Card and preview for tonight's 205 Live show:
205 Live will play host to three thrilling bouts tonight, as Tehuti Miles collides with Ariya Daivari, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch throw down with Ever-Rise in a rematch from last week, and Mansoor is in action in singles competition.

Miles appeared to be closing in on a statement victory last week, but The Brian Kendrick had other plans, as Miles’ showboating allowed the crafty veteran to roll him up for the quick 1-2-3.

After the bout, a frustrated Miles begrudgingly accepted a handshake from The Man With a Plan, who told him, “Drop the ego, and you’ll be a star.” Miles will have a chance to get back in the win column tonight against Ariya Daivari, who was furious after Miles made demands following last week’s edition of the purple brand, as the 205 Live original believes he’s the one who calls the shots.

Will the Performance Center standout heed Kendrick’s veteran advice? Or will the dastardly Daivari have another trick up his sleeve for Miles?

Chase Parker & Matt Martel got within a millisecond of a victory last week, but the official halted his three-count just in the nick of time when he noticed that Martel was illegally holding Lorcan’s leg to the canvas while Parker was attempting to pin him.

Moments later, as Ever-Rise argued with the official, Burch trapped Parker in a submission hold to score the tap-out victory for The Brit-Am Brawlers. Parker and Martel will look to pull out all the stops to gain a critical win tonight, while Lorcan & Burch are more than happy to once again slug it out with their newfound rivals.

Plus, Mansoor is back in action! Mansoor has been on an incredible roll since returning to the purple brand several weeks ago. Will his streak continue tonight?

Additionally, Legado del Fantasma were spotted in the backstage area, and an impromptu interview turned hostile when they were asked about NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar being pinned by Isaiah “Swerve” Scott during a Six-Man Street Fight on NXT. What could Legado del Fantasma have in store for the purple brand tonight?

That promo by Paul Heyman was one of his best in recent years.

Reigns pretty much pulled a Lesnar by just doing nothing and standing there while Heyman talked.

Heavy Machinery vs. Miz & Morrison was somewhat dull and went on for too long.

Guess Otis is feuding with Morrison next over his MitB case since Morrison just stole it.

Starting to think WWE really doesn't know how most of the injuries they have someone blurt out for medical updates actually works.

If Big E suffered major lacerations from getting smashed through a car windshield, then shouldn't there be blood somewhere. Same for him suffering internal bleeding but medics treating him the same way like every other storyline injury.

Almost half of the show done and not really much has happened in terms of interesting stuff.

Just Paul Heyman's promo to start the show and Sheamus' ambush of Big E backstage.

Made it look like Nia just dropped to the floor because Sasha couldn't hold her weight.

WWE finally pulled the trigger on a Sasha vs. Bayley feud after waiting way too long to do it.

Don't blame Bayley for beating up Sasha since Sasha's obsession with wanting to be a Double champ just like her lead to a bunch of losses and more headaches for her to deal with.

Going from Big E to Jey Uso as a potential title challenger to Reigns is a bit of a buzzkill.

Then again at least that saves Big E from being the throwaway sacrificial lamb for Reigns' first title defense since he's not dropping that belt any time soon.

His MitB lunchbox is now his new MitB case while the MitB case is now his new lunchbox full of meats.

That toss into the virtual crowd spot by Corbin was a bit lame more so because no way was Corbin going to smash those expensive screens.

:| Jey Uso won the match. Guess WWE really was going to put Big E in that spot before writing him off for the time being.

4-way match was pretty good though.

Same for Smackdown in general this week since it was one of their better episodes in recent times. Flowed by pretty well and had very little dull or boring moments unlike most SD shows. Need to think about it a bit but currently leaning towards feeling SD was more enjoyable than NXT for this week's WWE shows.

In addition to a blockbuster main event that pits Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch against Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza of Legado del Fantasma, 205 Live will also feature Ever-Rise competing in a tag team match and Ashante “Thee” Adonis looking for a singles bout against another veteran.

After being savagely pummeled by Legado del Fantasma during their tag team match against The Brit-Am Brawlers last week, Chase Parker & Matt Martel missed out on the opportunity to gain retribution when they lost a fan vote to determine who would battle Wilde & Mendoza tonight, a poll which was won by Lorcan & Burch.

Nevertheless, after catching a beatdown from Legado del Fantasma, Ever-Rise will certainly have a chip on their shoulders when they step between the ropes for a tag team collision tonight.

Adonis, who has been mired in a bit of a losing streak, believes he needs to alter his approach to get back in the win column. Despite recent defeats to The Brian Kendrick and Ariya Daivari, the brash young Superstar is looking for a match against another seasoned veteran that can bring the best out of him tonight.

This opening Heyman & Reigns vignette is pretty good but sort of miss the show preview run downs WWE did for a few weeks that had wrestlers talking about their upcoming matches and other stuff set for the show.

Those were way more effective in generating interest to start a show than the stale and dragged out 15 minute promo format WWE almost always does.

That heelish promo by Reigns was good ... and now the walking dullard known as Baron Corbin decided to ruin the good mood of this opening segment.

:lol: they blacked out the chair stomp spot Bayley did to Sasha last week for the highlight replay.

WWE makes some really dumb choices at times when it comes to production and cam work like this new shitty censor style for dastardly spots.

IC title match was decent despite the non-finish.

Was going to laugh had it been a squash since like two of the first three moves in the match were Jeff Hardy's signature and finisher before it quickly went to a commercial break.

Not sure if that was meant to be a cheap dig at AEW's Matt Hardy controversy or just another dumb thing added for a Jeff Hardy storyline in recent months.

Lucha House Party vs. Cesaro & Nakamura was pretty good despite the abrupt finish. Gran Metalik is soo good in the ring and arguably the best cruiser WWE currently has on the main roster and also the best cruiser that hasn't held the Cruiser title yet.

That's also two matches in a row that ended either via no contest or distraction and there has only been two matches so far.

Bayley's promo was decent although WWE really needed to turn down the nob on the crowd audio since it was drowning out her promo.

Bayley also gave a pretty great reason for her attack on Sasha since she claimed both were just using each other for their own selfish means and she decided to be the one to strike since she had no use for Sasha anymore.

:lol: at the botched crowd reaction for this women's 4-way match. Ref only counted to 1 but someone in the back didn't pause the fake crowd audio in time so they counted to two.

This women's match has been meh so far but Alexa moving one step closer to becoming Sister Abigail is interesting.

She did Bray's finisher to Nikki and even included the kiss part to Nikki's head.

Ouch at Tamina botching the Tornado DDT spot.

That women's 4-way match was pretty bad. Whole thing fell apart after Bliss left.

Main event was decent. Reigns heel run has been very good so far and can easily tell he feels way more comfortable in this role than what WWE had been doing with him for the past few years.

Show itself was mostly decent overall. Wasn't that good but wasn't that bad either outside of the middle portion of the 2nd hour. Outside of Bliss teasing more of her turning into Sister Abigail, very little real interesting stuff happened tonight.

Current shenanigans are attempts to get nuclear heat. Having him in a triple threat but not really participating makes him seem like a dickhead. He needs to keep leveling up the asshole attitude week after week if this is going to amount to anything. Not holding my breath an give it about 90 days before the start/stop of it all...... yet again

The WWE Universe can tune in for a highly anticipated rematch between Danny Burch and Tony Nese, as well as Ariya Daivari welcoming Cruiserweights to Daivari Dinero's Division tonight on 205 Live.

Burch is looking to return to singles action in winning fashion after dealing with the likes of Legado del Fantasma and Ever-Rise alongside Oney Lorcan in recent weeks. The bruising Brit put down Nese in a one-on-one bout last month. The Premier Athlete paid the price when he chose not to capitalize on Burch’s vulnerability when he checked on Lorcan following an attack by Daivari.

Cesaro vs. Gran Metalik was decent but also one of the weaker quality matches Metalik has had in WWE.

Lacy vs. Nikki was bad. Ref not caring that Lacy was using hand sanitizer as a weapon despite seeing it happen right in front of his eyes made him look like a moron.

Almost one hour into the show and its been lacking the energy other SD shows had in the ThunderDome.

Also doesn't help that the crowd noise volume got turned way down for tonight's show compared to how WWE was handling it before for ThunderDome shows.

The back-to-back Reigns vs. Uso hype video and Sasha's interview segment were the best stuff on tonight's show so far.

Guess Bayley isn't a fan of Sasha having a neck since that's the second time she has tried to destroy it.

Styles vs. Zayn was pretty good.

Someone in production must have fixed the crowd volume button since its back to its usual volume for these ThunderDome shows.

What's with WWE and them needing to add subtitles to their shows these days.

Clash of Champs joining the growing list with the its "Gold Rush" subtitle.

So that's why WWE security sucks.

They can be easily paid off to look the other way or do dastardly things based on Sheamus revealing he bribed one of them in order to help lure Big E into an ambush a few weeks ago.

For a match called a Samoan Street Fight, doesn't really feel any different than a regular WWE style Street Fight.

Match itself was pretty good though.

Smackdown itself was decent overall but mainly due to the second half of the show being a lot more enjoyable than the first half. First half was closer in quality to the dullest episodes of SD this year.

I'd laugh if Retribution interfered again leading to another no contest since its clear WWE wants to give Lee a big push but at the same time don't actually want to pull the trigger on it since it would mess up their current WWE title plans.

It feels like the whole Retribution angle is to build to Lee vs Dijakovic on Raw. Lee gets the superstar treatment and red carpet laid out for him on arrival to Raw while Dijakovic doesn’t so creates a group to disrupt WWE - well, just Raw.

Apparently WWE didn't bother to update the 205 Live page for tonight's show. Only known details about the show via WWENetworkNews.com:

Another episode of 205 Live is airing tonight on WWE Network. And this time, the brand hasn’t promoted exactly what will air. Generally a preview goes out a few hours prior to Smackdown, but this week there was no 205 Live preview nor promos by 205 Live brand stars promoting the episode. What we do know is WWE Universe members who are logged into the Thunderdome have said a 205 Live taping is occurring, and that Mansoor is featured.

:| Sami, Hardy, and Styles facing off in a random triple threat match despite them also being booked for a triple treat for the IC title in a couple of days.

Unless Sami wins this meaningless match, whatever heel heat he gained from that sneak attack at the end of their promo segment is going to get undone.

Whelp WWE gave away who's winning the IC belt at Clash of Champs.

Sami won the meaningless match while Styles got the upper hand over him and Hardy by getting to grab the belts afterwards. That leaves just Hardy left for the winner's list.

Guess Miz must have hired MJF's dumb lawyer from AEW since Tucker managed to find a loophole in his legal papers.

Gran Metalik vs. Nakamura was decent.

First hour of this go-home show was a bit dull although was still better than this week's RAW in general.

Retribution randomly showing up and being made to look just as bad as usual would be way more interesting than what has happened on tonight's show so far.

Corbin's End of Days finisher looked sweet but that match with Riddle was whatever. Same for their feud in general.

If it wasn't for Bliss wearing those nylon stockings or brown colored panties, probably would be showing off a plumber's crack since her tights look lower than usual.

Crazy Alexa with that messed up hair look was wonderful.

The stuff with Reigns at the end was great.

Rest of this week's go-home Clash of Champs episode was somewhat boring overall.

Smackdown since Reigns has been back has been pleasantly good, mostly thanks to him. It's amazing how making one guy feel like an actual star that is bigger than the brand can actually drag the feel of the whole show up.
