So, Roman assaults three highly trained federal officers, but "can't defend himself" against Brock? Also, oddly, those marshals looked like they should be a stable since WWE loves trios so much (odd, considering how they're like the one company who never bothered with any sort of trio championship, but they have repeatedly cropped the stable formula down from 4 or 5 to a hard 3 in most cases, the only exemption seeming to be Sanity)... the two bald guys are a tag team, and the one with hair is the mouthpiece/singles guy. In fact, I just figured it out: they aren't United States Marshals, they are "US, Marshals", as in three brothers/family members with the surname Marshal. Kinda like the Hart Foundation. Expect to see big things from them in about 4 years when this angle is long forgotten about.

Brock running back to the ring was oddly hilarious: he was some orange shorts away from Baywatch.

The problems, though were exactly how slowly they were being re-introduced (and that he kinda did most of it online on his own, since WWE couldn't be assed to fit it in somewhere on their 3+ hours of programming on Monday nights), and getting too hung up on the overexaggeration on the laughing past the point of "okay, it's fucking annoying now" every time. It didn't help introduce anyone who didn't know about it already... that was still essentially word of mouth.

Yeah, I think having an engaging storyline/feud behind it would help a bunch. The absurdity of it can carry it a ways (with a decent chunk of people) but won't maintain it for long. The original ones had the strong Matt vs Jeff storyline that led up to the gimmick and the first big segment, their feud with Decay had some wheels, and then there was Apocalypto which was just kind of a thing done to do more and wasn't great--although major props for it being literally an entire episode of Impact.

That's the oddest thing about NXT: they do /have done things there that WWE main roster *used* to do all the time in terms of booking and character development and presentation. But now, the fans who watch that are "mutants" and "in the minority" and "IWC" and so forth. It's almost as if the company themselves have forgotten about what got them to where they are now.

Yeah, I think having an engaging storyline/feud behind it would help a bunch. The absurdity of it can carry it a ways (with a decent chunk of people) but won't maintain it for long. The original ones had the strong Matt vs Jeff storyline that led up to the gimmick and the first big segment, their feud with Decay had some wheels, and then there was Apocalypto which was just kind of a thing done to do more and wasn't great--although major props for it being literally an entire episode of Impact.

What makes it better was the context of the fact that TNA literally wasn't doing shit at the time, and Big Money Matt essentially produced and bankrolled an episode of iMPACT to help buy the company more time and exposure.

I think they need to advertise it as Cena Vs Kane at Wrestlemania, but still keep it in the back of people's minds that Undertakers might show up.
Then at Wrestlemania Cena enters first and they make them wait for Kanes music and then boom, Undertaker comes out. The pop will be massive , don't blow the money shot on An episode of Raw.

I'm going to admit while i felt kind of embarrassed watching that train wreck, i couldn't take my eyes off it. it felt like WCW 1992/1993 with those Sting vignettes. it was different and a break from the same old crap i watch every week at least. Jeff Hardy showing up was pretty hillarious. and who is Senor Benjamin? is that his dad?

If this is the end of Bray, i am kind of glad he's out of the picture. He was so stale the past year or two and just seemed lost in the shuffle. It's too bad because the character was amazing, but i think the writers just could never make up their minds on him. I felt like every big feud ended with him being defeated and then he'd come back and cut a bunch of promos on how he's a god and then he's lose again. After a while you can't take the guy seriously. However, he's a guy that could come back in 6 months and make it work again with a little tweak in character. so we'll see.

As for Cena/Taker, with the road they've chosen here, I'd almost rather see the visual of Cena sitting in like the 8th row eating popcorn & drinking a brew when all of a sudden, Taker appears. No entrance no nothing. He then grabs Cena's throat, beer & popcorn go flying, and forces him into the ring and there's the match.

The ultimate deletion match was very hokey, to say the least, but thought the presentation was better than the Wyatt/Orton thingy from last year. I really hate the cinematography style presentation of a match when wrestling is not normally presented in such a manner. It takes away from believing in what you are seeing.
