Read a pretty interesting idea elsewhere of how Matt Hardy could potentially show up tonight if he really is the "Exalted One" for the Dark Order.

Involves the idea of him having a technicality with his WWE contract considering it would have ended yesterday under normal years but because this year is a Leap year, the extra day might not count against him.

Also the stage for Revolution looks pretty good. Supposedly the video screen is going to be interactive during the show according to PWI.

Really he was handicapping himself for the last month wearing the eye patch. I honestly figured he was going to pull a blood packet out of it since I couldn't figure out why he started bleeding.

Overall the most intriguing thing coming out of the show was probably the buckshot tease Hangman did on Kenny.
I should assume they will probably lose to a heel team and then he turns on Kenny, but I think he'll still be popular.

The cody/mjf match was a letdown from the 5 months of buildup and I get it's not over, but I just didn't like the match.

Crowd was dead for the Womens match, whatever.

Guevara and Darby was probably the best match of the night.

Tag title match was so good. Love Hangman Page and the slow build to it all boiling over. Feel like they could’ve kept MJF with Cody a bit longer before having him turn on him, and this Hangman stuff is going at just the right pace. Really enjoyable story.

The fans that go to AEW shows, for the most part, are the sort that would leave on fire to dry your pants in the apocalypse. The idea that impressing modern wrestling fans is the goal is very short-sighted. What impresses them doesn’t impress TV audiences. They are the most hardcore of the hardcore.

No I didn’t. I thought it was fucking exhausting and rotten. I had to stop watching the tag match. Matt Jackson’s “acting” alone was a big enough turn-off. The Young Bucks still yell inane phrases in their matches. No one in this match was a good enough worker to be believable when they went slow at the start. It looked automatic and Omega was jumping into moves to assist allegedly getting hurt. It was fucking boring.

All these explosions and crashes with bad acting reminds me of a Michael Bay film. If you want to enjoy that stuff, that’s fine. Lots of people do (although AEW certainly isn’t at blockbuster levels). But don’t tell me it’s fucking Citizen Kane. As we say down here, don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining.

It’s like a nod to good storytelling and commitment to an angle, but it’s more the pay-off for a pop in the ending sequence of a match.

If Jericho had agreed to leave all his goons out of it. Do that how you want. Maybe a bunch of babyfaces help take them out to set up War Games? Then Moxley reveals his eye has healed in the opening minutes of the match, Jericho shits himself and Mox blitzes Jericho. There can be blood, Mox can lap the destruction of Chris Jericho up. The crowd will be all over it. Jericho can get a break with a low blow. But he doesn’t really need anything. Mox can win the belt because of his surprise. Jericho can whinge about being deceived. That would at least make sense.

I always took “Swaggie Time” to be named after his sandwich in Perry, OK. If the sandwich has changed its name, I think Swaggie Time can.

It wasn't like the bullshit in the Bucks match where they were setting up for the Meltzer Driver, and the rope diver got pulled off the apron, so the other Buck just stands there with his opponent in piledriver positon shocked and frozen in the spot for several seconds instead of just piledriving the guy anyway. They didn't even show if he just let him go, or some counter happened, because the camera was too focused on the fight outside.

Besides, I was more bothered by the camera being super close up on Mox when he was down and trying to thump his eyebrow to get the blood flowing. Shouldn't have really been zoomed in on him like that. Felt like one of those times where in (insert wrestling company here, but most notably WWE) when they have the steady cam with a mic right up somebody's nose exactly when they're blatanly callinig spots. If the cameraman backed up just a couple of steps and turn down/off that mic, it wouldn't be that obvious. That was more of a technical snafu, though, that wouldn't have been caught if they were on a shot of Jericho right then.

On the other thing: I wasn't aware of him having his own sammich. Guess "Swaggie Time" remains.
