In the wake of her epic Hell in a Cell Match against Bayley, The Boss must defend the SmackDown Women’s Title in a rematch against her former best friend turned bitter rival.

Bayley claimed Sasha doesn’t know how to retain championships after winning them. Will Banks prove her wrong and go on to face Raw Women’s Champion Asuka in a Champion vs. Champion Match at Survivor Series? Or will next week simply be the start of a historic new reign for The Role Model?

The storied rivalry between Sasha Banks and Bayley will come to an end, this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX

Apparently WWE changed their show preview format for SD at least for this week. Only other stuff announced was two Team Smackdown qualifiers for the men's side.

Card and preview for tonight's 205 Live show:
Tonight on 205 Live, Mansoor looks to remain undefeated when he takes on the resurgent Ashante “Thee” Adonis, while Curt Stallion has recruited August Grey for a tag team bout against Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari.

Mansoor and Adonis have seemingly each made loose alliances with The Brian Kendrick in recent weeks. The Man With a Plan has imparted his veteran wisdom on Adonis, who has displayed plenty of raw talent but also an inability to stay laser-focused during his matches – at least until he finally defeated Kendrick in his third try several weeks ago.

Mansoor defeated Kendrick in singles competition two weeks ago, then joined forces with him last week to pick up a tag team victory against Ever-Rise. What will happen when Mansoor and Adonis, who have faced off frequently, once again slug it out?

Immediately after bursting onto the scene of 205 Live, Stallion found himself at odds with Nese and Daivari, who consider themselves the 205 Live O.G.s and have claimed that Stallion isn’t in their league.

Stallion, who lost to Nese in singles competition but defeated Daivari, has been challenged to a tag team match by the former Cruiserweight Champion and The Persian Lion, and he has recruited none other than his longtime partner Austin Grey.

What will happen when the old school takes on the new school in what is certain to be a fiery tag team collision? Find out on The Most Exciting Hour of Television, streaming on WWE Network at 10/9 C tonight!

Going to laugh if Sasha somehow loses the belt tonight considering her streak with title reigns or if this big hyped up match ends in a no contest or DQ considering WWE's recent booking habits.

Smackdown Women's title match was very good.

Probably could have done without the Super Cena-like "overcoming the odds" booking Sasha got at the end since Bayley quickly tapping out made her look weak considering all the punishment Sasha was getting before it.

Forget Retribution's terrible storyline and handling, this never-ending Mysterio Family shit gets my vote for worst WWE storyline this year.

What better way to celebrate the monumental 205th episode of 205 Live than with a pulse-pounding Fatal 5-Way Match to determine who will get a future NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match?

Curt Stallion, August Grey, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari will match wits and fists to earn an opportunity at the crown jewel of the purple brand.

Since his arrival last month, Stallion has taken 205 Live by storm, picking up a pair of wins against Daivari (one by disqualification) and suffering a narrow loss against Nese. Most recently, Stallion recruited his longtime friend Grey for a tag team match against Daivari and Nese, though the 205 Live newcomers were defeated in controversial fashion.

Speaking of Grey, the 205 Live rookie isn’t short on charisma or in-ring bona fides, as he showed during last week’s tag team match. Will we see an alliance between Grey and Stallion when the bell rings, or will it truly be every man for himself?

After suffering through a lengthy losing streak, Adonis started receiving some unsolicited teachings from The Brian Kendrick. In subsequent weeks, Adonis has become a more focused competitor and even scored a victory over The Man With a Plan on 205 Live. Adonis has also turned some heads on NXT, most notably coming to the aid of Isaiah "Swerve" Scott and attacking Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza during "Swerve's" NXT Cruiserweight Title Match with Santos Escobar at NXT TakeOver 31. Adonis will need to keep his head on a swivel for what is arguably the biggest match of his career.

Nese, who has formed an alliance with Daivari in recent weeks, is the only former Cruiserweight Champion in the bout and has enjoyed a recent hot streak, as he’ll enter the fray with four consecutive wins on the purple brand.

Daivari has routinely rolled out the welcome mat for 205 Live newcomers, only to quickly chastise them and look for an immediate edge over his newfound peers. All the while, Daivari hasn't been shy about proclaiming himself and Nese as the O.G.s of the purple brand. Will he once again look to join forces with Nese to overwhelm the 205 Live rookies?

For whomever emerges triumphant, their work will just be getting started. Escobar has established himself as a dominant champion since capturing the vacant title in May, retaining against the likes of “Swerve” and Jake Atlas. And on the rare occasion that Escobar has been reeling in title fights, Legado del Fantasma have been there to provide an assist, making the task of dethroning Escobar significantly more daunting.

With how bad the patch stood out on his mask, thought for a moment there was going to be a big surprise moment either during or after his match where he reveals that his eye has healed up enough that he can see from it again and back to his former mask look. Wouldn't have made that much sense given the nature of his injury but then again WWE logic rarely does had they gone ahead with it.

Nese and Daivari’s plot for Ever-Rise and The Bollywood Boyz to help one of them emerge victorious from last week’s 5-Way proved unsuccessful, and along with it Nese and Daivari’s promise to grant them future title opportunities. Instead, the two teams will return their focus to tag team competition as Chase Parker & Matt Martel battle Sunil & Samir Singh.

This opening talkie segment just keeps going on and on and might be the longest one in recent times for the Blue Brand.

WWE got extra lazy with the team booking stuff for this year's Survivor Series build.

First it was both the RAW Men's and RAW Women's teams were dysfunctional and full of hatred for each other and now the same was sort of done with both teams in this 8-man Tag Champs vs. Zayn, Corbin, Ziggy, & Roode team.

The 8-man tag match itself was pretty good though.

Apparently Adam Pearce now suddenly has the power to decide on the spot who gets to be members of Team Blue Brand's Men's and Women's teams.

Otis and Bayley got named as members despite not having to do anything to earn it.

Same style diss as when Heyman mocked JBL years ago about his lengthy title reign and being a top champ on SD was only due to Triple H didn't like to work on Tuesdays.

Murphy vs. Rollins was very good but laughed at that match being mostly Murphy getting beaten up a lot and him winning via getting lucky with hitting 2 moves at the end.

Also :lol: at how fast they segued to the start of the next segment with Sasha. Gave Murphy's win no time to get soaked in.

Ouch at Jey Uso's ear getting smashed into one of the edges of the exposed SD faceplate from the ring announcer's table.

Got really lucky it didn't puncture or jab his ear drum.

Bryan vs. Jey Uso was very good.

Compared to RAW's go-home show, SD's go-home show for Survivor Series was a ton better overall. Even without the comparison, it was a pretty good show overall this week.

Not sure why they bother giving Asuka Promo's to do when all she can do is shout into the mic and come off like an idiot for the most part. Grey has also been a thorn in the side of Ariya Daivari. Tonight, Daivari and Grey get to settle their issues straight up, one-on-one, man-to-man.

Either tonight's show is having one really long match or going to have a ton of filler since last thing anyone wants is a 30+ minute Daivari match if he's still as boring in the ring as he was when I last watched the show around a year ago.

Roode & Ziggy vs. Street Profits was pretty good despite the ending being seen a mile away since it was a non-title match to lazily set up a future tag title match between the same two teams.

Sami vs. Bryan was very good and WWE didn't do the lazy thing of having Brayn beat Sami solely because it was a non-title match and Sami doesn't have a challenger yet for TLC.

Did end via shenanigans so WWE's lazy booking habits wasn't completely avoided.

Tonight's booking of match finishes has been weird. Not a single match so far ended in a way that made the winner look good or have a non-fluke victory.

Otis vs. King Corbin never happened because Jey Uso beat up Otis before the match could even start.

Roode & Ziggy vs. Street Profits ends via surprise roll-up.

Sami vs. Bryan ends via countout due to Sami's shenanigans.

And now Natty vs. Bianca ended via roll-up due to Bayley's interference.

Full expecting this upcoming Corbin vs. Murphy match to end in some shenanigan-based way.

:| That Corbin vs. Murphy match might have been the dumbest match of the year for the Blue Brand in terms of how ass backwards the booking of it was.

Murphy wins via Rey and Dominik constantly cheating in his favor despite the Mysterio Family being faces and Corbin was the heel. Corbin didn't even do any real heelish cheating to warrant that reaction by them.

Owens vs. Jey Uso was pretty good despite the lame DQ finish.

Not a single match tonight ended without some sort of shenanigans or fluky thing happening.

This week's show was mostly fine overall. Had a few interesting stuff happen like the Bryan vs. Sami match and Owens post-match stuff and it mostly flowed well but had a really rough patch for a good chunk of the show and some of the booking was all over the place.
