Will this make things better or worse?
Not lead writer, but Exec Director, and he will also oversee creative
Probably worse, much worse

This all but ensures Smackdown will not improve creatively. It’s going to be all Vince. Bruce has gargled Vince’s balls for years.

Will this make things better or worse?
Probably neither and it stays the same in terms of quality.
Prior to Heyman and Bischoff being hired, he was the #2 person in Creative and both RAW & Smackdown were just as bad or boring overall as they are now.

Yeah. I think Bruce has even admitted that his greatest skill is that he “gets” what Vince wants without having to ask questions which isn’t something anyone else can do. So this pretty much just means Vince is writing the show now without having to actually write the show.

guess that's why there was no 83 weeks this week. easy e is to laid back to work for vince.

Make Smackdown! Better or worse? Well you have the ULTIMATE McMahon kiss ass in charge of the show... Eh... but Raw has Heyman and is also much worse.
I have zero faith in Prichard. He's even worse than Bischoff in catering.

I didn't think eric was in the long term plan anyway, he was just there to make fox exes happy over the move. hope eric did not buy a house up there.

Ahhhhhh. It just keeps getting better and better.
Like to know the details on what's up with Bischoff. Absolutely nuts if he's really gone 2 weeks into Smackdown on FOX.

I now hope Linda goes the big house and Bischoff visits her in prison for an Impact promo

He will have spent two weeks with his gloriously tanned face buried in between Steph McMahon's beautiful natural breasts, motorboatin'.
If he got caught it's probably because she came so hard that Triple H slipped on it in the locker room and saw Bischoff hiding up her skirt when he landed.

Took just 2 weeks for WWE to start upsetting FOX.

It’s like RP wrote out a post, took a nap, and then woke up sober to edit it before hitting “send”.

Soooo, we got a pool going on how long Smackdown's gonna last until FOX ultimately cancels it?
FOX can cancel it, right? Been a while since high school tv production class.

It's always been rumored that they would demote to FS1 if that were to happen.
Ol Dirty Dastard

it'll be on FS1 in due time.

Those looking for WWE to "get better" need to "get real". It's not going to happen. WWE has been steadily in decline since the failed Invasion angle. Some periods of decline have accelerated more than others, and financially obviously they have themselves in a "Can't lose situation", but that doesn't mean they will turn around the ship creatively. The monster is to big to tame. There is too much content for WWE to even take it seriously themselves. The rise of WWE creatively will only come after their fall. Which is inevitable.
Mr. Nerfect
10-16-2019, 05:38 PM
You’d think FOX would be able to cancel. It doesn’t make sense that they wouldn’t. That being said, given it seems to work like sports licensing, it does make more sense that they would just put it on a channel where 2 million viewers is impressive.
erickman
10-16-2019, 05:50 PM
they can move it to fs1, but fox is putting it on dead tv night anyway. so they are not expecting high ratings from the start.
Sepholio
10-16-2019, 06:25 PM
Yeah if SD can keep 2-2.5 million viewers on Fox it ain't going nowhere. Friday is for sure dead night and that's a pretty good audience size on it.
Mr. Nerfect
10-16-2019, 07:06 PM
Didn’t Fridays on FOX get 3 million people on Friday during the regular season, or am I mistaken?

10-16-2019, 09:44 PM
You don't win bidding wars with THAT kind of dollar value with the same outs that a normal sitcom or drama show would have.
I am 100% sure Fox can't simply cancel the show. They would move it to FS1, like others have said. It is their only real option, and I'm sure WWE would have placed something in the contract that states they get an automatic extension if they are moved to FS1.
As for Bischoff, I think it was all a stunt, drum up some interest, and be a scapegoat when we need one.
All the reports of Bischoff not doing anything, it just seems like it wasn't a real hire.

That seems to be the average for Fridays since around this time last year FOX was getting the 3-4+ million range for a cooking contest series.
Going into SD's debut, they had a show or two hitting the 6+ million range for Fridays but then they had other shows during the year hitting well below sub-SD numbers on average.
Mr. Nerfect
10-16-2019, 10:27 PM
Yeah, I remember reading that a Tim Allen show was getting 6 million people.
Seanny One Ball

Why isn't Tim Allen a billionaire
Seanny One Ball

Would you rather watch two hours of Smackdown or a Tim Allen show for half an hour?
I choose Tim.
Ol Dirty Dastard

Tim for a half hour, every time. Especially if it's a re-run of home improvement i've already seen 4843678 times.

The choice was too easy in retrospect. Only a fool would choose Smackdown.

30 seconds and then I realize it's According to Jim and then SMACKDOWN
screech
10-17-2019, 04:22 PM
I'd watch several episodes of Home Improvement, Last Man Standing, and/or According to Jim instead of Smackdown.
Seanny One Ball
10-17-2019, 05:35 PM
So we're agreed that broad daytime comedy is better than Smackdown at least.
But what if it was 8 Simple Rules after Ritter died?
Seanny One Ball
10-17-2019, 05:36 PM
I'd still prefer that.
Ol Dirty Dastard
10-17-2019, 08:41 PM
Yeah I'd go 8 simple rules instead of smackdown. Segment-to-segment might differ though. Like if it was a really great half hour stretch of Smackdown I'd watch it instead of comedy reruns. But if it's the whole 2 hours versus 30 minutes of sitcom fluff, sitcom fluff wins every time.
Seanny One Ball

Young Kaley Cuoco though.
She still looked human.
Seanny One Ball
10-17-2019, 08:51 PM
Right OK, so 2 hours of Smackdown or an hour of Melissa and Joey? That's tough stuff.
Also Damon Wayans Jr is in a dreadful show now. I'd rather see Smackdown. My limit is Damon Wayans Jr in daytime TV.
Ol Dirty Dastard
10-17-2019, 08:53 PM
