Anyone else watching MLW these days? it's up free on Youtube and they have tons of great talent, lots of LU/ROH/Impact guys.
Watching Battle Riot tonight while trying to catch up.

I was watching regularly but bien sports was dropped on Direct TV and I haven't found the time to look the full shows up on YouTube. Still catch a backstage segment or promo they'll post though.

I'm just watching the episodes with Penta to catch up. Lucha Bros vs. ACH & Rich Swann was nuts.
Now watching Lucha Bros vs. Drago and Horus. Which will be off the chain.

Is it just me that feels like the product/wrestlers get devalued a bit by being all over the place?
What makes MLW special if I can watch Penta on Lucha Underground or Impact the same week?

That doesn't bother me because I'd rather watch MLW than IMPACT or Lucha U.
I’m not watching either weekly at the minute so maybe I’ll take a look at MLW on your recommendation.

Only have seen the Battle Riot show from them but do really like that all their shows are on Youtube.
Probably going to watch more of their stuff once this season of Lucha Underground is done or WWE hits their slow period of the year.

I would say that if you only want to pick up one, LU is the way to go, but I know that you're across the pond and it's harder to get over there too.
There are streams. I’ve been catching up slowly.

I want them to do well and I like their presentation, but nothing has really hooked me yet. I liked Shane Strickland as a first champ, and Low Ki as current champ sounds good. But ti all sounds "getting there."

Is Tony Schiavone a full-time commentator for them or does he only do certain events? Because I've grown to love him and may base my watching on this alone.

So Low-Ki is their World Heavyweight Champion. Not a big fan of him. Also, I find it silly when little guys hold "Heavyweight" championships though I kinda accept it because in wrestling nowadays the "heavyweight" part is just there to make it sound more prestigious.
However, the secondary title is apparently called the "Middleweight Championship". Held by some guy named Maxwell J. Friedman. How fucking small is THAT guy!?

Is Tony Schiavone a full-time commentator for them or does he only do certain events? Because I've grown to love him and may base my watching on this alone.
He's commentated every episode I've seen. the color guy varies from time to time. Sometimes it's Matt Striker, which makes me happy.

He's bigger than Low Ki, MJF is like s shorter EC3. That's my biggest gripe on the promotion though, if you're going to have weight divisions then they should at least make sense.

MSL, who I imagine is heavily behind the show, is a big fan of weight classes in wrestling. He's a mark for boxing, WCW, Nash, Hall, big guys in wrestling, the look, etc. I used to listen to his podcast because he'd sometimes put a twist on something I had never thought of. I imagine the weight classes are his idea, but I think the theory is that Low Ki is so good he can hold the Heavyweight Title. If they could get Goldberg or something, lol, I'm sure they'd put the Heavyweight Title on him. He's just fighting out of his weight class, I imagine.

idk... was pouring blood from his ear but might have been a "blood packet" or something... he had his hand over his ear the whole time
The whole match was really "stiff" though and they were hitting each other really hard... Had a bunch of welts on their chests and stuff

Yeah Low Ki is a horrible choice as champion, especially a heaveyweight championship.

I'm surprised he hasn't managed to get himself run out of the company yet considering his bad rep.
Think every company he's worked for ends up kicking him out or releasing him because he starts to become really unbearable to be around with after a while.

MJF has a great gimmick and I enjoy his matches way more than any Low Ki match I've ever seen. He's not really small at all, just a normal sized wrestler.

Yeah, he can have some good matches but I just don't see him as a top guy for a company. He's a great mid card guy though but shouldn't be in the heaveyweight division.

It's a shame about Low Ki. He maybe has that feel of being around forever. But I've always like his style and thought he was actually really great in NXT.
Hearing the story about how he refused to stop working in a suit in New Japan because of Yakuza associations leading to them not using him kind of ruins my sympathy for him though, haha.

I haven't seen much of his Mexican work, but I fucking loved La Parka in WCW. He always entertained me.
