According to sources, the superstars in the faction are being kept close to the vest by upper brass and will not be immediately revealed.

However, from what we’re told, the group is set to “cause chaos” in WWE from a storyline standpoint and use any means necessary to get the attention of management. Our sources say the “chaos” is being caused by the group in an effort to loosen control over WWE Superstars and change the way the organization operates.

Our sources additionally tell us this storyline is specific to WWE and NOT intended to be political.

RAW itself was weird to say the least. First half of the show was pretty terrible even by RAW standards while the other half felt like a typical RAW episode but with some wacky ideas sprinkled in. Oh, absolutely. It seems to be getting a good reaction most places. If it encourages people to actually work a more authentic style, then fucking go for it. That's been needed in wrestling for a long time. Could give them a star or two. One of these guys could end up as the Brock opponent for WrestleMania.

I've also thought that it would make sense to find substitute programming for the third hour of Raw because it is just untenable and counterproductive long-term. Raw Underground being a more risque, late night program could be an answer to that.

It'd be nice if they got the person in charge of it to be someone different to Kevin Dunn. From a booking/aesthetic production perspective, I wonder what MVP could do if he were given some sort of governance over a show? Wrestling is so fucking white. Yeah the ropeless ring for RAW Underground gave off some nice Bloodsport vibes but the rest of what they showed off didn't really do so.

If the idea was to present a new way for squash matches, it wasn't really that effective. The first guy they showcased was starting to get winded after just a few seconds of work.

Why would a security camera pick up sound? Why would they be making so much noise? Why did they wait until they were close to the security camera to start making this noise? This is just horribly directed and produced. Film students could do a better job of this. And they've got Full Sail. Give some of those kids a chance doing some shit.

The Shield looked pretty bush league in terms of their get-ups the first week too. Remember the turtlenecks? Hopefully this is ironed out, but I don't trust WWE production. Kevin Dunn needs to move into a different position and enjoy his stock options.

WWE needs to get out of their own bubble and accept that what they actually put on is not great television. They do great video packages and as far as cues, cuts, etc. go -- they nail all that. But their actual aesthetic direction is fucking abysmal and has been for years and years and years. And the more they try to get avant garde with it, the worse it looks. If you have an idea, there are no doubt plenty of people in the world looking for work who could help you do it. A bunch of people taking out a generator to a building is a whatever idea in concept. Film it fucking properly.

The concept of the Underground is a potential huge step in the right direction. It all depends on the execution of it. It was introduced yesterday that the Underground is a place where there are no rules while fighting. This is cool, except in-ring WWE fighting currently doesn’t have any rules either.

With that, this a chance for WWE to implement rules in their matches such as: no closed fists, no knees to the head, etc.

This would help the legitimacy and realism of their matches and also assist their former MMA talent keep their credibility. As of now, how should any former MMA trained wrestler ever lose? It’s not believable. So the Underground can serve a way to protect the legit fighters that have turned to WWE.

An example of an angle could be:

In a WWE match, Riddle instinctually knees Corbin in the head in the heat of the moment and gets DQ’d. Corbin brags about his victory, which leads to Riddle wanting to challenge him in the Underground where he can legally knee his face in.

There are a ton of simple, effective ideas to do with their talent in this environment, but there needs to be logic, consistency, and effort (LOL).

It kind of ties in his awful commentary run, his referee work, his desire to buy the UFC and him being an ageing gen-xer into this pretty entertaining character. i don’t watch raw or smackdown other than clips i sometimes catch online. those two raw underground clips remind me of something that it should be within the first 10 seconds but i didn’t actually see them doing. firstly, those strippers are obviously wearing clothing that doesn’t expose any cleavage and they are dancing in the unsexiest way possible, so get rid of them. it is really cool seeing what a 20x20 ring actually looks like without ropes or posts, that part is great if you just want to resemble mma. my first thought was that they should try to make it more like shotgun saturday night, get a balcony and a bar and some neon in there. maybe bring back the surviving members of DOA or something, i’unno
