great man.

What the hell did I just read?! You have to be joking. You just have to be. There’s no way that you’re being serious here.

I bet Andre took some big shits to. To be fair though sitting on a regular toilet was probably rough and the bed was alot more comfortable. Everyone should be comfortable when they poop.

According to Post Wrestling, this was HBO's most viewed documentary in the past 15 years. Had around 930k viewers for the premiere and another 275k for its replay.

As far as Andre was concerned it was the world tag team title he won.
