You knew this was coming, and in theory it could be a great idea, but as soon as it is teased you know what’s coming. Just look at their photo choice.
Wait, there's a female wrestler nicknamed The Man?
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:25 PM
Yeah, it’s pretty dumb. She beat Charlotte, and when you beat the man you become The Man. But she’s still using it even when not champ.
Charlotte is not a man either...
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:27 PM
Steph would love that nickname, because WWE’s idea of empowering women is to give them “Lady Balls” and perform in shittier carbon copies of gimmicks men use, instead of booking them organically and to their own strengths.
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:28 PM
Charlotte is not a man either...
No. She’s not. It’s supposed to be a quirky metaphor.
That is VERY dumb.
Only female wrestler that could ever possibly use that nickname was Chyna.
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:29 PM
“Box Office Becky” would be a much better nickname, if it were actually true.

whoa whoa whoa wait a second that's not fair...
Who are you to doubt Nicole Bass?
Mr. Nerfect

She could be “Wrong Knee Becky” after the Rumble.
(I do love Becky, but come on.)

It's 2019 Noid, anyone can declare themself a man.
She could be “Wrong Knee Becky” after the Rumble.
(I do love Becky, but come on.)
What did she do?
Mr. Nerfect

Stupid Becky Garbage Face
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:33 PM
What did she do?
She swapped which leg she was selling.
Hahaha, that is beautiful!
How does she still have a job?
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:38 PM
People really like her. She’s over comparatively, and she seems like she’s got a great attitude. She doesn’t fuck up that much, but she’s far from great in the ring if people are honest about it. I think she’s had maybe two great matches? Maybe two very good ones. But then nothing atrocious outside spots.
Who's that female wrestler famous for botching?
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:40 PM
She got over because WWE were dumb enough to have her snap and go bad-ass on a woman whose gimmick is that she’s the privileged offspring of one of the best of all-time.
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:41 PM
Who's that female wrestler famous for botching?
You’re really going to have to be more specific.
I don't know, man, you guys made fun of her here. Nia Jax maybe?
Mr. Nerfect
02-02-2019, 07:49 PM
Nia Jax hurts people all the time. She’s put people on the shelf and ruined major creative plans because she can’t take care of people. She then goes online and says shit like “this isn’t ballet” and acts like a veteran even though she’s a talentless cunt who only has a job to keep The Rock and his mum happy.
She attacked R-Truth at the Rumble and knocked him loopy enough that he got hot and wanted to chew her out backstage for not knowing her to do her job properly. R-Truth has been working for 22 years and got pissed at this girl for being shit.

Yeah, just watched a youtube video about that.
Back to Becky Lynch. She's hot.
How didn't RP post about his desire to lick her asshole here yet?

Slim chance this is going to be anything really good considering Steph's recent track record.
Pretty much either getting a Cena-like leeching of Becky's popularity or the start of the rumored "Vince vs. Austin" storyline for Steph that will likely feel too forced. If the rumors about Ronda taking a break soon are true, makes sense for Becky to be in the "Austin" role now.

If we're being honest, even with as good as everyone is, and even before a hint of Stephanie's involvement, (and I'm actually a huge fan of both Stephanie and Becky, even with their flaws,) because of Vince and the current WWE product, talent, etc., this whole Becky Lynch idea clearly had "disastrous cluster fuck of a disappointment" written all over it, even before it actually got started some months ago.
Did anyone actually think that all parties, but especially WWE/Vince wouldn't eventually screw this up before it even got truly started? Could it still surprise and be decent or better than most of the other garbage they produce? Sure, but that doesn't make it as good as it could be or as people are making it out to be.

just gonna shamelessly repost from 1,000 replies:
On one hand, Steph always makes sure she gets to be the one to announce milestones in the women's division, so it's very possible this will be confirmation that we'll be getting the first ever women's WM main event. If that's the extent of this segment, I'm cool with it.
But I have a feeling it'll be more than that. Becky will do something to piss Steph off and that tension is going to invariably result in Charlotte being added.
I think we could be headed for a WM30 type of build where they take all of the common IWC complaints about Charlotte and just use that to fuel the story. "ShoehornCharlotte" was trending because people don't want to see her added, and that's exactly why the company would want her added - they'll play off of the perception that she's the company's golden girl being unfairly inserted into the hero Becky's match.
And as much as I'd still prefer to see the straight up Ronda/Becky match we never got...the emotional payoff for the triple threat might be even better provided that they don't decide to have a WM finish so baffling that it would make last year's blush.
Oh no, keep Steph away
On the other hand...if they want to have fun they could do a female version of Vince/Austin with Steph/Bex

Well, the inmates are running the asylum these days on Raw.
No general manager, Steph's never around, show's boring, etc.
Maybe she has more to say besides the Ronda/Becky stuff? Certainly hope so since this is the "#NewEra" of WWE we're now in.

Stephanie always has to somehow throw herself into the middle of things like this just to get tv time it seems. Or later claim that it was her doing that made people stars.

I've been thinking that this is a reason that the Becky stuff hasn't moved the needle at all. I mean, I'm not trying to say she would be a draw or anything, but people are like "Hmm, SmackDown is still going down." Do any of the fans left have any faith in this not to be ruined?
And it could happen with anything that they try to give some traction. Fans aren't going to trust it. WWE have burnt people too many times for them to have that complete abandon of apprehension. Now the suspension of disbelief is suspending your disbelief that this is going to be irrelevant in a few weeks time.
Reading replies to Twitter posts about WWE is a good reminder about how many autistic people watch wrestling.
We're all they have left because they've chased off everybody else. Wrestling fans suck, and I think it is going to become a problem if "normies" decide they want to watch wrestling again. They'll just want to watch some Hardy Boyz and they'll be surrounded by screeching that Broken Matt is way much better, but I don't really feel sorry for WWE, because they fucked up things to the point where only the obsessive fan remains. Now they gatekeep.
Yeah, I was really put off by the muties at the last house show I went to a few years ago. 3 lads chanting “SUPER DRAGON” over and over again only “popping” each other. Ugh, really put me off.
Part of me thinks that modern viewing habits make WWE unpalatable. We’re a generation of binge watchers. I still prefer to watch week by week but I know a tonne of people that would sooner wait until the end of the season (even with “Event TV” like Game of Thrones) and then binge the whole season.
WWE and it’s 5+ hours of TV a week does not lend itself to a binge watch.

If the WWE was smart, they’d have Rousey go over “The Man” and continue to get the fans to hate on Rousey. Keep Ronda’s heat going. Keep pushing Ronda as a face and keep getting the fans to hate her guts. If Rousey can garner Cena/Reigns level heat, it would be a huge fan for the company.
