AEW fans think that Darby Allin is cool. I honestly don't think most of them know how to turn their TV on, let alone channel flip. Honestly, most of the time they are probably watching a black screen telling people that what they're seeing is fucking amazing.

And Darby Allin is not cool. Riding a skateboard to the ring wasn't cool when Johnny Ace did it. It wasn't cool when Shane Douglas did it. It isn't cool now when Darby does it, even if he paints his face.

Only reason I don't really bother making NXT threads is due to usually not getting around to watching the show till much later in the week.

Same viewing habits when Lucha Underground was around since that was the show I watched on Wednesdays and NXT at a later time in the week.

I’m sure they see *something* in the guy. He’s got a mean mug and he’s obviously got enough interpersonal charisma to fuck Scarlett Bordeaux. Remains to be seen how committed they are to him as a “project” though.

He’s older than I thought, turns 35 in July. But he doesn’t have a ton of mileage on him or anything as he started his wrestling career at 29.
