WWE is reportedly planning to make history at WrestleMania 35 in April with a main event between Raw women's champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown women's champion Becky Lynch.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Paul Davis of WrestlingNews.co), WWE chairman Vince McMahon made the decision to postpone Rousey against Lynch until WrestleMania when it was determined Lynch would be unable to compete at Survivor Series on Sunday due to a broken face and severe concussion.

If WWE goes through with Rousey vs. Lynch in the headline spot at WrestleMania, it will mark the first time a women's match has ever main-evented the biggest show in professional wrestling.

I've been thinking a similar thing.

This just opens up new potential for both Nia, Becky and even Ronda.

Nia can continue doing what she's doing with Tamina but she can carry the "I broke the Women's Champion's face" fact around with her which will make her (and in a way, Tamina too) come across as being more dangerous to the Women's Division.

Eventually, when Becky returns, we'll get Nia/Becky at Royal Rumble so Becky can get her revenge and then we'll get Ronda/Becky at WrestleMania.

The only problem I can see with that is that with both Nia and Becky being heels, a returning Becky going after Nia for revenge will ultimately make Becky a face, which means Ronda/Becky at WrestleMania could possibly end up being two faces having a match and it could all be all about "good sportsmanship" and all that crap, which really doesn't sound all that great.

However, we could still get Ronda/Becky at WrestleMania with Becky remaining as a heel if she returns as a heel to get revenge on Nia. Although, with that scenario, Nia would be the one to most likely end up turning and we would have Nia as a face yet again and it would move her closer to being "The Big Show of the Women's Division" with the amount of times she's turned.

The latter does sound better as Nia is sort of expendable at the moment as she's kinda lost what made her interesting when she first appeared, with her rusty promos and a face run that destroyed all the intimidation she had.

However, knowing what fans are like now, it doesn't matter at all who is a face and who is a heel. A returning Becky taking revenge on Nia is going to get a pop and make Becky a face (in the eyes of most fans) no matter what.

Becky could punt a puppy into the crowd every time she finishes attacking Nia and the fans would still cheer for her.

You've just seen the set-up for Ronda vs. Becky. I don't know why you think it would need to change? Becky is already a babyface. Listen to the audiences.

She's had the potential ever since WWE were dumb enough to try and turn her heel. But it depends on if they want her to be a star within their terms or not. Becky is supposed to be a supporting cast member. They change their mind with people when they get hot, sometimes, but other times they like to cool them back down to levels they are comfortable with. Becky might be in luck because they need a Mania match and she might be the hottest women's act around then. But she might also be unlucky, because if the fans chant "We want Becky!" through Nikki Bella vs. Alexa Bliss or whatever the the fuck, he might get pissed off and make sure she's thrown under every moving bus they've got.

That's all good until, again, you run into the point where Nia is terrible. She's not a very good wrestler. That is why she doesn't get the "passes" Seth Rollins gets, or the "shit happens" waving of the hand. She's always fucking up and "shit happens" when she's around. It's the same reason Brie got shit on. When you're not very good and people see you put into positions where it's obvious you're not very good, they frag the fuck out of you.

Have a feeling that they are going to do either a Triple Threat between Ronda, Becky and Charlotte at Mania or they do the Four Horsewomen storyline. They did the hug between Becky and Charlotte -- that was your biggest obstacle. Now they're buddies again. The belts could be involved. They can always move the Women's Royal Rumble to, like, July, and give the winner some focus around then and a big Evolution match. But they will do it in January, so I imagine that your winner is going to be someone outside those eight women and Becky will have to lose the belt at some point. Throwing random shit out there, I'll guess that Nia Jax wins the belt off Becky after Becky demands her and then it's Nia vs. Naomi at Mania for the blue belt.

I can also see them crowning first-ever Women's Tag Team Champions at Mania. Probably a three-way between Trish & Lita, Alexa & Mickie and The Bella Twins. But anyway, I don't have trust in the idea that they are going to go with Ronda vs. Becky one-on-one.
