Have you guys ever seen this list? Dave Meltzer compiled it in 2008 based on wrestlers headlining cards with an attendance of 10K or more. Some people are surprising (especially given the positioning). I imagine that Meltzer might have to update it one day but it's interesting to look at.

Bob Backlund? Really?

And who the fuck is Argentina Rocca?

Rocca was the biggest star in the territory before Bruno.

Bob Backlund was a HIGHLY under-rated draw. Although a lot of his Main Events at MSG had Andre The Giant on the undercard.

Sammartino too. The undercard was usually studded though he was usually the main one advertised.

It was. That's why I said I can imagine him updating some day

They kept Sammartino away from Backlund more often than not. Sammartino headlined a ton of Boston Garden shows. Backlund didn't wrestle there very often until Bruno retired. You'd definitely see though Andre against guys like Blackjack Mulligan as the semi-main when Backlund defended the title.

Miguel Perez LOLZ

You might be thinking of his son who was one of the Conquistadores but Miguel Sr. was one half of the top drawing tag teams in wrestling (esp. WWE) history along w/ Antonino Rocca.

Miguel Jr was part of Los Boricuas. The Conquistadors were Jose Estrada and Jose Luis Rivera.

How do you define draw, just live event ticket sales?

To me it is everything, ratings, PPV buys, etc. Nobody can touch Stone Cold and The Rock there, and Rock only catches up to Austin thanks to his last run.

Yeah, well, the name ARGENTINA Rocca made me think it was a lady.

I believe Dave 's basis involved how many times they drew more than 10,000 in Main Events. 1 point for 10,000, 2 for 20,000 and 3 for 30,000

HHH at 5?

When you bang the boss' daughter, you get countless opportunities to headline cards you have no business headlining. It's no certain indicator you actually drew those people in.
