I don't get Tazz as a color commentator

I was shocked that Tazz got a gig in AEW. I totally thought the consensus was that Tazz was awful in a sometimes entertaining way.

He just rambles on and on making no sense doing shtick.

What am I missing?

I loved Cole and Tazz as a team during all their years together on SmackDown. They played well off of each other. Haven't really enjoyed him otherwise.

Felt like a signing just for the sake of a signing.

Love Tazz as a rassler. Don't love Tazz as a commentator. He should be a trainer and teach people the glorious brutality of the 8,762 variations of suplexes he knows how to do. And maybe have him be a backstage interviewer or something, maybe do segments on that new variation of AEW Dark they are bringing to TNT. But yea, keep him away from the commentating.

I enjoyed him on SmackDown, without really paying too much attention or remembering a great call he made off the top of my head. He is pretty bad though. AEW will hire every announcer on the face of the planet.
