A game where you can simulate AEW? That sounds cool!
Can't wait to see how many flips I can book on one show and how many times I can bring up WWE

AEW Games' press conference ended up being a parody of Apple's events when Steve Jobs was running the company. Even down to the black turtle neck sweater and jeans combo look for the hosts.
AEW Casino: Double or Nothing ended up being the rumored mobile game that's in development and planned to be released this Winter.
AEW Elite General Manager got confirmed as the booking sim game currently in development. This is also a mobile game.
The unannounced console game from Yukes was revealed to be inspired by WWF No Mercy and even has the game's original director working on the project.

No, the Yukes game is for consoles.
Not sure about the cartoony art style. I think more realistic models would sell the game better, based on how some of WWE's more stylized games have fared.

eh, looks good enough. Almost looks like a modern "WCWvNWO" style of game - which will be very fucking fun, if that's the case.

Video game Kenny looks like John Cena killed Kenny and is wearing his skin.

Reminds me a bit of the "Day of Reckoning" games on the gamecube, the characters in that were sort of chunky\blocky looking.

Yeah, it sort of looks like a modern take on the old AKI N64 style of games with some WWE All-Stars influence at least in terms of the models.
Even though its still early in development, seems Yukes still has some problems when it comes to creating accurate looking faces and/or hair for certain people if that Shida model is any indication.

Remember seeing that on the demo system when i went down to buy my copy, was a real eye opener seeing people with their actual finishers, in the world tour game just about everyone had a powerbomb variation as a finisher as it was basically a rushed release.

Wouldn't have really been possible due to cartridge size limitations, it had over 60 wrestlers so no chance of being able to fit even compressed versions of their themes.

Don’t care about the mobile games, only the console game. It’s a wait and see for me since this was all very early footage. If it plays like No Mercy though I’ll be very intrigued.

No Mercy had 74 wrestlers, along with a ton more content, and it had themes for everyone.

Bigger budget for No Mercy so they could get the cartridges with more memory in them for the (heavily compressed) themes and video gifs.

Be fun if they threw some of the announcers in as playable like the old AKI games (and even some of the SmackDown series games)
I'm taking Tony Schiavone through career mode!

You didn't need the N64 expansion pack to play No Mercy. Is that the "bigger carts" you are referring to?

Nope, the difference of cartridge memory was a cost factor, they went from 4mb to 64mb. From what i remember Conkers fur day and resident evil 2 are 2 of a small number of games to use the entire 64mb, and for RE2 they had to make a ton of space saving by using different methods of compressing and downscaling the fmv sequences to save on memory.
The bigger the cartridge storage the more it cost: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64_Game_Pak
Vs a cd which cost around $3 or so and you had 650mb of storage vs 64.

Half the roster used the nWo theme or Wolfpac theme

A lot of the guys in the WCW games didn't have very memorable themes anyway.
Dat Psycosis theme tho

Judging by the look of that Jericho model in that video, I like that they don't automatically give everyone six-packs and toned muscles like WWE do.
Not that I've played a video game since the PS2, but it's still fun to look at the newer ones now and then.

I remember being a bit shocked seeing No Mercy was $10 more......... (off topic but also) was disappointed not realizing I could send my cart back to fix that glitch it had in it.
