I only kept watching Iron First because of the cute lass that plays Colleen, but I'll give it another go.

Liked the first season, but really hated the fight scenes (too many angle cuts to compensate for shitty fight choreography).

I thought the season was pretty okay.
Of course, I ended up really only giving a shit about The Punisher.
I like to imagine that The Punisher is a real guy and his super hero friends are all delusional psychotics.
God, that'd make a great comic book.

Can tell you right now this murders last season. Not DD or JJ season 1 levels, but much better.

Season 2 was significantly better that the first. I think it also benefits from having 10 episodes, rather than 13; less flab.

Finally finished Ozark so ive started this. Def shows that the criticism was heard loud and clear. Season should be very good.

My only issue now is while the action choreography is improved, I'm not so sure going the Old Boy direction was right. We already got that with DD and Iron Fist is explicitly a kung fu situation. While I'm not saying it should go full wu xia, some grounding of flashier kung foolery would fit better. I wanted the direction of season 1 simply paced and filmed better (essentially the China episode... all the time).
But it's cool, I guess I can live with this.

I'm only two episodes in thus far. Eh. I'm feeling it more than season 1, at least... although that is a very, very low bar. That's a plus side about having low expectations; it can only (theoretically) go up from here.

a man being sexual exploited by someone in power is a bold move in 2018. Though the nefarious subplot undermines it its still appreciated to take hellcats arc in JJS2 and out a fresh spin on it.

2 in. REALLY liking it so far. Cage s2 and IF s2 both seem to have made big strides. JJ is the only one with a sophmore slump it would seem.

The season, for whatever reason, was uninspired and melodramatic to the point of exhaustion.
It wasnt BAD but it was flawed and a huge step back. Both for the sake of the drama of the show and its characters

Finished up a couple of days ago. Season 2 did an excellent job of taking me from "Eh... shit, I guess I have to watch it..." to actively wondering where season 3 is going to go.
I even tried to go back and watch season 1 with insight and context... and even with those, it was still ass.
My only problem with S2 is Mary. I don't even dislike the character. My issue with her has more to do with a nitpick with something that has become a trope of all the the shows in the Netflix MCU:
Shoehorned mental instabilities.
Again, it makes for an interesting character. Especially if they are going where it looks like they're going with her and it isn't some sort of Mandarin-like red herring. In her case it works for what's going on... Done well, it made Kingpin more than just generic rich crimeboss... but just about everyone has to have some detrimental mental illness or addiction or both. Punisher couldn't just have a psychotic break after his life was ripped away, no, it has to be PTSD specifically. To me, it feel like they're trying to run the gammut of "what disorder will our next person have?" before they whip out the medical journal to find some flaw for the next Daredevil baddie. Almost everyone is addicted to something... either metaporically or an actual chemical dependency, and that is sometimes on top of the mental disorder du juor.
It may not be intentional, but to me, it is starting to feel kinda cheap. Cheap under the guise of being "deep" or "insightful", but taking away from anything special.
That aside, this has really turned the tempo, the character, and the show as a whole around for me. The choreography and camerawork still isn't on par with the highest of high bars put in place by Daredevil, but it wasn't utter dogshit like season 1.

I think I may have stated elsewhere, but I feel it was the "luck" of it.
It was an issue I had with both Jessica Jonse S2 and Punisher; the truckloads of happenstance from different ends of the same spectrum.
For Jessica, there was a lot of stars lining up to shit on her with critical failure after critical failure. It was like, as kT put it, "trauma porn". Punisher, on the other hand, had far too many instances where unlikely strokes of good luck got Frank out of a jam more than any of his badass military training or ruthless instincts. He did all that he did in the first few minutes of the first episode to establish what he was doing with calculated precision, but then he goes on to be sloppy and reckless but okay because apparently he has a horsehoe up his ass.

Just binge watched season 2 over the past 2 days...... I really enjoyed it, and am now really disappointed in not getting a season 3.
I liked how Colleen felt like a "co-star" this season rather than a "member of the supporting cast".
Watching the last episode was pretty weird, considering they wrapped up the main conflict pretty early and then spent 30 minutes setting things up for the next season, which I knew watching it that it isn't happening.

1st season arc could have Colleen and Misty going after Luke. Luke trying to change the enemy from within but becoming the enemy in process. Colleen with he fist can hurt Luke now. Danny comes in late season and bring luke to his senses in time to face a real greater threat.
Season 2 you have Heroes for Hire ready to rock and roll out of the gate.
