Charley is the most beautiful woman in WWE since Elizabeth. I want to watch her cute smile for the next three hours. Let's just have a show where the wrestlers try to charm Charley and I'll probably watch most of it. Unlike this show which has a lifeline of at most an hour for me.

Poor Garza, all those weeks trying to hook up with Charly Caruso and all it took was one glance from Ivar for her to instantly fall in love with him instead.

Emperor Smeat
07-13-2020, 08:28 PM
Did WWE mess up the crowd audio for this match?

Sounds like they are piping in fake noise while also keeping the mics on for the actual crowd. Don't think they did both at the same time before for these PC shows.

Hopefully this time she lasts longer than a couple of weeks on the show.

Emperor Smeat
07-13-2020, 08:53 PM
Wait ... Truth has been 24/7 champ 37 times already?

That's kind of crazy considering the belt is barely over a year old.

Bit of a lame promo by Baszler.

It took about 20 seconds and I know Vince is already canceling Shayna again.

Jordan

She should just beat people up and put them in submission holds, never speak. She is horrible at talking.

Honestly I am really excited to see what WWE does with the reported CGI/special FX they have in store for this gimmick match.

Supposedly the current rumor for the CGI finish is

The winner yanks the loser's eyeball out soo hard that its just dangling from the socket.

Also supposedly it won't be a bloody mess style spot like something you'd see from a Mortal Kombat game.

That's kind of eerie considering how true it is.

Like lets say a person started watching wrestling at 5-6 years old, they'd be 20-21 now with Ziggler around for almost that whole time.

Eye for an Eye is fucking stupid.

The Miz has been on WWE TV for even longer than Dolph Ziggler. He appeared in 2004 as part of Tough Enough. He’s been there for 76% of SmackDown’s duration as a show. Miz debuted 16 years ago. 16 years before that the Mega Powers hadn’t exploded yet.

The WWE should just cut everyone that made their debut prior to 2010. Especially now that AEW is not a threat. The guys probably worth keeping from that batch are Brock, Orton, Rey and Edge, but you could go on without them.

Good scene from Show & Flair.

Mr. Nerfect

Ric Flair vs. Christian should be a CGI match at Mania next year. Heat from when Christian asked Tomko to “escort Mr. Flair out of my office.”

Mr. Nerfect

Wrestling is so stupid now, they should have a mad inventor show up and claim he can put wrestlers’ DNA into a computer so they can enter an avatar of themselves in their perfect form. Christian vs. Flair, I’m telling you.

99 combined title reigns for the 24/7 title in a little over a year is pretty crazy.

For some comparison, decided to look up what the old Hardcore title did back in the day and it only had 13 reigns during its first year plus some change. That belt didn't start going crazy with tossing out reigns left and right until WrestleMania 2000.

slik

Is Show vs Orton not an HORROR SHOW EXTREME RULES match?

Him and Asuka arguably have been the MVPs of the RAW brand since the the start of the empty arena shows period.

The 24/7 rule for the Hardcore Title didn't kick in until early 2000. There were 56 title changes over the course of a year when it kicked in. They only did two house show changes in 2000. When they started doing changes on house shows, it moved around a lot more often. That's how Raven ended up a 27-time champion and you got 240 champions by the end of August 2002.

Neither the 24/7 Title nor the Hardcore Title is supposed to be prestigious. The gimmick of it is that it changes hands all the time and is mindless stupidity for talk shows, public appearances, house shows, etc. I don't give a shit about it and wouldn't have done it, but R-Truth is basically the Crash Holly of this era. His performance as champion is not supposed to be graded next to Mr. Perfect's IC Title reign.

Mr. Nerfect
07-13-2020, 10:19 PM
So much for Shayna being ordered from TV.

slik

Mr. Nerfect
07-13-2020, 10:20 PM
MVP has been surprisingly good from what I've seen. The bits I've seen of Bobby Lashley have really shown improvement in him as an overall worker too. Apollo Crews has been stepping up too. Not to the point he's an MVP or anything, but he's clearly trying to put all the pieces together and be worthy of his US Title position.

Jordan
07-13-2020, 10:20 PM
LOL @ Smeat analysis of 24/7 Title Stats.

Emperor Smeat
07-13-2020, 10:22 PM
This Ricochet vs. Lashley match was pretty much the same routine as their match a couple weeks ago except this time being shorter in length.

I would say Sasha/Bayley probably the MVPs of brand blue PC era

Yeah those two and Otis have been the only real consistent bright spots about Smackdown in recent months.

Mr. Nerfect
07-13-2020, 10:27 PM
Sasha & Bayley absolutely suck on the mic. Somehow, Sasha still manages to shine as a star, but they need to let her cut more organic promos or give her a manager herself. I'd be fine with MVP with her too. That would fit.

Otis fucking sucks. I didn't mind him in a tag team match I saw, but his presentation outside that is fucking awful and the dream sequence bullshit is as stupid as anything on AEW (well, almost -- at least I can buy Otis and Mandy being goofs and agreeing to dream sequence shoots as a lark). They don't even give you enough skimpy Mandy outfits in it. A fucking waste.

The wrestling is the highlight of SmackDown. The best in-ring stuff you get from any American promotion -- Bryan, Cesaro, Nakamura, New Day, Gulak, Gable and Morrison bringing the goods.

slik

Mr. Nerfect
07-13-2020, 10:29 PM
I've actually been really impressed with Apollo Crews, but I'd be totally fine with Sasha Banks beating Asuka and Bobby Lashley beating Apollo Crews after subbing from MVP to become champs on Raw.

Emperor Smeat
07-13-2020, 10:31 PM
Why does the ad for Extreme Rules have a random roar from a leopard or some other wild cat included?

Doesn't really fit with the "Horror Show" tag line they've been building up considering the Swamp Fight and eyeball pulling matches.

Emperor Smeat
07-13-2020, 10:58 PM
 at Bayley randomly standing right in front of Asuka and Sasha and not even bothering to break up the submission because Kairi wasn't ready for the counter spot.

Made Bayley look extra dumb.

Emperor Smeat
07-13-2020, 11:05 PM
Finish was whatever but Women's Tag title match was very good overall.

RAW itself was decent to pretty good overall. Didn't really drag like most RAWs in recent weeks but that first hour was mostly forgettable. Outside of the Women's Tag title match, the matches tonight were mostly forgettable while the story stuff was mostly good in general.
