Yeah that's going to be rough. Seems Anthem only has minority ownership in Pursuit so they might not have had the choice.

I think it'll end if Anthem ever decides they don't want to be in the wrestling business anymore and the sell it to WWE. With the progress they've made this year it's a bummer they can't get a TV deal.

I think Pursuit is available on most basic cable/satellite packages. It's included in DirecTV's cheapest package I know.

If you recall, WWE moved to THE NASHVILLE NETWORK and it was pretty much exactly that plus Hee-Haw reruns. Maybe the parent company is looking to change their market much like TNN/Spike did.

This made me think of a semi-local OTA channel from when I was little. When everyone else went off the air at night, they would broadcast Home Shopping Channel from like 11pm to 6am. HSC would eventually encroach on more of the day over time, until it eventually ran 24 hours.

But then, that brings up a new and interesting concept: iMPACT Wrestling on HSN!!! They fold in the concept of Don West shilling merch and some specialized HSN segments in lieu of commercial breaks, and BAM! They change the whole game!

I don't think it's a good or bad move but its a smart move for now. Getting away from Pop and onto a male dominated channel is good but if things don't go well on Pursuit I could see Anthem selling Impact to WWE. I like it though because I already watch Pursuit as it is. As for Pursuit it think it's a good move to expand the channel to include more than hunting. Would be cool if they turned Friday nights into a combat sports block.

AWE will probably be up and running befote that point. Impact isn't going away any time soon or ever. I expect an AEW announcement at the beginning of the year.

They are reportedly making some money off this deal, and they have a few international deals. Eventually I do see WWE buying them, putting TNA PPVs on the Network and doing a "Rise and Fall of TNA" special where they have AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, etc. shoot on everything that was a mess there.
