View Full Version : Vastardikai fixes the AEW Women's Division

I'd put it in the AEW thread, but it felt post worthy on its own.

Anyway, one of the biggest issues with AEW is the Women's Division. The guy who is in charge is fairly incompetent at his job. And much of the women's roster are green at best. But all is not lost, as I have come to fix the whole dumpster fire. AEW, with the resources at its disposable, should be fixable with a few noteworthy additions. (I am not going to fire Omega, but he shouldn't be in charge.)

First major addition is someone to give the AEW Women some kind of direction in front of the camera. I don't mean Brandi. I mean someone who people will recognize, who doesn't have to talk very often, and who can be just the person to give them a boost PR wise. I'm talking about Amy Dumas, aka Lita. She can be the straight shooter in charge of the women in front of the camera, and you can talk about how she is trying to clean up women's wrestling so it isn't a toxic place for the girls, like it was for her generation. I am not going to say use her as a champion, and I am not saying put her in the ring, except for one time. and I will mention that one time here shortly.

Second major addition is someone to give the AEW Women some kind of direction behind the camera. I mean, teaching them how to work and how to form their matches. And there is one individual who has a history of being very good at that: David Finlay. You bring him in, pay him however much he wants, give Jr. a spot when he is ready to come back to the US. Just make it happen. The Women pretty much work with him and Dustin (and whoever helps them, like Thunder Rosa). His role is to get the future of the Women's Division on par with who the designated top stars are. And truth be told, if there's a way to make Omega's role of EVP a ceremonial title while Finlay does the actual fucking work, make it happen.

I know what you are thinking. That's all fine and good for the future, but what about right now? All I have done is build infrastructure. And you're right. Because there are two folks who need to be signed to AEW contracts and made to be part of the company's top tier of women. One is obviously Thunder Rosa. The other will ruffle some feathers, but good. Feathers need ruffling. I am talking about Tessa Blanchard. Is she controversial? Yes. The fact is, she comes in as the new top heel. She runs roughshod and ends up with the AEW Women's Belt. She feuds with Deeb, Rosa, Shida, and Baker (who are considered the top tier of the division, booking wise). Mostly winning those matches until one of those 4 ends up beating her for the belt. After her title run, she riles up Amy to the point where she has one last match with Blanchard.

TL/DR version. Sign Lita as a figurehead. Sign Finlay as an agent. Sign Blanchard and Rosa as top talent.

I actually want Tessa to go to WWE to work a programme with Charlotte. Yeah I can’t believe I’m saying I actually want a talent to go to WWE.

The feud would be built around the legacy of the Flair and Blanchard names; Tully always played second fiddle to Ric despite being more talented, Tessa won’t play second fiddle to anyone.

These are good ideas. Thunder Rosa is a fucking star. She needs to somehow get the title in AEW. All for Tessa coming in.

Tessa v Thunder Rosa with Rosa chasing the belt. Inject that shit into my veins.

There’s no fixing AEW let alone its Women’s Division.

As soon as I saw " Amy Dumas " I stopped reading. You had me until that.

She's fucking terrible. She never was that good in the first place either.

Also she got gang pissed on by like 5 wrestlers in ECW.

"Being Good" isn't the point in bringing her in. She has name recognition (which the AEW's Women's Division desperately needs). People tend to like her, because she took the risks most women Stateside never would at that time (for better and for worse). And she would be an incredibly sympathetic signing, considering the whole "Forced to do the Live Sex Celebration" thing. I don't give a flying fuck about "being good" when all I need out of her is "being sympathetic" & "being known."

I am suggesting to bring in Tessa and keeping Rosa permanently for the purpose of "Being Good."

Lita as a name is a good idea. You can milk her for a few matches and she's got name recognition. It'd be good signing for them.

the problem with the AEW women's division is theres not enough female talent to have one. booking women because its the woke thing to do isnt going to magically solve the problem. you fix it by axing it until there's enough tv ready talent and we're 10 years away from that.

It’s not even the woke thing to do, although Destor is right on the money. Most woke individuals recognize wrestling women’s movements as complete bullshit (which they are). True equality would be treating the women organically and finding ways for them to make money using their actual talents. Not treating them like the men arbitrarily and presenting them on that curve.

They definitely put the cart before the horse with this division.
