Theyre on a national stage with Ppv. Theyve reached a point where theyre beyond some little thing. I think we should act like it. Im putting it to a vote. If yay wins im closing the super thread. 3 days.

I say they only leave the megathread once they get on weekly TV.... Too early to not be in its own megathread....

I agree with this.

Any shows before TV launches, like Double or Nothing should have their own thread, but I think we can keep general AEW news and discussion to the thread for now.

It's not like the thread is too busy to follow. It may be once AEW hits TNT, but until then it's fine.

I don't disagree, and I'm fine that if the poll goes that way. My point is more how were treating it is the issue. We've got this "everything not wwe goes in the corner" mentality and this is very different from the others.

I say chill to wait and see if it's any good.

There is a bit going on of actual note, and I don't agree it should be condensed or confined. Not even with the arbitrary TV timegate. Seems like extra work for no reason to me. If you're going to do that, you may as well just divvy up every fed into its own superthread. WWE included. Hell, with the lack of posts in the RAW/Smackdown threads as of late, it is hard to say for certain if anyone would notice.

Sarcasm aside, this isn't like the backyard trash nonsense that infiltrates everything every so often and gets defended by people who may or may not just be intentionally trolling. That's super niche even for this wrestling forum, and should be elsewhere for the people who actually like that kind of thing.

I expect Double or Nothing will get its own thread, but don't mind AEW stuff otherwise being in the same place until we start having a weekly show to discuss.

I also expect D or N to have it's own thread, the BUY IN can be chatted about there as well

I agree with Vito and Lock Jaw.

Double or Nothing has enough hype to be worth its own thread but the mega thread still has a ton of use till AEW starts running monthly events or their weekly tv show.

Maybe a case could be made for NJPW to have its events split off into separate threads since it has the established interest on TPWW but then again, probably would be dealing with most events being less than a page for posts.

The number of pages for wwe things are typically less than a page

They're legit, but I don't know if the thread needs to be closed. Double or Nothing will have its own thread and then new topics will pop up organically.

Ehhhh. Have a general thread for all the little bits of news and such (Or just post that shit in the 100,000 thread). And major news, shows, and ppv should have its own thread. Easier to keep up with things that way.

I don't think the thread should be closed, esp if the poll is as close as it is (not enough consensus)

But I def agree that there were a few AEW news items that "deserve" their own thread... but everyone is free to post a new thread about it. If there are a lot of posts in a megathread about one topic, I sometimes move them to their own new thread (that's another option for mods)

So yeah I think it's good as a megathread for smaller AEW tidbits that otherwise would not have a thread posted about them, thus would just never be posted about at all if there was no megathread

Might as well leave it open, can find a lot of info in one place.

At this point we could probably do with having a single Raw thread, single SmackDown thread, etc as the interest in each show is dwindling.

Let's just make an official Double or Nothing thread on Saturday and let it go from there. We will make another for the FYTER show and the Jacksonville show.

These forums, in general, took a really gross and off-putting libertarian twist. Bunch of edgy guys who think they are cool and “nuanced” running around.
