Honest to god I need those jumping puzzles after a fight to calm the fuck down. The game is just so much fun and the massive arenas means you can do some spectacular things. I do think I'm wearing out my E key with the amount of punching/Glory Killing I'm doing but I'm having a blast.

It's times like these that piss me off that Bethesda can put out mind-blowing DOOM games but have given zero fucks about trying to make a decent Fallout or Elder Scrolls experience for approximately 1 decade (well, aside from publishing New Vegas, but let's be honest, Obsidian put all the work in on that one).

Skyrim didn't scratch my RPG itch. Fallout 3 had a great soundtrack, but the story was pretty dumb and convoluted.

According to Bethesda, launch weekend sales for Doom Eternal were the highest ever in series history and doubled what Doom (2016) did for its launch weekend for some comparisons.

Bethesda released some vague statistics today to tout how well Doom Eternal is selling. It's the best-selling Doom game ever by opening weekend numbers, and it has raked in twice the revenue that 2016's Doom did in its first weekend sales. Here's a more concrete statistic: Doom Eternal topped 100,000 concurrent players on Steam over the weekend; that's only one of its three platforms (at the moment, Switch is coming eventually).

I bought the game for Stadia. I wanted to see it in "4k" and it's damn good looking.

I'll probably play it in Chrome on PC tho. I've never been that great at FPS games on a controller.
