Wonder if they will use a similar setup as what the NBA is doing since that's been working very well for them.
Also seems like a big mistake to start holding shows outside of their "bubble" since its not like the coronavirus situation in Florida has gotten that much better or safer.

LOL no way Vince is spending tons of money on CGI. They will probably just do like baseball with cardboard standups.
Unlike baseball however, there is also no way Vince is spending even a little bit of money on cardboard standup with variety.
He will probably get somebody to drive a Uhaul from the warehouse in CT lol.

So, Vince is going to rent an arena. Have Summerslam. Fancy set. Probably some pyro.
Zero fans. BUT, the possibility of carboard cutouts or CGI.
Does any of this make sense?

Maybe something similar to what Roger Goodell did during the NFL Draft whenever they showed team fans on his video screen at home where he gave a quick shout out to those fans and they reacted in return to him and their team's pick.
Wonder what they are going to do with the Retribution group since I doubt WWE is going to allow them to keep destroying things at a place WWE doesn't own.

Well yeah. Many of those people who buy the ringside seats pay that money so they can be seen, not because of the view. So they’d still be accomplishing their goal.

According to Spectrum Sports 360, city of Orlando is allowing WWE to stay at the venue till at least October 30th.
According to Spectrum Sports 360's Jon Alba, WWE has an agreement with the city of Orlando, Florida, to run shows at the Amway Center through October 30th with no fans in the building.
Alba tweeted that he spoke with a city rep who gave him the details and that barring any amendment, WWE will be able to run empty arena shows there for the next two-and-a-half months. On Friday, Alba posted video of WWE trucks preparing to load equipment into the arena, further confirmation that the company will be kicking off a residency of sorts starting with next Sunday's SummerSlam.

According to reports, WWE is paying the arena around $450,000 for their upcoming two month stay.
Also seems WWE won't be able to tape on days other than Sunday, Monday, and Friday which is why NXT wasn't included for shows at the venue.

WWE recently posted their rules regarding fans signing up to be shown during ThunderDome broadcasts.
Basically they are going to keep tabs at all times of everyone who sends in a cam stream and nothing lower than the midsection can be shown for obvious reasons.
All registered fans are further selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please make sure you are camera ready. Remember, you will be appearing on a live show. We reserve the right to remove you from the live stream at any time, for any reason. The audience will be refreshed throughout the night and you may not be included in the entire broadcast. In addition, we may remove you from the live stream for any inappropriate conduct or technical issues. Watch the show through the stream on your device. Position yourself in front of your camera from your midsection up, leaving a little room above your head. Make sure you have good lighting. Only one fan permitted per seat. Your attire must be appropriate and must remain on at all times. Officially licensed WWE clothing is preferred, if available. We reserve the right to terminate your participation at our sole discretion if your attire contains any immoral graphics, images or text, any political statements, slogans, logos, graphics or other commercial identification of third-parties other than the WWE, its athletes and sponsors.

That as well to help make the crowd visuals look as normal or uniform as possible.
Kevin Dunn's twitchy fingers on production will actually be useful for once since the moment someone even tries to do anything that could result in a potential dick or boob flash, their cam feed is going to get cut just as fast as Dunn's cam cuts during regular matches.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin, WWE will be issuing fines to fans who violate their rules for their new ThunderDome.
Not sure how that would even be enforceable since that's only really possible for people who actually work in the company.

Satin: "As far as sound was concerned, it seemed like the crowd noises were still piped in audio and not genuine noise from the audience, but this was still just a test."
The main point of having a crowd is the noise, not seeing their dumb faces on screen imo...

I had gotten the invite to be part of this test, however, I didn't check my email yesterday so there went that chance. Honestly, I think this is worse than no fans.
Problem I see is that the focal point of the product is what is going on in the ring. Normally, the crowd is distant in the background and only those in the first few rows really have anything to do with the product (i.e. outside of the ring action). Since the background is proportionally larger now, the crowd will no longer be as distant. Therefore, the focal point will change. It will be easy to be distracted by looking at the "fans" to see what ridiculousness is out there and not watching the product. They should just keep it the way it is. Limited staff at ringside to keep the idea of a crowd there until a normal audience is allowed. This is going to be a total stink bomb of an idea.

According to a report from Inside The Ropes, WWE is currently working on plans to potentially hold tapings at different venues once their ThunderDome deal with the Amway Center expires.
May or may not include outdoor venues since that has also been something they've looked into for plans for some time.
WWE is making tentative plans to travel again and run shows in different venues after their ThunderDome contract with the Amway Center expires next month, according to a report by Inside the Ropes.
WWE’s contract with the Amway Center expires on October 31.
WWE wrestlers have been told that tentative plans are in place to start traveling to other venues soon, the report says.
Of course, plans could always change and WWE could end up extending their deal with the Amway Center. The possibility of moving to other venues could also be used by WWE to leverage a better deal for an extension. If there’s another coronavirus spike, that could also change WWE’s plans.
Depending on how frequent they change locations, that could be a very risky plan especially if they continue with weekly live shows schedule instead of being live every other week that they were doing prior to the ThunderDome. No other notable promotion is running live shows every week since its too much of a risk for constant outbreaks.
