According to Dana White Lesnar did actually enter the testing pool sometime last week, so he would be eligible to fight in December apparently.

It really has. They are doing what WWE used to do. End of their event last night was more compelling than anything WWE do storywise.

It's ridiculous that it has gotten to this stage but , but here we are.

I wonder what the wrestlers backstage feel like. Brock Lesnar hasnt stepped foot in a WWE ring in like 4 months but he can step foot in a UFC octagon to accept a challenge for a fight. That must boost morale.

Don't get how it make WWE looks stupid or irrelevant. This is great, and I hope he is still Universal Champion by the time of the fight. I don't even think DC stands a chance.

You can’t count Brock out... ever. He’s just too big and strong for that not to be a viable variable in a fight. I will say that due to the height difference and since Brock is a weak standup striker that DC could scoop a takedown and if he does he could finish him just like Carwin did, imagine that he got him with a choke though... I would love that.

DC is a better fighter, but he faces the same issue against Brock as everybody. Brock is stronger, and his wrestling mat skills make it hard to take him down.

Brock is also a tough S.O.B. He can absorb some monster shots without getting knocked out. Opposite of a glass jaw on that guy.

Add that DC is fighting up a weight class, if Lesnar gets a takedown DC doesn't escape, just has to try and survive.

To beat Brock you have to catch him with a few big shots in a row. DC is certainly capable of that, it's just a matter of doing it without getting taken down.

Ol Dirty Dastard

Carwin didn't finish Brock though. He whooped his ass in the first round but couldn't finish it. After the first round was over and Carwin didn't finish it, he was blown up almost as bad as Punk was.

Brock took him right down in the 2nd round and tapped Carwin out with an arm triangle choke.

Carwin is about 1/100th of the fighter that D.C. is. And that's being generous.

I'm not quite that sure, for the reasons I said above, I think it's more like 95% that DC wins. Lesnar is too big, strong, and fast to say he has no chance though.

5% chance of freak injuries or Brock landing a donkey kong punch is what I was accounting for. If it plays out like a regular fight, and D.C. is even at 45-50% capacity, he takes the fight.

Baring a lucky punch, best I can see for Lesnar is him going the distance and pulling off a win via judge's decision. What really hurts Lesnar is the length since his last fight and Cormier competing in 4 fights with 3 wins during that time.

Lesnar's last fight went to a decision but also had the roids controversy surrounding his win.

I wonder what the wrestlers backstage feel like. Brock Lesnar hasnt stepped foot in a WWE ring in like 4 months but he can step foot in a UFC octagon to accept a challenge for a fight. That must boost morale.
If anything, they should be more upset at Vince since he caused the mess with the Universal title to happen from his constant flip-flopping of plans.

Wouldn't be surprised if some actually did feel petty because of their egos like Cena with Rock in films or Graves with Punk in MMA of Lesnar getting big opportunities outside of wrestling.

Yeah, I'm feeling Brock has more like a 33% chance to win, at the least. I don't know how many of you watched the event last night but DC appeared to get very lucky. The shot that sent Miocic down wouldn't make Brock flinch. I honestly don't know how it put him down, I mean it landed flush but DCs arm was completely bent and he was swinging from an awkward angle with no extension.

Before that moment DC was for the most part getting popped over and over again. He landed some shots too, mind you. But the biggest tell was that Miocic, who has very little if any ground game, avoided the takedown attempt from DC and turned the tables and took DC down instead and even had his back for a split second and seemed like he didn't know what to do. Lesnar would have known that spot and would have choked DC out QUICKLY.

Also DC looked really flabby and seemed like he was already in the early stages of getting gassed. Not good in a 5 round fight. Although Brock blows up easy too, so that's probably a wash there.

Stipe has a strong wrestling pedigree and is an elite striker. And you'll find many of the all time great fighters have been "losing fights" until they weren't.

I don't even like Cormier but I've seen Brock against other wrestlers, and the results aren't pretty.

UFC is pretty fixed. If you think Dana White wants Lesnar to win and then go back to the WWE, you're nuts. The best case scenario is Crom winning. And Lesnar collects a huge pay day. It's not like Brock is protecting a major legacy in UFC. This is a money grab on both ends. And the people who lose are the ones that buy this PPV.

I'm not saying it's completely fixed, but when it gets this big and they start running promo's in octagon out there. It's fixed. The only way everyone wins, is if Lesnar loses. And he's going to get a monster payday for it. I guarantee you he gets at least 5 million for this fight. I promise you that.

Oh for sure, and so was that setup with Brock and DC after the bout. That was an angle 100%. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we found out they had Heyman write that angle lol.

I do not follow MMA much, more of a casual fan, but Lesnar has to be in UFC's top 3 of biggest draws in their history. Basing on the buzz created, probably only McGregor and Rousey are bigger draws.

Even Randy Coutore and Chuck Liddell had their best runs before UFC got wildly popular. Same for guys like Rampage Jackson and Tito Ortiz.
