I think he's a victim of the same kind of situation of like... a Bayley or the sort coming up from NXT to Raw/SD.

He had a great organic story with BTE and growing into his own and having some huge matchups that showed some natural progression moving up the card in NJPW/ROH, like his G1 where he didn't win a ton of matches, but got a win against Suzuki (I think) and had a few big singles matches.

Bayley had her whole underdog finally overcoming the odds with the crowd organically behind her in NXT. When she got to the main roster, they couldn't really retread that same story, but then there were a bunch of people not familiar with that whole story so she was just kind of there.

Page has the same thing going on, in that he was positioned during the launch as a potential big deal, but he doesn't yet have that presence or renown to just have that be "true" like Omega or Cody or the Bucks. So it didn't ring quite true.

In a few months or so, once they've had some more people established and gotten the wrinkles ironed out of their show, I think they can get him some big wins and a couple of major feuds and he'll be able to move back up like they tried at the start.

I know some people are down on the number of stables/groups--and spooky ones in particular--but I think that's the NJPW style the Elite are familiar with and it works fine there. It's rough now because they first impression of several of them are "spooky weirdos" and not really differentiated, but that's going to come with time.

Dark Order now vs four weeks ago is night and day. The Brandi stuff is a little poorly timed alongside what they're doing, but I'm willing to give it a chance to breathe and grow. They've done a lot of paying off subtle things over the longer term and have earned the benefit of the doubt from me. If it were WWE, I'd just assume it would stop in two weeks and never come back up again.

I think there was an interesting nugget in the promo last week that they do the dirty work that the rest of the Nightmare Family doesn't want to be associated with. I'm not sure how they expand on that, but that good definitely be a differntiator.

I really enjoyed tonight's episode. I loved everything with Jericho, he is the best, and Cody was also awesome tonight. The main event was killer, I love the Bucks and P&P are totally top 5 tag team in the world right now. The Omega & Page/Sabian & Spears match was really good. The Janella angle was pretty good but I wish it had been a little more detailed in the aftermath. Kenny Omega & Page were fucking awesome though. Page did leave "The Elite" like two Being the Elite's ago, and it seems like they could be starting a story between Kenny and Hangman. That would be perfect I think. I think that match could be a match of the year.

Dynamite right now arguably feels like what NXT was before NXT moved to the USA Network. Streaky in terms of consistent top quality because of the long gap between PPVs so you'd get your fair share of great episodes in a row and then average to good episodes that just move along until the pieces are in place for the next great run.

Meanwhile outside of a couple of weeks, NXT feels like what people thought AEW was going to be in the sense of being very heavy with in-ring stuff and little else.

It's hard to adjust to AEW's way of following up angles with sometimes 2-4 weeks between ... such as Spears and Janella, or the slow cook on Cody and MJF but my oh my isn't it great to get that f'n payoff!? We haven't been around long enough to get a serious AEW babyface pay off but, it will happen eventually. Cody alluded to an eventual "Match Beyond"... you'd have to imagine The Inner Circle vs The Elite. When that does finally happen, it's going to be f'n fireworks. I can't wait.

Also I want to say, remember how bad Joey's promo was last week? Well he was kind of the same in his bad acting this week. There is a part of my that wouldn't mind if he was replaced with someone else with big promise once his contact is up. I think he'd be best off as an indy super rebel like he was before AEW.
