Season 2 was a cash in. Didnt have a story to tell. I hope this is different

It's a decent season and I think unfairly viewed by people that expected more of the same. I enjoyed it a lot. It kick started the resurrection of Vince Vaughn.

It aimlessly meanders for 10 hours into a reveal that isnt rewarding. More of the same wasnt required, it just needed to be compelling.

Rick Springfield though
I actually liked season 2 but I know most people hated it.

i didn't watch season 2 as most people said it was terrible. so i just figured it's going to be one of those shows that I'll remember as a 10-12 episode movie and be done with it. i'll see what people say about this one
Season 2 was terrible. They guy as the lead for season 3 ( i cant remember his man ) is flat out amazing in just about everything he does.
Only good thing about Season 2 was Alexandra Daddario. Well, her tits.

they were nice
Just watched the first ep of the new season. Good opening credits, as always.
Mahershala Ali is already giving a great performance.
This feels like the first season. The whole first episode has such a sinister aura to it.
Annnnnd episode 2 is done and I am hooked. Woah.

That was in season one.
That was in season one.
Shit, really?
Then there was nothing good about Season 2.

It could have done without Taylor Kitsch and they should have cast someone more realistic than Rachel McAdams as a cop. She's supposed to be this assertive beauty in a physically demanding job but she just looks like some tiny housewife in some black combat gear.
Colin Farrel and Vince Vaughn were good though.
I have to disagree here.
Maybe Vaughn's acting was good, don't really remember, but whoever cast Vaughn as a scary criminal needs to be banned from Hollywood.
Think I'll rewatch season one.
Except that piratebay is down and my site for watching online changed and now you can't watch for free at all.

Probably not a Steve Zahler fan...
Stephen Dorff seems like he will be really good this season
Probably not a Steve Zahler fan...
whodat
Ep 3 was good, hints of time being a flat circle again...
This season is pervasively creepy thus far.
There's some bad things happening out in those Ozarks.
Dorff looks goofy as fuck in this.
He's fucking great so far
Five eps in and this is really good

Oh, I'm not denying that. Love Dorff.
Just looks goofy.
Not sure if on par with season 1 yet, but this season is so, so much better than the 2nd one.
This black guy is an amazing actor.
Episode six was just incredible. The acting this year is masterful. Some of the best I've seen on TV in a while.
Two eps left and things are starting to be figured out, and, of course it's something chilling.

This show is honestly the best ever. Fuck.
One of the best episodes of the series tonight. Wow.
Can't believe only one ep left.
I loved the finale. We found out all the answers to the Purcell case. The only thing I wished we found out (that we didn't) was:
What happened to Amelia? Is she dead?
Love these points on Twitter about the finale

The first time we see Roland he is thinking about shooting a fox, the finale ends with Roland being saved by a dog/becoming a dog person

Reddit has people saying that at some point it was mentioned Amelia died of cancer but I have no recollection of it so I dont know. She definitely was alive later in the timeline as she went back to teach at Arkansas where she graduated from.

How was the first season finale disappointing in any way whatsoever?
I'm curious because that was perfect TV by most people's standards.
Watching this from episode 1 now. I'll give you my drunk opinon.
the whole series or just season 3?
2 seasons through season 3
God Damn! Mahershala Ali and Steven Dorff are incredible. I expected it from Ali, but Doff is unexpectedly amazing. Dude has been really good and finally landed a role that will put him on the spotlight.
" can we say this Anonymous vandals? "
" We aint going with irate Negroes? "
ROFL
" That prison rape is a real go to you lately, something you want to tell me? "
ROFL
OMG WHEN THEY MEET BACK UP AS OLD MEN. This shit is so fucking good right now. Ali is expected to be amazing but Steven Dorff is knocking home runs right now.

S3 was a true master class in writing.
In my youth i worked in a dementia ward for a few years and this was very very authentic. The mystery and the narrritive and the acting this was outstanding in ways thats hard for me to put to words.
S2 was a great mistep but this season redeems it completely.
It's gonna get hard to get better than season 1.
I love Mahershala Ali. Stephen Dorff is terribly underated and amazing in season 3. But Season 1 knocked it our the fucking park.
