Besides Mistico being a dumbass with how he handled things, WWE was stupid to keep using the special mood lighting for his matches considering the design of his mask at the time. Gimmick was pretty much doomed from the start because of it.

Hunico has done a decent job at salvaging something out of the gimmick even though WWE no longer cares.

• I like the fact that I'm still able to be entertained by Team Hell No and I'm not bothered at all by Kane's referencing of NSYNC.

• I think we all saw the Styles/Nakamura match turning into a Tag-Team Match <s>Playa!</s>

• That Lumberjack Match was lame.

• I like <s>Hunico</s> Sin Cara, I really do but he's reached that point now where you just know he's doing the job whenever he's on TV.

The Sin Cara gimmick is doomed and has been doomed for years now and it really sucks that it's still going and that <s>Hunico</s> Sin Cara still has to work with it.

The best thing I can think of is for the gimmick to be scraped and for the return of Hunico to happen and now is the best time for that. Have Sin Cara and Almas have a match with Sin Cara's mask and Almas' career (or SmackDown contract) both be on the line. In the end, Almas wins by cheating and Sin Cara loses his mask but is left feeling really pissed off and he takes his anger out on a face backstage (Tye Dillinger or someone like that), turning him heel by doing so and returning to the use of the Hunico name.

If something like that doesn't happen (and let's be honest, it most likely won't), then I fully expect Sin Cara to be released within the next two years, the end of 2020.

• The ending just left me curious as to when the last time was we saw pyro on Raw or SmackDown.

I know Sheamus has the spine problems, but he should really retire if he's not good to wrestle. I just don't think they have anywhere to fit them right now. When Hell No win the belts, I can see them getting a title shot.

Re Sin Cara: I like the guy too. Losing to Almas means nothing though. Do something with Rey Mysterio when you get him. It'd be a fine undercard match on PPV. The "Hunico" name has been degraded already though. Let him actually work in wrestling gear, lose the stereotype stuff, let him promo and announce him from El Paso. It won't be anything special, but there's no reason he can't be a solid mid-card guy. I'd take Los Aviadores with Hunico being a different masked gimmick alongside a masked Epico to Sin Cara at this point.

That being said, and my personal tastes aside, Sin Cara seems to somewhat get over when they actually push him. But he's just another cog in the machine, and you have to ask yourself whether it is worth pushing him over the other talent they have.

I'm not entirely sure Rusev is losing at Extreme Rules. Styles seems much more likely, but it's the WWE Title. They put it on Jinder Mahal. Rusev is also apparently helping Kane campaign. I can see SmackDown becoming the show designed to put over Kane's mayoral ambitions. Kane & Bryan as Tag Champs and Rusev as WWE Champion. It wouldn't surprise me if they brought back JR for commentary since he's also doing appearances on the trail for Kane. Okay, that last one is a stretch.

I suspect that they will go to Styles vs. Joe at SummerSlam, but if Rusev wins my jaw isn't going to hit the floor, and the justification will be there.
