View Full Version : How I think WWE should have booked Bliss/ Jax bullying angle

I felt they did everything right up until WM34. What i think they should have done was do a double turn. Have Jax win the belt, but after the match, have her continue to beat Bliss up badly and go to far with it. Maybe even have Bliss stretchered out.

Next night on RAW you have Jax come out and celebrate the win. Have her give a speech about the bullying and stuff and then have her go overboard and start verbally bullying Bliss. Have Bliss come out and get into the ring and have Jax verbally make fun of her and then start to beat her down again. Just have her go overboard with it as if she doesnt realize she's being the bully now. Have some other girls come out from the back and help Bliss and plead with Jax to stop and yell at her. Then have Jax just leave the ring and have Bliss stretchered out again.

Basically have the bully get bullied so bad that you feel sympathetic for her and start to hate Jax. And have Jax just say fuck it and embrace the bully role because she believes she should be able to bully now, seeing as how she was always bullied. Have her act entitled to the bullying role because of what she was put through.

And have Bliss become the one being badly bullied because she's small and Jax is fucking huge. It makes sense for both. And give Bliss the belt back within a couple months.

1) You make Jax a hated monster
2) You keep Bliss in the chase for the belt, because she's money
3) You get Nia over as the monster heel which will be great for a future Ronda vs Nia match.
4) You avoid the problem of Nia realistically not losing the belt to this super small Alexa Bliss. You turn them both and work the angle where Nia becomes the bully of the womans roster and people start rallying around Bliss to help her win the belt back from Nia. Because honestly, she should never win it straight up.

Instead, you're really just getting two matches out of these two until this Alexa bullying Nia thing becomes stale as fuck. It actually got stale before the match tonight. It would have been a lot fresher if the double turn happened at WM and Jax assumed the role as the bully and Bliss was the bullied. It would have been far more interesting and could have kept this whole bullying deal more interesting for a longer term.

Also, Nia Jax should always be shown eating.

A women's eating contest wouldn't be the dumbest thing WWE's ever done.

I agree. Just like George The Animal Steele.

That would have been a great wrestling angle.

Too bad WWE isn't a wrestling promotion.

Too bad WWE isn't a wrestling promotion.

Aye they're a "sports entertainment" promotion, funny thing is Vince has never managed to distinguish the differences between the 2.

It's the same thing. It's all sports entertainment.

lol tell Vince that, on Austins podcast he talked about wrestling as being "what his dad did" and he does sports entertainment. I'd love to hear what he considers to be the big differences between the 2, there quite clearly are none, its simply down to the fact Vince hates the word "wrestling" or anything associated with it.

I'm sure this idea would have worked, but I have no desire to see Alexa Bliss as a face as she is so good at being "the bitch." She should have been on the move to Smackdown and put in a program with Charlotte to buy a few months of a feud on Smackdown until the inevitable Charlotte/Ronda next year.

Bliss-Flair would've been cool. They teased it on that episode of RAW in which Flair told Bliss the only reason she's champ b/c she's on SmackDown.

It's not about sports entertainment vs pro wrestling.

That angle would be something a pro wrestling promotion would go for in a heartbeat. WWE is not a wrestling promotion. They are a publically traded, multimedia empire. When given the option, they will almost always go for something that is far less entertaining, but safer and more pleasing to their investors and sponsors.

But how is what they are doing now with Bliss and Jax any more safer and more pleasing than the angle i think they should have done?

Because it would have gotten heat on Nia Jax and told are compelling and organic story. The goal of Vince McMahon's sports entertainment is to produce content that doesn't inflame the senses. Nia Jax is being produced to be an anti-bullying figure. By compromising that, you lose that PR.

Finn Balor is not going to turn heel while he's wearing the rainbow; Nia Jax isn't going to talk shit or beat up anybody outside the ring while she's being a champion of fat girls; John Cena is not going to cut a promo pointing out that dead kids can't buy merch. This is the circus and people expect certain things out of it.

vilifying someone who was getting bullied would likely be seen as risky by the sponsors. What they actually did is much safer from a PR standpoint.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying that this is how things should be, or that I'm happy with it. Just that this is how these companies think.

Also, I have no idea why the video title is in Arabic or why the video has so many jump cuts, but you get the point.

I like how Nias gimmick is don't bully, but then she goes on social media bullying "trolls". Calling somebody a troll and saying they don't know anything while laughing at them, straight bullying.

Also, in order to put Nia over, they had Asuka challenge Charlotte instead of Bkiss, who broke the streak just to put Carmella over.

And Vince still has it though right?

Exactly. It's the irony that she doesn't know how to play a goddamn nice person.
