Yeah it was a high end "revenge" thriller.
Only the stakes were so low as to be non existent so it's like he just goes out to be a badass on purpose.

I like how the people who know shit themselves immediately; the old guy seeing the tat, and both the blackmailer AND blackmailee being like "fuck that" when they learn... but everyone else is like "what's the problem?" and don't find out until it's too late

I can see this potentially getting at least one sequel, kinda like RED. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if it took place in the same universe. Or was forced to for the sake of "[insert name] cinematic universe" cred.
