They need to have a sign somewhere, preferably hanging right in front of Vince McMahon's head that says "People want to live vicariously through their heroes." It's such a simple concept that WWE avoids with basically every babyface on their roster. Who do you want to be? If the "WWE Superstars" were your friends, it feels like you'd need to stand up for them in confrontations because they don't have the balls to do it themselves.

Chad Gable accepts being mocked. Rey Mysterio gets pushed around. Rusev is an unwilling cuckold. Ricochet is a nerd. Seth Rollins is a fucking dickhead. Roman Reigns gets his ass kicked and shrugs. Kofi doesn't care that he was WWE Champion and now he's not. Owens begs for his job. Daniel Bryan might be the only decent babyface on the entire roster, but he sells for sympathy when he's a face a lot. He gets duped a fair bit too.

Chad Gable is a freak Olympian. Rey Mysterio is a living legend. Rusev should be banging his hot wife and riding around in a tank. Ricochet doesn't need to talk and could be Nightwing instead of Spider-Man. Seth could...ugh, fuck Seth. Roman Reigns beat cancer and if they turned him heel ages ago he would be the coolest motherfucker on the planet right now. Kofi...eh, he's Kofi, but if he sold losing the belt and turned The New Day into thugs looking to kick the shit out of people because he can't stand being humiliated, then it's something.
