Easily out performs expectations at every takeover. Match was great at showing her being ruthless but gave lots of cred to a rapidly rising Belair. Belair is getting internet darling treatment for good reason but I think Shayna is getting overlooked for her work thus far.

I don't know what it is, but I just haven't gotten into Johnny Gargano as a singles guy. People are so hard on the guy's dick, and I absolutely loved his stuff with Ciampa against The Revival, but his singles stuff has been so...lacking any psychology or emotion to me.

I think if you love the guy, you're going to be living and dying with him as he kicks out of random moves and other guys kick out of his random moves. But because I'm only drawn in by the word of mouth, I'm always disappointed.

That's why I am so glad Gargano & Ciampa are back together. I would have been fine if they showed up as a random team on Raw or SmackDown and their entire NXT series was discarded as non-canon. But I like that they've explained them being a unit again so that they can show up on the main roster eventually and be partners, because that's the only way I don't see Gargano as a 205 Live guy and Ciampa as a mid-card heel that's got no real edge because he's not big enough to be main event and they're not going to present a mid-carder that seriously.

Fucking hell, I remember being so keen for American Alpha, Gargano & Ciampa and The Revival to all be thrown onto Raw and basically be their tag team division in 2016. You'd be guaranteed something passable each week. We're over two years removed and The Revival want out, Jordan isn't wrestling and Gargano & Ciampa have had a loooooong feud in NXT to end up where they probably shouldn't have been removed from in the first place.

Riddle vs. Ohno was interesting. Ohno is so fucking good at certain things, except for really making people care. I can't see them ever doing anything serious with him, which is a damn shame, because I think there is appeal in a dude who looks like an egg that can beat you up as good as Ohno can. Riddle's bareness is awkward and jarring to see, haha. I think they'll eventually put him in pads and boots, but it's a good way to make him look "authentic" at the start.

It's funny, because I am the opposite. I enjoyed them as a tag team, but I never got fully invested. Neither him or Ciampa truly drew me in until their unsanctioned match. Even when they fought in the first CWC I didn't fully buy in. But since that unsanctioned match, every match either has had has been incredible.

I like you don't have high hopes for them on the main roster, but maybe NXT is finally to the point where guys can just be on that brand and not be considered a failure if they aren't called up.

NXT is too good for them if they never move past NXT as a feeder system for the main roster. If NXT can truly be a 3rd brand, then the top NXT guys should stay in NXT. They can still call up the Heavy Machinery and EC3 type guys, but keep the top anchors as NXT guys.

Missed it live but just finished watching a replay.

War Raiders getting the viking themed entrance was pretty cool. Some really great hard hitting spots in this match. Tag title match was amazing. :wavesad: O'Reilly's air guitar taunt with the belts.

"King of Bros" was a much better nickname for Riddle than "Original Bro." Ouch at the kick to the mouth Riddle took. :lol: at Ohno biting Riddle's foot. Riddle vs Ohno was good overall.

Ricochet's Spider-Man style jacket was pretty cool. Holy shit at the bump Gargano took on the apron. Sweet super kick launching Ricochet out of the ring. Ouch at Ricochet's head from some of the spots in this match. NA title match was fantastic and MotN. Bit surprised Gargano won though.

Ouch at the welt on Baszler's stomach from the hair whip. Women's title match was good. Io Shirai still the only one who has managed to get great matches out of Baszler in NXT.

Holy crap at the Cutter/Tower of London onto the apron by Ciampa. Black came really close to blowing out his knees on the moonsault spot. Sick thud sound from possibly the best Black Mass kick ever. Ending sequence was great and so was the NXT title match.

Really good TakeOver overall and much better than the one NXT UK had earlier this month.

It was intentionally slower, but I feel like it told the best story. It was my favorite match of the night. Someone mentioned it earlier, but Gargano and Riccochet weren't entirely in synch and at times had to wait for each other to do moves, making it a little to coreographed. Could definitely still see it being match of the night for those that were there, because the energy was incredible.

I'm getting in on Wedensday and I'm staying until Monday, but I mean I live 4 hours away so it's not that big of a deal, I can go to the city anytime so I'm going to watch some rasslin all weekend. Gonna at least see Takeover, G1 Supercard (where I'll be 2nd row two seats from the entrance way) and Mania (where I'll be 12th row.) Might also go see Josh Barnett's Bloodsport, and RPW. If I can find tickets to either Spring Break show I'd love to go to those too if anyone could help a brother out.
