Coven was fucking great. I do not get the reputation it has at all. It's the only truly funny season of AHS and it's the best use of Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates and Angela Basset you'll see outside of hollywood movies.

Jessica Lange was great too but I think Freakshow or Asylum is her finest work in the series. It's not like she can do any wrong at this stage, AHS is the Jessica Lange show.

From what I've heard from some insiders, the big horror influences this season on AHS are:


V (The 1980's miniseries)
The Omen
Suspiria
War of the Worlds


If they are correct, this will be a interesting mix!
