Saw is a legitimately scary and good film. Every single sequel is beyond awful.

If anybody likes listening to commentary tracks Cary Elwes, James Wan and Leigh Whannel are hilarious during Saw. Maybe the funniest audio commentary there is.

Point was there is money to be made in racially diverse movies. Now that Hollywood knows this, it's only natural that someone half-asses it thinking they'll get the same result as Get Out or Black Panther.

It has been announced that the new movie in the Saw franchise will star Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson. Rock will play a police detective investigating a series of grisly crimes and Jackson will portray Rock’s father. Also joining the cast will be Max Minghella who will play Rock’s parter, William Schenk, and Marisol Nichols, who will play Rock’s boss, Capt. Angie Garza. Production has begun on the currently untitled film.

The movie is being described as “a Saw experience” and was developed based on Rock’s love of the franchise. The film is being directed by Saw franchise veteran Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg.

Chris Rock and Sam L. I couldn't be less excited about but Max Minghella is a good wee talent and I like him in everything I have seen him in. He plays smug quite well, he actually reminds me a bit of Topher Grace but with a bit more natural charm and ease with himself.
