Rules:
Everybody selects TWO people from the AEW roster, ONE representing Singles and the OTHER representing Married / Tag Teams. No duplicates allowed. If the contest hasn't yet started, you can change your selection once by making a new post saying you're changing your selection (don't just edit your original post).
Your wrestler is eliminated if he or she submits or is pinned during a televised or streamed match on Dynamite, Dark or a PPV event. Disqualifications, count outs, or being eliminated from a battle royale does not cause elimination. In multi-man matches (tag, triple threat, etc.), only the person who is pinned or submits is out. NXT will never does not count.
In the event of a match finishing via KNOCKOUT, the Small Council of Elders have met and come to the majority decision that from season XXVII onwards a KNOCKOUT will count as an ELIMINATION.
Your wrestler will also be eliminated if he or she goes three weeks without having a "televised" match in an AEW ring for any reason whatsoever (injury, future endeavors, etc.). There is a constant countdown going on from your wrestler's last match, so even if bad luck happens - you can still potentially win as long as everyone else loses in that span. As AEW appear to be utilising weeks off (such as Christmas), the countdown clock will be frozen on any weeks where no shows occur. In the event of two or more competitors being eliminated on the same day due to this rule and that impacting on podium positions (rank 1-3), the wrestler positions will be determined by time of last performance (meaning main eventing is more valuable than opening). In addition, the three week ruling will occur at the end of a show if one is running concurrent to the cut off date, meaning anyone who loses on the show will place lower than whoever gets three week'd. PLEASE NOTE: A WRESTLER MUST PARTICIPATE IN AT LEAST ONE MATCH TO EARN A PLACE ON THE PODIUM. In the unlikely event that less than three wrestlers remain after the initial three weeks, podium slots will default to those who survived the longest by conventional means. In other words IF YOU WANT THE AWARD YOU MUST ATTEND. If you suffer a ban for the length of the game you will be disqualified. If you suffer a ban for the length of the game you will be disqualified.
If you win you get your choice of either first pick next season or two picks for the next season. If you take the option of two picks, you must wait until at least FIVE other people have selected in order to prevent you from becoming The Skippord. If you are inactive upon winning to the creation of the next season, you will not get first pick and instead get 2 picks. In accordance with previous versions of this rule, new seasons will only be created after a minimum wait period of two days.
A wrestler must be an active participant in a match for it to reset the three-week timer. Lumberjacks, special referees, managers, "enforcers," guest commentators, etc. do NOT count.
WWE flavour Survivor has been discontinued due to it sucking balls. We offer our condolences to all remaining fans of the main roster and are deeply deeply sorry sorry. We make this decision safe in the knowledge that Big E would have finished second.
Sign-ups are allowed until the start of the 2nd December 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite at the start of the show, in the beginning of this night, right then, on Wednesday 2nd December, on this day, eliminations will be eliminated, starting on this show, on the WWE television, in the name of Goldust.
Winning wrestlers must sit out 3 seasons before returning. In the increasingly likely event he jumps ship, Aleister Black is out for winning Season 35. Kenny Omega is ineligible for winning season 36. Luchasaurus is ineligible for winning season 37.
For winning season XXXVII, Gertner has agreed to peace talks and agreed that in exchange for sealing WWE in the upside down "forever" he shall be allowed first picks with no restrictions. Therefore, he has opted to be represented by two TAG TEAM BOYS, Austin Gunn and Stoo Grayson. What does mean for the future of TPWW Survivor? Well, tt means no WWE. It means why didn't you pick Billy Gunn, Gertie? Billy Gunn never jobs. That man is jacked up on PEDs and pure cut ego.
In another dramatic twist, reigning TPWW Survivor Japan champion teamXtremist has decided to throw away his IWGP trophy straight up in the air like he's Tetsuya Naito or something and in addition to waiving his winner's prize has seemingly purposefully eliminated himself first in the current season. Why? Because he wants to win that Triple Crown baby, something only Vito has managed to pull of so far. In order to give himself an immediate push to the top of the US scene, he's signed an exclusive deal with Tony Khan (which still allows him to work in Japan) to allow him second picks of this AEW season. He has decided thus - the meaty duo of Miro & Brian Cage. We now resume our regularly scheduled programming.
I will be participating in the game, but in the interest of fairness, I won't make my pick until at least ten pairs wrestlers have been selected and will then who will I choose? Who knows!? Probably Fandango. Dunno.
