Yeup. They've been slowly getting better at weaving multiple storylines into their weekly shows and even doing it for random matches.

Now that they've got another "end zone" to build towards, they're rolling again. With Revolution on the way, they ahve a definitive endpoint to build towards and aren't just trying to make stuff happen to fill TV. They've always been great weaving multiple stories together, even back on BTE before TV.

There real problem has been making sure they have stories still going after the climax of a PPV. We hit a real rough spot after Full Gear and with the Christmas break a few weeks afterward.

Based on what they've got percolating, there should at least be some Elite/Page progression or a new chapter in the weeks after Revolution. I'd also assume that's when the Dark Order recruitment storyline will ramp up. So, I'm hopeful this time we won't have such a downswing.

8-man tag match was amazing.

If this was WWE, it would have been a lot more slow paced and full of match momentum killing rest holds. Even NXT and NXT UK falls in that WWE style trap a lot of the time.

Main event segment was great. Did a way better job making MJF look like a despicable asshole to a big fan favorite than WWE's attempts with Corbin on Smackdown.

Show itself was very good overall. Only real weak point was the Janela-Sabian match since it dragged the show down for a bit. Everything else was pretty good to great.

Just watched the 10 lashes segment. My only slight gripe was that they went overboard with Cody’s reactions. But it was all to build drama so... it was worth it I guess. And MJF is such a little piece of shit. Love that guy.

MJF has yet to disappoint. And I love that they've limited his match time. He's this snotty asshole who doesn't get in the ring enough to get his comeuppance. I couldn't tell you if who will win this blood feud they're building. But I love that they protect MJF by keeping him out of matches. It'll make his eventual ass whipping so much better.

He's what EC3 should have been in WWE if it wasn't for Creative and/or Vince being very incompetent. Not even NXT really knew how to handle his character from Impact.

Before his AEW signing and recent star rise, people mocked MJF as being nothing more than a low rent or knockoff version of EC3 in Impact. Since then he's surpassed EC3 both in character development and star status.
